Oh well, guess ill just go race the C5-R in GT3. That game is better anyway.

Yeah. It does kinda suck, the japanese really hate american cars, but they did throw a third gen firebird in, which i thought was cool, cuz you never see 3rd gens in video games, but why oh why did they give it a 92ps I4??? come on. even still, fully modded w/ a level 9 engine that thing has like 5 or 600ps and can pull a 9.7 in the 400m. its light too, almost as light as my wrx. w/ a V8-T in there it should really fly. And thats another thing...yeah the V8 has more power than the L6, but how does it have like 10 less torque than the L6? I mean i know the L6 is a great engine in real life, but how could it have more torque than a friggin V8? Oh well. all minor things, I still love this game, even tho they couldve fixed a lotta things before they released it...

I think everyone else knows to take out the memory card when someone else plays a game you have a save on.

The guy who erased my game is a 33yr old jet pilot.

I was under the assumption he would know how to work a PS2.

Question: i think a a tad behind in this game as far as speeds. I was just curious to see what other peoples top speeds were. So far I've reached 223 in my FD. is it possible to go any quicker?

PS: If they make a TXr2 I want cops..

I would still get a GT40 over a Mach 1. Plus the GT40 sounds pretty good, its quick. I like it. But the only problem with it is, the prices of the parts. I also put a Mach 1 againest my MR-S Spyder, and the MR-S was 12 seconds quicker. And had 50% less horsepower. Still, the Mach 1 should not be in the game, What where the Japanese thinking when they put the Mach 1 in there!?

What kind of transmission settings do you people have for the R34? I'm just not liking mine. It's an L6 engine swap btw. I know that thing can go faster. Topping off at 201mph on Tokyo Wangan and in Osaka's straights.

EDIT: Do you think my GT3 transmission settings will work for this game?

So I got the codebreaker, JUST FOR THIS GAME I LOVE. I have never felt the urge to get a cheating device, (I hate to cheat, especially in videogames), but anyways, I got it, so I can pass this game, but guess what...

I am not playing this game anymore.

It is just that I dont feel attracted anymore to it :(

Earlier posted that I have a WRX. Done me well up to this point. Now I am up against the bosses in Nagoya. I use my boost sparingly vs. Rook, more vs. (the next one), then I have to fully boost with the final guy, I never make it. I already did the L6 swap and it is a little better. Would I be better to use an R34? I have almost a million in the bank, so money shouldnt be a problem. Any suggestions.

I'm the exact same. I beat the game. Started a new one, and for kicks used my gameshark. Now that I can buy an R34 and every other car right off the start, its not as fun anymore. Nonetheless, I'm still playing it for hours on end.

Might depend on where you're racing. But I did use the R34. It's a car that can finish the game for you IMO, because I have finished all the rivals and bosses. I'm just down to the wanderers and I guess Rival #600. Read my post #733 for what I did. If you just want to keep your WRX, you might want to race them in the very top of Nagoya: Yamada Nishi, E Higashimeihan (that's where they showed up for me, I think it's different for different people*). If you begin the race, and the Rook takes off, let him; after the slight right at high speed (there are barriers on the left side), he'll probably hit a van. Speed up (boost if you want) and take the center line as a path--try not to hit him or the vans on the left. You should be able to beat him by the interchange sharp right turn, hopefully before you begin the long sweep right. The Bishop comes out and if you begin the race right before the toll booths, he'll hit one straight on and you can pass him. Block him because he'll be faster most likely. It might end up at the bottom right of the map, Kanjou route, try not to hit the wall too hard and let him hit it. That should beat Bishop. I think the Knight is the fastest (not the best) especially if your cooling sucks. Don't boost too much, just enough to get ahead. All I can say now is block.

*Is it just me or do the places where new teams have their "arrival" depend on the route where you beat the last team of rivals in the circuit? I mean, when I beat all of the teams on the Wangan in Tokyo on the Out route, the last rivals were on the Wangan Out. Same for the Yokohane and Yokohama routes. If this is true, and if you haven't finished yet, you might want to think about where you're better at in driving, or at least if you like C1, beat the last of the rivals in Yokohane going towards C1 or something. It would have been nice to know that before I raced them...

welp. finally finished my blitz skyline tonight. havent touched the game in a day or so cuz ive been sick, but im feelin pretty good now so i decided to finish it. As soon as i hook the PS2 up to the computer to take screen shots i'll post em up

Arighty, Blitz skyline pics, comin at ya. First of all, just so i dont clog this post up w/ pics (trying to be 56k considerate here, hehe) Go here to reference what the real Blitz skyline looks like.

Ok, second order of business, this was my skyline before, in a bad need of a makeover. hehe

It came out alright, but I still love my Denso better. The rear portion of the car was a PITA to do, because it was actually 4 friggin separate parts. The top of the trunk lid, the spoiler, the top half of the trunk (the taillights and the part in between it) and then the bumper. so I had to do each of those parts separately and try and blend everything together so it all looked like one. Plus w/ the curves of the bumper they kinda distort the lines. So i did the best I could. What do you think?

Awesome paint job man. How long did this one take? And yeah, I think the Denso is still one of the best paint jobs you had.
