ND on NBs.

How about an NC on FD wheels?

I like this combo so much it actually makes me want to get an NC just to put FD wheels on it. Funny as I think they look pretty bland on the FD.

@TexRex got yer sidewalls over here

At my old Mazda dealer, we did a Soul Red 2 hatch on the ND wheels. made it available as a dealer installed option.

Another thing about the sidewalls, if it doesn't have white walls, red lines, yellow moons, orange stars and green cl...ahem.. or raised white letters, makes it a balloon tire with no soul.

Don't like R33 wheels on anything. However, I like R32 wheels on everything.

edit: @SVX

The Rays FD wheels (from the Type RS I believe? ) are kind of similar to the R32 wheels, and also look great on the NC:

Damn the NC has a great shape. Blows my mind how awful Mazda set them up (suspension height and wheel design) from the factory. The grand touring 'wagon wheels' are the absolute worst.

I think the problem for me is that on anything but an actual R33, they just look like some cheap 1990s TSW wheel or something. The flat silver paint, the uncomfortable curve to the spokes, the fairly generic design. The baffling thing is they're probably more expensive to get hold of than wheels that would suit all those other cars much better...

What kind of wear pattern do you get?
Completely even. Logic says that the centre section should wear more but apparently a modern radial tyre is stiff enough to resist the ballooning.

And to contribute to the thread, as a Volvo driver, a couple of common mods - FWD wheels, from 850 T-5R and 850R respectively, on RWD cars. Not a direct fit thanks to different offsets but spacers do the trick.

Was going through my photos and I remembered this thread.

Pontiac Bonneville SSEI wheels. I hated chrome.

It was so nice of GM to use the same bolt pattern and roughly the same offset on every FWD car (and a couple RWD ones) bigger than the Cavalier, for like 25 years.

These ones are Version 10 STi wheels.
