silviadrifter there are two diferent ver.TXR01(japan release) and 3(US release) the japanese verssion use's yev for money.for every one how fast does ur car go...mine goes to 215on my r32

I just got the game started last night. I was very dissappointed at first. I thought the graphics, racing simulation, and overall realism sucked compared to Zero. But now that I have won the first city, I'm a little more pleased.

I saw some of you were custom painting parts of your cars, how do you do that? Is this "paint engine" available in the PS2 version?

Can someone tell me when more of the cars become available. I have beaten Tokyo and im almost done with Nagoya, and the only cars that are available to purchase that even somewhat interest me are the RX-7 rz and the 300ZX twin turbo. Other than that the only cars available are crap. Ive had my 180 SX for the entire time and its got 912 mi on it. and I have 401,000 cp. I really want the Corvette. When can you unlock it?

Yes, it's available in the PS2 version. Come to think of it, TXR 3 is only available on the PS2..

To custom paint your car go to:

1. Tuning Shop
2. Dress up
3. Body Paint

For better control you can use a usb mouse.

The 300ZX would probably be the better choice. Also, I've heard that the Corvettes really aren't all that.

Well I finished the game and now I only want to check out all the cars, try diff engines...so on. Actually the only cheat Im looking for is max odometer gain for gameshark or action replay.US ver.

Monster7, Thanks for the info. I'll try it out tonight.

does your name (Monster7) stand for a Monster RX7?

To everyone: What game do you think is better?

Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero
Tokyo Extreme Racer Three
Need For Speed Underground
Grand Turismo Three

For everyones ease of frustration, here is a wanderer list i found today that someone found from another site, it was translated from japanese so hopefully its not too confusing. im not quite sure of the validity of this list since i havent really tried racing any wanderers yet w/ it, but it looks pretty good. also, they didnt have the wanderers names, but it does have their number so you can identify them that way

