Tuners, Lets get some videos of those Blazing laps and some Ghost up to get some spectator action and let the other driver see how your driving your creations. 👍👍👍

So far Sick Fast Laps and some unexpected cars show up. YB in the house getting pushed ABS free, AWESOME it can be done :)

The only thing blazing about my laps were my brake rotors but okay. Good thing I save my best lap ghosts.

Well…my RS4 was two seconds behind, so don't worry, if you're slow, I'm as quick as wind erosion.

My money is on you drifted that NSX through the first corner like a mad man keeping his foot planted while all occupants of the car scream "STOP!"

Lmao can't wait to check it out :)

I just did 2 very very messy laps to see what the handling was like and to adjust the BB to acceptable levels, but the times weren't fast. Not with me ploughing straight into the kitty litter on several of the hairpins.

Took my untuned, bolt-on Evo9 out for some practice and managed a 2:12 at just about 510PP, which seems in the ballpark. I'm getting real good with T2 but turn 1 and the chicane are killing my times. :( Got my BB down to 1/0. It seems stable right up until I get to the end of the braking zone. Need to practice getting off the pedal smoother I think.

At least I can make it around at all.

Try 3/0 or 4/0. 1/0 without abs is like a weaker version of 5/4 but without ABS its very rear biased. As in real life, most braking comes from the front end.

Boy, I've been wishing some of you guys would tune for no assists. Ridox, amar and others turned me on to ABS OFF many months ago. I was skeptical at first, thinking all ABS ON did was eliminate brake lock up. After many hours spent driving without ABS, I can attest it has more effects than that. ABS ON seems to add a certain level of deceleration stability that makes GT5 braking well...predictable and generic. Too much to go into here, but it brought GT5 back to life for me.

Hoping you tuners can adjust and start going assists free. More drivers would give it a shot if cars were tuned with that in mind.

I drive mostly 100% stock vehicles on default or lesser compounds w/o ABS. Some quick B/B settings I start with are. Comfort Tires FF/MR/AWD 2/1 FR 2/0. Sports Tires 3/1 FF/MR/AWD 3/0 FR. Race Tires 4/1, 5/1, 5/0. But yeah 1/0 won't give you much braking power!

Video of my 2:07.495 for anyone interested. Rate my driving perhaps? Tell me where I can shave more time? 👍

Give it an hour for 1080p to process. GLORIOUS 1080p MASTER RACE.

The main thing I hate about recording GT5 lap replays is that when the loading screen disappears you're already halfway round the track. And also it doesn't display your time anywhere either. Bit silly really.

I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I was afraid of putting it up too high and just creating a smokescreen around the track. I'm still not sure yet that it is terribly different, other than I'm not used to it yet. Once I am I'm not sure my driving will be much different but we will see.

Nice looking lap, Roj. Not too much I can pick at with the angles. T2 looked just like mine. :)

I didn't know which view to use when recording my lap, so I went with the better looking one. Probably hides some of my crappy driving.

 Well if it helps, when I review WRS laps I always use chase can to make sure everything is legal and such.

Maybe the videos should be like this, cockpit view for the whole lap.

My old practice run with older physics version of GT5, 2.08/2.09 - I'm not sure, Lancia Stratos, stock 410PP/185HP on comfort hard, very high BB 10/8, grip real, tire wear on.

Lancia Stratos '73 at Nurburgring GP/F, 2:47.090

With cockpit view, we can see more clearly how the driver applied the brake, throttle and steering in relation to the car position on the track from taking lines, braking, entering the apex and exiting the corner :D Plus, it will be a great tool to learn no ABS too.

Notice how much brake were used from the red brake bar, with high BB, not more than half is needed in almost all braking situation. With low BB, 1/0 ( too weak ). 2/0, to 5/1, brake force ( red bar ) should be around 40% to 80% filled, depend on the speed of the car when the brake's applied.

Another video with different car/track with hood cam then external cam on the next repeat.

500+HP Twin Turbo Amuse 380RS Superleggera, no ABS 9/6 BB, comfort soft, 2:22s at Suzuka.

A combo of all three would be cool I think, cockpit then hood then external cam :) just my suggestion.

Threw this together for Praiano's Yellowbird. Do ya feel lucky? Well do ya, punk!!??

I did another video with different views. Just skip every 2 minutes to find the one you want to watch. :p

Fun fact: It took me 2 hours to upload this 8 minute video. :dopey:

Very good time , nice drive, congrats Johnny.

What is the decision about the second car ?? 2 cars / tuner is OK??

If yes, somebody will have to host my lambo miura .... I've forgot to share it online before my travel. Now i have the PS3 with me but no internet where i stay after the job....:ouch:

I forgot to mention, I switched the BB to 3/0. I brake a lot with the car off balance and I think you had it set at 1/0 which is fine if you only brake in a straight line but every time I touched the brakes with the car off balance, even slightly, the back end seemed to step out on me. :sly:

I'm not an expert but I can watch your "first person" replay and if I have any tips for you I can post them here if you like. From the original replay it looked pretty smooth though:tup:👍

Found two spots you might be able to improve. In the Schumacher esses you didn't quite use all of the track. Looks like the curbing tossed the rear around a bit coming out on this run but if it's under control you can shoot all the way over to the opposite curb. Probably not a whole lot of time there but potentially more in turns 3 and 4.

Since there is a fairly long straight after turn 4 that is the more important corner to get right. Stick as far left as you can in turn 3 even if you have to slow down a bit more. That will let you stretch the track for turn 4 giving you more speed through the apex there and all the way to turn 5.

Can't give much guidance on turn 1 since I'm not good there. :p But other than that it looks nice. Hopefully that will benefit everyone. 👍

Yeah that's really helpful info. Might be able to do 2:06 now. Cheers! :D:tup:

I'd ask for feedback on my driving as well, but since I haz no recording equipment, it's quite hard.

2:09 isn't that bad for a normal car, right? By normal, I mean "not the OP'd NSX/Evora/M3 type" cars. :p

Sorry been out for a couple days.

All rules are stated in OP, 2 cars per tuner, and deadline are detailed there.

I'm down with first person cams for the Replay Lap, its got the best view and as stated people will get a better idea of how much brake pressure is applied and when.

I will update the Tuner/Driver post as soon as I get home tonight

I'm stocked there is good interest in this and interest in Assist Free Tuning

Remember Folks, ALL assist off, not just ABS, no ASM, SFR, TCS, Active Steer, or any of that, and Track Side Grip set to Real. The OP has a Pic of exactly how all your Driving Options need to be before getting on the Track, this is for Tuners and Drivers alike.

one of my cars are already posted AUDI RS 6 ' 02 and a small but very efficient on mamut. I am choosing another until the day I put:tup:

Now for those that follow the FITT thread know how I feel about the whole no ABS thing. But then you'd also know that I don't mind tuning a classic car, or racer, with it off. Soooo I may be entering a car in this (I like my classics, and I can't stay away from a challange :dopey: )

It will NOT win (due to the PD hatred for light weight low HP cars :yuck: ), but it is a tune I've been having fun with for some time now. I'll have it up, and shared by the deadline. Thanks :dopey:

If you send me your replay file, I'll record it for you. No I'm not being nice, I'm looking for excuses to show off my capture device. :p
I'll have to ask to somebody to build and share my Lambo Miura please i can't go online with my PS3 till day 19 ,thanks.

><(((((°>°°°°°°

I'll do it. 👍
