This is the most reliable date yet, seeing as it's from Sony not some media group. That doesn't make it a fixed date though.

Well Id belive a Sony website over Amazon.com.. IMO but it still doesnt mean it official, because if it was it would be announced and places reliable like IGN would have this info if you ask me...

Hmmm... Seems too soon for some reason. But I guess it would be a good thing if it came out in April. My hopes arn't up that's for sure.

I only hope that the reason SCEE has a date before others isn't because we are getting it sooner... Which may mean we are getting an online free version. But I doubt that.

It's being released in Japan, sometime in summer. According to a recent interview, PD is having enough trouble with network coding because of PS2's hardware limitation. (We all know how poor it is, these days... )

The website most likely hasn't been updated..therefore old release date.

If Europe is lucky, we'll get it around the similar time with Japan, and US. If we're as usual, we'll get it sometime in autumn/winter IF NOT NEXT YEAR. LOL.

But I believe PD is aiming for world-wide simultaneous release.

April is stated on official bussines site of SCEE (teh link comes from there), and GT4 is an new entry on the list.

Unfortunatelly, on the full release list of SCEE, GT4 is still mentioned as Q2 (second quarter) of 2004. release, so there is a discrepancy. Intresting is that GT4 still have no official publisher mentioned: sweet sentence is saying "to be confirmed".

More unfortunatelly, on the press-given official release list of SCEE (12. february, AKA yesterday), only one game is listed for April release: Rise of Honor, together with release of stand-alone EyeToy camera. GT4 is not mentioned there, and it's not mentioned either in Q2 (SCEE games that will be released in that period are Sing Star and Syphon Filter: Omega Strain). Notice that list I'm talking about is the list for European releases-only.

There is a possibility that info about April release have com elater yesterday, but we'll se that in next few days.

My oppinion is that GT4 will be released after the E3 fair in May, but that's just IMHO.

When they started saying that GT4 would be released before christmas (it was expected for summer 2004 from the start), I also checked SCEE (must have been in august I think) and it said october, so I don't believe this date either.

Like I said until its been announced to the public, and to many gaming sites such as IGN i really dont belive any release date, because it big time game sites dont have the date up or atleast make an announcment I just dont belive it, but for people saying I saw in an interview or a website or whatever, please supply links to these pages so we could take a look for our selves.. thank you..

Think I saw that date on there some time ago, didn't take much notice of it though since I didn't believe it even if it is on an official site. Likelyhood is it will be announced in Japan first as people have said, so its probably just SCEE's speculation/hope.

Well i'm not going to believe this totally, but at least it's from Sony....so i'm guessing it will be out between April and July. Big span, but if they give us more info, screens and movies, it will keep me busy watching them for awhile until it's actually released.

Have anyone wondered why Amazon.co.uk has set the date of the release as 13th Aug? They have nothing to gain and everything to loose if they set a date later then its actually going to be released. They must know something since they have put up that date. I think that 13th Aug is the earliest releasedate you can hope for, and even that might be to soon.

I would imagine that if it were really coming out in April it would already be in every gaming magazine known to man. I think we would definitely know about it by now if it were that close to being released.

Yeah it probably would be. I'm guessing of more of a June or July release. If that's the case, we could probably see this game in Mags by April or very early May.

True, either that or they want to show it off at E3 right before the release date maybe so people could see what were getting and that everyone could test it out, I dunno just a guess, but when it comes out it comes out, right now im in no rush as I have a million things to do and no time to really play at this point, so its all good to me...

Gamemania is the best gameshop in Belgium (they only do games) and today they added GT4 to their "coming soon" list (finally) and the date is 30/6. I guess that will be the release date for the complete PAL region.
