Its a short boost. After a while it fades out and your car over heats. Its short..least it is for me. And who cares? IDAFC21 put Denso stickers on his Denso Supra..and guess what? Denso isnt in TXR3. Whoa, its just the thing the guy painted on his car. And it looks good, too. 👍

yeah, thats what i was getting at w/ the short boost thing. remember i didnt say it WAS nitrous, just similar to it. leave your increased boost on, and your car soon overheats (even w/ level 5 cooling) and you lose speed...short burst. leave nitrous on for too long, and you either a. lose bottle pressure or b. blow your engine up..haha. ANYWAYS....its just all in good fun. the paint editors there so you can do whatever the hell you wanna do to your car. be it good or evil. Hell if i wanted to put a Type R sticker on my GTR (blasphemy i know :) ) i could do that

those are baaaaaad

i try again!!:trouble:

There still is Nitrous though, not directly on the car, and not accessible with cars with Turbo. The alternate boost acts more like Nitrous would. Actual Short boost, and heats up the engine damn quick.

Please don't tell me that you're that stupid. Not all NOS is alike.

The NOS you use in your vehicle is nothing like the stuff they give you for Dental work. They have similarities in their genetic makeup, but they are by no means the same. The NOS in your car won't knock you up, like you think it will.
NOS this. NOS that.
How to decern ricers from racers.

The only reason the majority says "NOS" instead of "nitrous" is because the majority learned everything they know about cars from the movie "Fast & the Furious". NOS being the magic ingredient that makes their ricemobiles go super fast for a short amount of time so all nitrous oxide systems must have NOS in them.

God...

well i just sold my viper. I had to buy the spec c impreza so i could friggin beat those 3 knights and conquer nagoya. not even my supra could stand up to them. even w/ a level 5 cooling upgrade, my supra heats up REAL fast, i dont know why. Oh well, ive been wanting the spec c, and the viper wasnt all that great anyways...even w/ an engine swap it was still slow..and it cost so friggin much to mod that thing..still looked sweet tho. thats ok, my impreza will look better after im thru w/ it :)

The way you guys are using the word NOS makes it sound like it is some sort of chemical. NOS is a company.

Read what these guys are saying.

"Nitrous oxide system is laughing gas."

"The nitrous oxide system in your vehicle is nothing like the stuff they give you for Dental work."

Seriously, that is not what these kids mean.

If you wanna use the term nitrous oxide in abreviated form, say NO2 instead of making yourselves sound like fools.

I'm sorry, but you don't know you're chemicals very well, Street Fighter.

First of all, Nitrous Oxide is N 2 0, not N02. Link
Link2Link3

Second of all, the different structures of the compound are what make them different, not the name. They may share a similar title, but the structure differences between them is significant enough to make them complete opposites.

The "laughing gas" is of different origin and has a significantly different host/thing it attaches to, then the "NOS" nitrous oxide.

Well I just finished w/ a car ive secretly been working on and I am quite pleased with it. I didnt expect to finish it tonight...but friggin a...once i start..i just cant stop myself....haha. i think i almost love this car more than my Denso. I started off modeling it after a real world car...well..its not REALLY a real world car..but one youd know from a different video game ;) but then i also kinda went my own direction w/ it as well. I think it came out pretty sweet. Im going to bed now, but I will definently post up pics after I get off work tomorrow night. Until then. :)

I always say NOS (and pronounce it naws, not the correct N O S), but that's because when I refer to it, I'm always making fun of it. I do, also jokingly, refer to the turbo boost as NOS occasionally. =P

On the subject of the game, though, I just got it on friday, and I'm really liking it. I beat the first portion of the game yesterday. (I.E. conquered all the n00b teams in Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo [in that order] )

I started out which the Chaser. Apparently, It's the, or one of the, best starting cars, but I had no idea. I just like Chasers.

On the subject of paint, how are you guys managing to crank out such great looking jobs? I just can't get that kind of precision with the analog stick. Is it possible to hook up a USB mouse or something?

stop callin it nos, there's no nos in this game, there is nitrous oxide for the NA cars (not NOS! there's no brand names for the NOS in this game!)
I have yet to use the nitrous feature, i can neva get it to work..............

Yep. :) Thats how alot of people turning out the awesome jobs do it. Get a USB mouse fomr CompUSA, Best Buy, where ever and pop it into the USB slot of your PS2..and there you go! Works just like a computer mouse..I can do an hour long analog job in 2-3 minutes with it. :)

i m kinda neutral in nos i mean i like rice but i also like pure racing and drift battlesbut u gotta admit that nos has great results. Im 13 and a couple days back my cuz took me to a street race that he was gonna compete in he took me to a stretch and we went like 146mph!!!honest to god

..You "like rice"? Rice is a bad thing. :) Where's the strip at, I live near Livonia sometimes..I've probably seen something there..and what does your cousin drive? :odd:

he drives a rx-7 and i dunno i wasnt paying attentionits was like somewhre heading towards ohio also the only reason i like rice is becuase i like the bodykits and im pretty into the night life of a street racer by the way its a silver fd

RX-7. 👍 I like your cousin already. But you dont need to rice a car to make it go fast..Infact, when you dont rice'em out they go faster. And the night life of a street racer has nothing to do with rice. :) Go on a highway and see how much rice comes out burned. ;)

For instance.. That FD is fast. Not an ounce of rice, and it is fitted with a body kit.. :)
