Wow, the painting deal is harder than I thought..

Udate: After I re-started my game, and got far enough to buy an FD, I did. Its got somehting like 400ps, nothing extreme. I have the hood and rear spoiler the carbon fiber look (painted on not just the 'natural' option). Hey, I was just wondering, why do people use the L6 T insted of the V8 one?

I'm in Nagoya second time around now, and I just have the 3 Dragons and the wanderers left there. Anyone want to recommend a place to challenge the 3 Dragons? It's really hard doing so even with a boosted 629ps R34. I'll try an engine swap and see if I can beat them then...

I just swapped L6 into my R34 and beat the 3 Dragons on first try. Started from very middle top of Nagoya going East and ended up on the very bottom right. It's a wonder what a few extra PS gets you, and I didn't even have to rely on them making really HUGE mistakes.

the Last one makes too many mistakes. The 2nd Dragon is almost perfect, I had to make the 2nd Dragon crash to win. But then, I had only the Level 9 engine and I was anywhere near the Engine Swap but now, Im loving my Engine swap.

I notice that if you can beat the first Dragon JUST before you finish the very slow right corner on the top right of Nagoya, when the second one comes about, he'll most likely crash into the toll booths. But yeah, the engine swap is awesome now.

hey all.... im new to TXR3 and i was wondering if there were any easy was to beat dejected angel.....i use the boost but she is waaaaay too fast....

Challenge her near the toll booths. As long as you have a good handling car and she crashes, you can win. The hardest part is getting out in front, but after that she's easy to beat.

BTW: That wing is TERRIBLE!!! The car would look awesome without it though.

I just got this game Friday and it's actually a very fun racing game. I figured it would be like NFSU. Anyway right now I have a Mazda RX-7 with 428 hp and it weighs 2731 lbs. I also bought an NSX (Yeah the one that costs 98 g's), I haven't done any engine mods yet but I did do some body tune ups and added parts that weigh less. I got the weight of it down to 2690 lbs.

This game should last me until Christmas or longer.

NSX? Are you sure you're not playing TXR0? :P

:banghead: I am so dissapointed that you cant modify the aero on any of the Corvettes in the game. I like the looks of the west corvette but it would be much better if you could modify your own paint scheme. This game is awesome but some parts about it are just frustrating. Oh well, guess ill just go race the C5-R in GT3. That game is better anyway.

thanx for the advice...i couldnt wait for her to get to the toll booths so i ran her into one of the van things. now i have a 460ps fd and i just finished completing the three areas so far...

I decided to start my game over because I'm bored waiting for Christmas to hurry up and get there. :P Anyway, I started with the Chaser and I've beaten a few rivals in Tokyo. Current mods are:
Exhaust level 1
Stock wheels upped 2 inches
Color changed to black/windows "tinted"

I started over also*. My current car is a low 9 second R-34. :)

*Tip: Don't let people who know nothing about memory cards play with your PS2.