#260: Appears during even number days (e.g. Day 2, 4, 6...)
#261: Appears during rainy days (as long as it is not sunny)
#262: Appears on Fridays only
#263: Appears after coming out from Pit Area (sorry I really do not know the
English translation of the Pit Area)
#264: Use Subaru cars
#265: Use Toyota MR-S
#266: Use Toyota MR-S, and appears on Wednesdays after defeating #265 (Note: I
found that you can also battle #266 with cars other than MR-S as well)
#267: Appears when you have achieved a 10-win combo
#268: Appears when the unit number of days is 3 or is a multiple of 3 (e.g. Day
3, 13, 23, 133...)
#269: Appears when the number of days is a multiple of 5
#270: When you have come out from ALL Pit Areas in Shutokou (including all the
upper and lower sections; you do not need to complete in a single day, but you
cannot miss out a single one)
#271: Apply the "Rolling Guy" sticker on any part of the car body
#272: Drive around the Kasumi Gaseki section when the internal clock of your
PS2 is 02:00 AM (it is better for you to set the clock of your PS2 to the Japan
time zone for future use).
(Note: Here is what you can do to reach that section easily: On Shutokou map,
press "Up" on your controller once, and choose the second option to choose the
Outer C1 section and begin the race)
#273: Go to Time Attack mode and race the Outer C1 section within 04'05" (that
is the time set by MCS, and make sure your overall time is less than 04'05")
#274: When you have 2 or more cars in your garage
#275: Use the "Na Ne Wa" (R12-C2) license plate on your car (that should be the
12 row, 2 column city when you choose the city name)
#276: Equip license plates from cities R6-C3, R6-C2, R6-C1, or R6-C4 on your
car, and the trip meter ("TRIP") should be at least "300," which means you
should at least travel 30 km
#277: Use a newly bought car
# 278: Will battle after signaling right (i.e. push right on the right analog
stick if you are using the default controller setup). I found that you might
need to come out from a pit stop, signal right, and flash the high beams before
#278 will come into battle.
#279: Use a non-Japanese car when the internal clock of your PS2 is between
21:00 and 23:00 (i.e. 09:00 PM to 11:00 PM). Also, do not use any non-Japanese
cars that are in the "Custom" or "Special" car selections.
#280: Use cars that have been modified inside the "Dress Up" menu (this can
include any color change or stickers)
#281: Appears every 30 days after battling in Shutokou area
#282: Appears on Tuesdays and Fridays only, with the "TRIP" reading less than
"200" (i.e. below 20 km)
#283: Use cars without the rear spoiler (rear spoiler as "Off")
#284: Use "A.P.S." or "Da Ra Ma Ra Su Ma Mi" stickers on your car (preferrably
the "A.P.S." sticker because I might have translated the other one wrong :P)
#285: The total number of wins is 500 or above
#286: Use custom alloy wheels on VIP-type cars
(Note: VIP-type cars are the following ones: JZS161 [Toyota Aristo V300 Vertex
Edition], E124 [Mercedes Benz 500E], GH230 [Mercedes Benz SL500], HY34 [Nissan
Cedric 300VIP], and HY33 [Nissan Gloria Gran Turismo Ultima])
#287: Use a 1980's car
#288: Drive an American car when your PS2 internal clock is after 00:00 (i.e.
after midnight, as its name suggests)
#289: Use a German car (Porsche/Gemballa, Mercedes Benz)
#290: Use an English or Italian car (preferably Lotus cars)
#291: Appears when all the digits for the number of days are the same (e.g. 11,
22, 33, or 111, 222, 333. It does not matter if you have gone pass the 100th
day as long as all the digits are the same)
#292: Use a car that has the engine changed already (which means your total
mileage for that particular car is over 2000 km)
#293: The total mileage of the car is between 1000 and 2000 km
#294: Use wagon cars (Subaru cars are the best)
#295: Use KPGC110 during rainy days (KPGC110 is the same as the old Nissan GT-R
car)
#296: Turn on the emergency lights (press R3) and drive like crazy by hitting
the walls
#297: Use car with the "Wind Stars" stickers
#298: Appears when you have acquired a special B.A.D. name (One method is to
use a Toyota Trueno, a.k.a. AE86 and use a "Rolling Guy" sticker. This will
change the name to "xxx No.0")
#299: Appears after defeating the "Commander" team
#300: Appears after defeated the normal teams in both Nagoya and Hanshin areas
(by normal I mean the regular teams and not those "xxx ARRIVAL" special teams)
#301: Appears after selling several cars
#302: Use license plate from the city "Yokohama", which is R5-C2 for the
Japanese city
#303: Use cars with 4WD transmission (Nissan GT-R R34 or Subaru GDB will work)
#304: Use a Mazda FD (i.e. newer Mazda RX-7) with the "Infinity" sticker
#305: Use a car with everything set to "Normal" (Including the entire engine,
muffler, sticker, wheels, tires upgrades. Everything HAS to be set to "Normal"
or it will never appear)
#306: After defeating #307
#307: After defeating #308
#308: After defeating #309
#309: The license plate is "11-11" (remember to use the "License Plate Trick"
detailed above)
(Note: #309, #308, #307, #306 appear in this order and they come and battle you
after you have defeated the previous one, so do not use the "BOOST" in the
early stages and remember to use a powerful car)

7. Nagoya Wanderers

There are a total of 14 Wanderers in the Nagoya area. So here you go.

