On the Impreza subject, I'm thinking it would look pretty cool if the center grille was removed and the side grilles were connected, to create one single grille. However, I think it would look a lot like a current-model Civic Si, or, worse, an Evo!

And back to the new STi, am I the only person here who thinks that front end looks exactly like part of a bad ricer bodykit? It's tacky.
 
Actually the Trailblazer is pretty ugly. I need to find the guys at GM that thought Chevy's should have slanted cat's eyes and slap them for being idiots. But you know what beats out the Trailblazer in ugliness? I Silverados and the Colorado...at least on the GM side. I can find a lot of ugly cars though.

Form should follow function, and the Multiplia is a great example of that. It may not be pretty, but it's functional - I like it very much.
 
Well as I said before I really like the new design... here is a photoshop of the Sti as many of you would like to have it : Ah well, no that would be really boring... looks like a Saab .... after seeing this you maybe get used to the new design :

Can you explain how the bulge is functional? So you can light the top of you bonnet?

Face lift is much better.

That photoshop does look very dull, I think it is because the grill is bigger than on past Imprezas.

That PhotoShop looks really nice,but the rear end of a normal STi would never go with that so it would also need a new conforming rear (with a streamlined look like the front)

Agreed. Practical vehicles don't have to look like the automotive equivalent of Michael Jackson.

And I like the photoshopped Impreza much, much better than the real one. The real grille reminds me of an aardvark; not exactly what you'd want a hardcore performance car to be associated with. While the photoshop looks a bit plain, it's nowhere near ugly and it won't offend anyone or turn off potential buyers.

I really wished it turned out that way. Its gorgeous.

But the real one doesn't bother me much, but I'd prefer the 2004. However, it is growing on me.

Oh God, this belongs in the "questionable modifications" thread! :yuck:

I'm liking that shop though. It looks like the old version VI grill skewed just a little. The version VI will always be my favorite. The bugeyed Ver. VII almost drove me away. The version VIII came sooo close to beating the Ver. VI and may have equaled it but this, this is just...why, subaru? Why?

Who designed the car? I'm willing to take a guess and say it was the same team that screwed up GM trucks...so Isuzu
