I'm currently just building the cars (this is bigger than I thought it would be), and I must ask: What is wrong with the transmission on the Primera? The settings given for it are impossible, and there is no Auto listed. Sorry if I don't know whose it is, but I'm trying to avoid remembering whose car is whose to avoid any sort of bias.

It's my Primera EA11R. Do tranny trick to 5.500, take any auto set between 3 and 7 and you can dial the gear ratios right then. I have to get Kent to correct that for me for the other two cars. :)

*added bit* Tree'd ya RJ!! :P

The Primera needs to use a modified transmission trick.

Final to 5.500 and the ratios were available for me at autoset 3 whilst the owner claims autoset 7 to be correct.

EDIT: Tree'd by the owner

EX2: And yes, there's Hondas. Lots and lots of Hondas.

Hondas are nice FWD, and the NSX is nice as well, but otherwise? Bah, they got nothin'.

Yeah maybe with your driving of my car Miss Daisy it would sound right!! :P Besides, it looks like you'll need the extra 100hp this time to actually get somewhere!! :mischievous: Now back to the kennel with your slowass Accord, according to the judges that's 3 from 3 with my Primera taking the split times against you!!

P.S. I'm dying to see which one of our FWD cars Kent dislikes the most Roj. :sly:

Bahahaha! Extra 100bhp? What, would you rather it to have been an extra 210bhp? You'd have a geniune excuse as to why you were 100mph slower. :sly:

Kent will dislike my Accord more, because it farts.

I'm in the slow process of uploading videos to YouTube and for download.. I decideded to do one for everyone in the end.

Obviously if you watch the downloaded version it has very little compression and should be much clearer than on YouTube. The links will be appearing underneath the write up for your respective cars.

With 0.0km on the clock that NSX-R has a fair bit more power than what you stated, 356 my foot, try nearly 380!! :odd: Mine is a 60000km example with 268hp, I don't need to hide my figures. Give me a 10.0km example of this S14 and I'll be a lot quicker allround. :mischievous:

Woah woah WOAH. 60000km? Its a brand new NSX-R! Not the old flip up model! :ill:

My NSX-R actually makes 354bhp now, I drive it too much.

But yeah, it makes 356bhp if you dont oil change it new, which you shouldnt do for my car anyway.

Pyrelli: Weee, videos, nice. :D:tup:

Well, I've watched Leo's and roj's. The difference of performance is clear in those two vids. I can't wait to see how you drove mine pyrelli because your lines are phenomenal through the track. :) But racing on track in mph confuses the f out of me.

MY SILVIA's THE 60000km MODEL, not your bloody poptart!!

*apologies for double post all*

OH. Oops. :dunce:

Still, 380bhp?! :scared:

Edit: Woah, just watched the Accord video... yeah Pyrelli has some insane skill. Drives my own car better than me!

I LOL'ed when I seen Pyrelli and I had the same tuners in the top 5, and the same tuners in the top 3. And somebody called me biased?? Then I also noticed when Kent said how we almost should rate our own cars first, we tune them to suit our driving styles and preferences normally after all.

Yes, Pyrelli is fast  And he always provides such detail in any review he does, garage or Tuner Challenge related, well done Pyrelli 👍

*laughs*, what a coincidence I didn't notice that before but I guess matching opinions is probably a good thing.. and cheers for the comment 👍

i always do that.., i try to achieve near 100 km/h on that left-hander before the start line.., but still, my times end up at 40.xxx..,

Hmm.. there's probably a license test at Citti somewhere, gold that and you'll comfortably run in the 39s.

Thats what I expected to hear about my car. Im glad you enjoyed it Pyrelli. I care more about it being a great and memorable drive than it being the winner.

It's always good to know when something you do meets your expectations, it's more than likely I'll use your setup again 👍

Pyrelli

Hey Pyrelli, I just watched my video run done by you and I have to ask, you use a DFP/G25 don't you?? If you aren't then I'm just amazed at your control of wheelspin in 1st. :sly: For that hairpin I used 2nd so I'm actually impressed you kept it accelerating well like that, I was expecting you to fry those S3's. :D

If you can't tell already I use the dualshock. ;)

Ah I wish I had a steering wheel but nope good old DS2 for me :dopey:

The control came about mainly as a result of the rally license tests. It's very hard to gold without some modulation, and then all you guys started making tunes on s grade tyres

Pyrelli

Edit: Woo, finally all the videos have been uploaded (apart from wrcsti's video on youtube, it doesn't like it very much at the moment).

Wow, that was an interesting lap. Is it actually quicker to hug the inside of the sweeper before the hairpin and enter the hairpin from the inside line? I might have to try that. If it is quicker like that I think I can improve on your time even. I was going down the inside, drifting towards the outside of the track and attacking the hairpin from a reasonably wide angle.

PS- My Accord was black, you messed it all up :grumpy: (J/K  )

where can i watch the videos?? are the links HERE???

@ EA11R - gold it, you say.., hmm, i'm not that good of a driver, but thanks anyway.., :)

Check Pyrelli's youtube page. I think the link is in his sig.

whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute.., i'm very confused with his lap time.., when i saw his replay, i calculated his speed just now by converting it to km/h.., when i saw the computations, he was doing 3-7 km/h slower than me!! and yet, i get a slower lap time than him.., how the heck is this happening?!?! i'm very confused right now..,:confused:

Perhaps he's taking better lines? Have you also compared braking points and such?

maybe.., i DID notice that he is taking "cleaner" lines than me, his lines and driving have lesser movement than mine..,

Is it easier to drive with a steering wheel setup? Im planning to build a cockpit, still drawing concepts right now.

N4HS: My version of your Accord was black as well, but I went for the 3D double-stack wing... In white.

Will be watching the videos now.

Let me ask you guys something...
How would you change your entries if the categories were not fwd, awd, rwd... What if they were something like 200, 400, unlimited (in refference to hp, and very relaxed about exact numbers)?
All classes running together with more similar touge rules... Such as two cars running similar times being decided on a variety of totally subjective rules. Examples like the recent Spoon FD2 .v J's S2K show that a loss at the line isn't always a loss at the podium and obvious disadvantages like FWD can play an important roll in grading compared to cars of same class.

Touge 300 showdown goes through 3 sudden death matches!!! (or was it four?) :boggled:
