Ya know... I arrive at my crummy job on Monday morning and check my email to see who said what on GTP. Then I check to see what interesting new threads have been started over the weekend. This breaks up the monotony that is Monday. But today was pretty disappointing... only two new threads started, and not very interesting ones, at that.

So let's start a new thread. What should it be about? No politics. I'm sick of all the bickering. Something light, but meaningful. And funny. Everybody enjoys a good laugh.

I turned in a solid 39,2sec / 14,100rpm at the kartingtrack in Genk this saturday.

Astonishing, really.

-- This is the what did you do this weekend thread.

Uh.

I broke my PC and fixed it, then I wen't around to Ben's house to beat him up, got the lads round had a few beers, watched a few movies, wathced the footie played a few games and left around 4am. Got back and logged on to GTP at about 5am.

Sundy I just studied and lazed about listening to CD's.

This is the what did you do this weekend thread.

Hey good Idea. I painted what is becoming The Baby's Room this weekend. The plan is a night ocean theme. The sky (upper half of wall and celing) is dark blue (not too dark), and the water, the bottom half of the wall, is a lighter blue with a "water line" separating the two colors. I got those down and I'm surprizingly happy with it. I almost abandoned the idea for fear of screwing it up but it's going well.

The next step is the sea animals... A whale (orca type), a dolphin, a seal, a sea turtle, a lighthouse, and various tropical fish. I have everything but the fish drawn, but they're stamps anyway. So the animals are the next step. Providing it turns out okay I'll post pics of it.

I fixed my neons, fog lights, and washed my truck this weekend. Its the first time my truck is running a 100% since the accident. I also watched the game. 👍

Swapped the Integra's engine into the CRX i just got, went to the Habs-Capitals hockey game, went out with longtime friends, finally got some water (it was frozen solid in the pipes since Wednesday!), watched in total boredom the Superbowl with my girlfriend... That's basically it.

Saturday I hung around, then went to town and attempted to buy Half-Life for PS2. Upon failing I went home.

Sunday, I did homework, ordered HL PS2 online, then invited my friend over to play SmackDown!

I played Half-Life pretty much all Saturday. Sunday I unburied the driveway with the snowblower, did homework, played HL some more, and watched the Superbowl.

Rossell, be careful with your PS2 copy of Half-Life, I rented it and when I saved it only quick saved it, not permanantly. When I went to play it later after turning my PS2 off, my saves were gone. Hopefully you won't have that problem. It's better on PC though, the controller for PS2 doesn't do HL justice(Aiming with the dual joysticks is a pain).

As of Saturday, started a new game of GT2 for two hours (is 6 a GTP record?) went to work for 8 hours, bought flowers and a card for my mother's 60th birthday celebration, had two glasses of wine, Thai food, played with my brother's new video camera, ran around with my nephews and went to bed.

Sunday involved sleeping in, buying groceries, purchasing new dishes, looking at styles of wedding invitatons, read my new Autocourse and made a spaghetti lunch for Kathy and her mom. Took out the trash and watched the Superbowl while eating leftovers.

Man, it seems like I did a lot this weekend.

I had to work all day Saturday (6:30a - 9:00p... why do I work more on Saturdays than weekdays?). Bought new shoes and a baseball glove Sunday and watched the Super Bowl. I was gonna buy pencils, but it was either pencils or the kickoff, so I canned the pencils.

Fairly exciting...

Sounds like pencils would have been more exciting than the game.

Well, we have to make sacrifices.

Saturday, I went to the mall for job applications and watched my high school varsity basketball team loose once again to the cross-town rivals. :irked: I played a little bit of Vice City and Sim City 4. Then I watched Sports Center and fired up Flight Simulator 2002 for a quick trip from Honolulu Intl. to Hilo Intl. On Sunday, I made breakfast for my family, did my chores, and ordered pizza. Then, it was all Super Bowl for the rest of the day. It was very exciting, since my Mom is a big Raider fan and I'm a big Raider Hater. :)

Yeah, really... if I had known...

I quit watching at halftime, too.

Super Bowl?

When was that?

Seeing as how it's just a football game I'm assuming I didn't miss anything...?

Saturday-- Sat at the computer all day, mainly at GTP

Sunday-- Sat at the computer all day, mainly at GTP. After dinner, I did my homework, then organized my sock drawer.

'Tis a sweet life.

My sock drawer is unorganisable. Part because all my socks are the exact same.

Well, looked at cars the whole weekend trying to figure out what to buy. The third car I test drove was a '97 Z28, and fell in love. here is the link of the guy who is selling it. www.jonschultz.com/z28 Find out tomorrow if I get approved for the loan or not. *crosses fingers*. I already have planned out mods that need to come off the car and others that need to be put on. Besides that, worked, and trying to figure out why I am getting errors with my new sharkport and problems with the vga adaptor. *frustration*.

So, uh, which wing does the 'Z' have on it now? That SS wing is lookin' good, but that other wing is plain tacky. That's one mod I always see on Camaro's that I hate...that wing.

What do you like most about it? The way it throws your ass back in the seat when ya' press the 'go' pedal?:p

It has that bigger wing on it right now, but I personnally don't need that wing on it. The car has enough grunt to be considered an SS. I am unsure what wing I will put on it. I think the stock Z28 wing would be the best. The best part of that car I think, besides the scary deep throat sounds, the mean look and mainly laying waste to 3 cars while test driving it, compiled of , a civic(no chance in hell), a mustang, and a 300zx. The car just feels great on the open road. Decent ride, low miles for a '97. A friend and his father which both know chevys inside an out. It is one thing to go fast with a turbo. It is another ball game to go fast in an all motor car. :)

If it has enough to be considered an SS would you consider re-badging it as an SS? I think the SS wing looks awesome. You should ask him if you can get it if he still has it, and if you want it, of course. Wouldn't take much to get an SS hood, and some badges...:p

That's cool as hell that you got to race a few people during the test drive. I take it Mr. Schultz wasn't in the car with you at the time?:D

Good luck with the loan. Hope everything goes through for ya'!:)

So - is there like a "Full save" option? If not then how the hell does it save?

On the subject this'll be the first game I'll have to save with a second Memory Card.

Lastly I'm going to burn down the local Royal Mail depot because the bastards didn't turn up on a 52-house estate to deliver mail. I mean c'mon, 52 houses must have mail? :(

Nah, he didn't go out with me on the test drive. As for turning it into an SS, I am not going to do that. I like more of the sleeper car then standing out. It would look real nice with the hood and all the looks, but that is also money invested that could go to better things for it. I am going to try to get it to the point where it will burn Z06s and possibly keep up with vipers. what would you do if your driving a viper and this Z28 keeps up and possibly evens passes you?

Saturday, I was in Queensland.
Sunday (Australia Day), i spent the whole day travelling back home to Sydney. Took the whole day.