#117: Appears on Tuesdays when you go on the Circular section
(Note: Again, to go to that section easily, on Nagoya map, press "Down" once on
your controller, and choose the only option to race in the Circular section)
#118: Use a car that has "Color Change" during rainy days (you can paint the
whole car or just part of a car like a bonnet, but make sure you do NOT use a
custom or special car because you cannot modify the car or apply stickers to
any custom or special cars)
#119: Use license plates with the Japanese character "Ro" (the one on the left
of "Y" at the bottom of the list, which is R6-C4 for the Japanese character
table), and will appear every 10 days. Using the "Ro" character will make your
license plate glow in fluorescent green.
#120: Go into the Pit Area on the bottom right of Circular section 5 times or
more
#121: Use a 1980's Nissan car (older models of Z/Fairlady will be good choices)
#122: Own two exact same cars (one can be just a base model with no
modifications), and use one of them to battle
#123: Use any car with a mileage below 2000 km
#124: Use the lightest car on Fridays (preferably with Cappuccino using the
Level 5 "Weight Down" and NO "Reinforcement". This will keep the Cappuccino
below 600 kg)
#125: Use a Nissan GT-R car and drive close to the area on the leftmost of the
map
(Note: On Nagoya map, press "Up" on your controller 4 times to reach this area,
but you will just need to press "Up" 3 times to start from there and choose the
only option, or you will be travelling in the opposite direction)
#126: Win 100 rivals in Nagoya area
#127: Use a non-turbo car (those with NA or simply no turbo engines) after
defeating #126
#128: Appears every Monday after reaching a battling speed of 300 km/h or above
(this can be hard if you are in earlier stages of the game, but after a Level 7
"Engine" upgrade, this should not be a problem)
#129: Use a FF (front-engine, front-wheel-drive) transmission car and use
manual transmission (use a Mitsubishi FTO will be the best)
#130: After defeating other areas (i.e. after defeating Shutokou and Hanshin)

8. Hanshin Wanderers

The last area is the Hanshin area. This area has 19 Wanderers and they are
easier to defeat then the other two areas (though I struggled once with one of
the Wanderers). Here is the listing.

#142: Will come in for a 2-on-1 battle with #143 after you have defeated #143
by at least half of the energy bar
#143: Appears on weekends (i.e. Saturdays and Sundays)
#144: Appears after defeating #142 and #143
#145: Appears when the last digit of the number of days is "9"
#146: Stop by the rightmost of the Circular section of the map and honk (press
L3). You have to come to a complete stop before you do so, and honk until #146
come to battle you.
(Note: The rightmost of the Circular section is when you are on Hanshin map,
press "Down" on your controller once, and choose the only option to start in
the Circular section)
#147: Go into the Pit Area on the upper left of the Circular section 5 to 10
times
#148: Upgrade the muffler to Level 3 or above
#149: Hide/"Off" the license plate
#150: Continue to have 1 to 3 battles only for several days around this section
and return to garage
#151: Change to an L-type engine (after you have accumulated over 2000 km for
your car and change to those inline engines)
#152: After winning three battles in a row around this section
#153: Battling in the lower Wangan section for 10 consecutive days, and WIN at
least 1 rival for each day (you HAVE to ride in this section for 10 days in a
row, and you cannot lose a single battle within this 10 days or the rival will
not come no matter how many days you have played)
(IMPORTANT: This one causes the most confusion, so I'll explain a bit more: On
Hanshin map, press "Up" on your controller 3 times, choose the first option to
select "lower Wangan" section. You HAVE to be in that section for 10
consecutive days without going to other sections or maps. You also need to WIN
at least 1 rival for each of the 10 consecutive days. If you lose once, the
internal counter will reset and you have to start over again. Because you will
for sure encounter rainy/snowy/foggy days within these 10 days, a better method
is for you to WIN one race for one day, return to garage, save your game
progress, and go back again. Do it for 10 days in row and on the eleventh day
#153 should appear. In this case you do not have to restart the whole sequence
again in case you lose a battle during rainy/snowy/foggy days because you can
always reload from that particular point.)
#154: After defeating the Shutokou area
#155: Go to "Options" and turn the volumes to the MAX, and will appear after
defeating #148
#156: Buy ALL Nissan Z series (there should be 4 to 5 Z cars under the "Nissan"
section, and this is where the Sub Garage comes in handy because you do not
want to dispose of your previous cars), and use the Nissan Z33 (the new
Z/Fairlady) to battle
#157: Have over 100 million (100,000,000) CP (credits/dollars)
#158: Use the license plate from city "Kuma Hon" (license plate city of R17-C3)
with a not-too-high mileage reading (do not go over the 1000 km for the
mileage)
#159: Appears after defeating rivals #118 and #125
#160: Tune the car to the lowest "Ride Height" (-30 mm) after defeating the
team "Low Position"

enjoy :D Some of these requirements are even more messed up than they were in Zero :odd:

That's a great looking Trueno, and it is the pro drift car, that cleaned up at the most recent D1 event. If anyone can remember the drivers name, let us know. ;)
