The "new" vettel challenge

the new update has made all the vettel challenges bronze times roughly 10 seconds slower and while I am now happy to have my own earned X1 it has hardly no challenge at all getting bronze. Gold and silver haven't changed massively But you now only need about 2 average laps to win an X1. So basically I'm not saying that it is an easy challenge to win(gold), just that it is now a lot easier to pass (bronze). Anyone else got an opinion on this?
 
It's only the same as the license tests to be honest. They all have easily reachable bronze times then silver and gold are further away.

Don't see a problem myself, it's still a challenge getting Bronze since it's hard to even keep the car on the track for two straight laps with a controller.
 
I wouldn't say it's easy at all, using a DS3, I've tried it dozens of times so far and would get bronze but haven't managed to complete 2 laps yet. OK I could if I drove round in 1st gear but what's the point?

I'm not the best but am OK at the game, have done every other challenge and license with no problems.

I don't mind it being difficult, just wish the game did not disqualify you just for going off the track. It could just turn the time red and not allow it like in other parts of the game, but still allow you to finish the laps.

I agree with this pretty much, but now I feel definite obligation to get silver, since I was pretty close on 2 of the 3. Maybe I'll automatically get silver when I log in later!? How much did silver move? haha
 
Well I got my X2010 prototype before the update, so I feel good to know I beat the hardest test in the game. So with this new update it gives me a reason to fire up GT again because it has been collecting dust!

I would like them to make gold a bit easier, it's more fair to us DS3 players.
BTW, thanks to the new update, I finally won bronze on Nurburgring and Suzuka:D

Bronze should be piss easy, so that as long as your hands are on the controller, and you're paying attention you'll get bronze. Gold should obviously take work.

The license tests were great for me, I got bronze on almost all of them in 1-2 tries, silver took a few more runs and I've gotten gold on a few that I really worked at.

Blocking out a portion of the game to a large chunk of the audience is poor design.
 
They've obviously just made bronze easier so control pad users can get it more easily. Nothing has really changed for wheel users, the challenge is still there for silver and gold.

its quite annoying, slaved away last night and bronzed them all

MONZA Old bronze time 2:10:000 NEW time 2:19:000
NB GP/F Old bronze time 2:14:500 NEW time 2:23:000

If you use a DS3 (like me), put every aids on and put the ABS to 10. I managed to do 2 laps (About 20 seconds too slow) in the 1st race and with no aids, I was getting DQ'ed after 20 seconds.

I finished Suzuka with a gold this morning thanks to the added steering sensitivity option (and putting in many hours before hand). Now that I have all gold, I will literally never so much as go in the special events section in fear that I might catch a glimpse of that horrendously maddening challenge.

But you only almost see wheel users complaining though, and I really don't understand why...

yeah but ...may people put in many long hard hours to get that bronze....and now they do this!!!! :grumpy:
oh well ...at least i can drive that monster better having put in all those hrs...

I wasnt complaining. I was merely observing the target change In the vettel challenge. I just wanted to know what other people felt about this change:)
 
Have the times for silver changed? I may tackle those times if that's the case.
 
Only bronze times are changed. Silver and gold are untouched.

he reaches 2.36 min or near like that... well its near bronze

to get bronze after update is like to join with a minolta in sundaycup

if they reduce 2-3 sec its ok but not 10 sec its not anymore the vettel "challenge" its now the vettel "give away"

Everybody now has a X2010, because of trading (and duping).
My first X2010 was from a trade where the guy wanted a premium Nissan Skyline:drool:

I only had Suzuka and nurburgring to do and I did Suzuka in 3 attempts and nurburgring first try, just because I knew it was not an insanely hard time so I took my time. Still got them both easily.
 
I was actually looking forward to the battle, knowing that I really just don't have what it takes (or the time or desire) to hit silver... :(
 
To get all Gold, I spent 11 hours.
Most of that time was trying to shave 0.1-0.3 seconds off the total time.
