Because that doesn't really count as its an oval. It's still technically the longest though.

I thought he said it was just longer than the Nurburgring. I don't think he said it was the longest track in GT6.

Im amazed by how seriously everybody takes a translation of what Kaz said.

Whether he said "longest in GT6" or "longer than the Nurburgring", it doesn't really matter. It'll either be about 27 km or about 31 km; either way it's not much of a difference, it's still a REALLY long track.

Plus, the longest track in GT6 is an oval; it's also not a real life track. So even if he said "longest track in GT6", he could easily mean "longest track that isn't just a big oval."

Relax. It's going to be long either way.

It's pretty wide and smooth though. Wouldn't be surprised if it still had slower lap times than the 24h Nurburgring.

I know it's technically a track as such but man, SSRX is so long and boring it's only functions as a test track for me, otherwise I never use it. I don't mind big tracks just give me something to do!

Where's the source of him saying it's 27 kilometers long? The only source I found in which the new track is mentioned says it's "the longest track in the game", but never specify the actual length. The source is Google translated from traditional Chinese though, so some details might be lost in translation.

The actual quote says:

As the track side, Yamauchi said that this is a new track will be the longest track the current game, The site also allows players to whom boiling endless!

So yeah, it's not the best translation. But I'd imagine a number like 27 would come through fairly undistorted.
