Tuning a Yellowbird on SS at 525 PP with no ABS is going to be tough. I may just have to test drive that to see if I'm up to the challenge:nervous::crazy::scared:. I think you get more weight transfer or at least GT5's version of it without ABS. You'll have to brake only in a straightline in the 'Bird and even then you'll feel the back end move around I'm guessing, especially in the first corner and into the chicane. Maybe I should take a crack at the BTR just for laughs. :sly:

ADJUSTLEMT to THE RULES
525PPMax / Wing Allowed / Sports Soft Tires
I was tuning it with sport medium but still having some accel oversteer . With sport soft the car is very good already, tune is OK.
My final tune will be at 469HP / 1070 KG /528PP. I'll use power limiter to have it down to 525PP for the shootout.
It'll not be the faster of the cars even of the RUF for sure. But the driving pleasure will be there for all i hope.

Thank goodness for the update that fixed her (or fixed the physics that in the end fixed the YB lol) She one of those cars that will surprise people I think Since the fix mine has been an awesome drive.

You know, ever since I started playing GT5, I've never trusted the autosave. Now the one time I do and my car went from 200 miles (broken in after a B-spec endurance race) back down to 0. :mad:

At least I managed to get a few laps in before realising my power was increasing. Did 2:08. This no ABS stuff is pretty difficult. 👍
 
Are you using a NSX like I've predicted? Or is it something not japanese? :p

And I reckon the RS4 might be even better with no ABS, cures the mule side of the handling that Audis are so well known for until stuff like the R8 came along.

Just to let you know that when a car is on share, the only tune accessible to borrower is the tune currently selected, when the borrower choose the other tuning sheet, it will have the same content as the default sheet on share.

I had JP borrowed my 6 shifter karts with 3 different set of tires on each tune sheet ( A, B and C ) and yet when he borrowed it, he can only access sheet A, while sheet B an C had the same tire as A. The same thing happens with permanent borrow I think, only the currently selected sheet carried over, the other 2 are not.

Just be cautious when sharing a tune, I once shared a car with another tuning sheet selected ( sheet B ), the borrower could not access sheet A ( the tune I was supposed to share )- it only showed tune B on all sheets when he borrowed. Not sure if this always happen, but it's pretty annoying bug in GT5.

I toned down a favorite car of mine to 525pp unfortunately being from the used dealer I only have one and cant start it from fresh so I will move on to another.

Its was great at 525pp however even with the wing still off I have to add much weight and power limit to hit 525pp, lap times are off the pace with 2:11.XXX but I think a new set up using a wing might edge out a few more seconds off the clock If Im lucky another one will show up soon in the UCD.

I hope I can make it before the deadline, my PS3 still waiting to be fixed :( Thinking of entering one Japanese car and one European car. I have a few Euro cars tuned around 500+PP that I used for no ABS practice at Daytona Road Course on CM tire, Cizeta V16T, Lambo Countach '88, Ferrari F40 and F430. Considering Lexus ISF, R33 Hosaka or 3000GT MR for Japanese.

Nice, tossed a few parts to get where I like her, and Only on the power limiter 1.8% now. I adjusted the tune a bit, but still kept the wing off, nailed a few 2:10's back to back then nudged out a sweet 2:09.410

Well I've cracked 2:07 with the NSX now. I'm nowhere near consistent enough to do it again though. I always cock it up either on the first hairpin or the series of corners after so the fact that I managed to string a proper lap together is a miracle. :lol: At least I've pretty much nailed the setup. The rest depends on the driver. 👍
 
I gotta say 2:07 in the NSX is quite impressive, especially with all aids turned off. I haven't got faster than a 2:09 with the cars I'm testing out, 2 seconds is a big trunk to chop at lol..

About the same speed as the BTR then...cool. Looking forward to driving it...hopefully sheet B works for sharing.

Anyone struggling with no ABS, try your understeering 4wd cars. You'll probably find they turn just fine without ABS:sly:

I hope you'll like it. I have a RX7 premium at 2:06.700 too, but i think i'll enter only one .... No time to test more cars. I'll see.
 
Tuners, Lets get some videos of those Blazing laps and some Ghost up to get some spectator action and let the other driver see how your driving your creations. 👍👍👍

So far Sick Fast Laps and some unexpected cars show up. YB in the house getting pushed ABS free, AWESOME it can be done :)
 
I have a second entry. If we can put 2 cars .... this will be my fast car.
Let's see if it's not too much job for the testers.
