Took some pictures of my C 63 AMG tonight:

Edit: #1 Looks great, very clean.
#2 Looks good but IMO I think it would look better in a different light setting and better focused.
#3 Love the sunset and the way it has a soft focus great job on that one.

I'm also pretty new to the photomode. Any advice is welcome. Excuse the quality on some I can't find my usb stick so I had to retrieve some from my gran-turismo.com page.

All unedited. Well aside from what's in photomode.:dunce:

@SafaditM3: The NSX shot is great w/ a trail of smoke covering the road | Shot could be lighter | 8/10

The Honda EK9 looks great, to me looks like a drag car | Would look coll to give the shot some angle | 9/10 (Greal looking car)

My first time posting here and this is my first edit outside of GT5's effects | Please tell me if the shot looks realistic, if there is to much "glow", and if the shot is at a good angle. Thanks 👍

That car looks amazing! You should put it up in the realistic thread. By the way when you click it says the photo is private.

Heres some of my images, i know they aren't perfect, only started using photomode this week. What are your thoughts? The last is one of my least favourite, any tips on how to improve shots like this?

#2 Looks great the black and white with the sunset is really working for this one.
#3 Looks great I love the way you took it there's tons of movement in the picture.
As for number 1 the angle could've been much better.
And number 4 the picture could of used better lighting but it's great nonetheless.

why am i always the one who gets ignored :nervous:

The black Lambo looks badass  Gives the image a moody feel | May have looked a little bit better if you showed more of the car | 9.5/10

The Focus shots look great with the F number increased I'm assuming. Makes it seem like a fun race showing all the cars in a tight pack :D | 9/10

The MX-5 shot seems intense sliding down the hills of Eiger seeking the road ahead while covering the rest with smoke :sly: | Shot looks great and clear | 10/10

I chose to just rate one, because I'm lazy...
I'd say it's a very good scenery shot. The contrast between the clear blue sky and the green hills makes it pleasing on the eyes. It could do with some cars racing in the background though. ;) I give it a 7.5/10.

I pass the ball over to you guys.

Looks clean and realistic, nice mix of cars too. 7.5/10

I was trying to display the beauty of this car:

I'm new to photography/photomode - here's my two cents...

Positives - Detail on the car and lighting is great - gets across your part of you intent (beauty of the car's design). however....

Background is boring (not as nice as some of the other F40 pics you have). Also - similar to some of your other pics in this thread there is no sense of speed. Especially for a racetrack setting with a car like this having it look like's parked is a bit of a waste. If you're looking to show a parked car, Phototravel would give you far better setting / options.

Try the other panning modes and decrease the shutter speed -- for the F40 a big part of the beauty is its performance...get a shot showing it in action.

Here's my pic...less concerned about a rating. Looking for tips to improve

I would give that a 9.5/10. It looks incredibly real, nice angle and the details are good. But did you add some film grain to it? If so, I think it's just a bit too much. Almost ruins the detail just a bit, but still really nice 👍

I wish I was that good when I was new ;)

It's a nice shot and there isn't really anything wrong with it. I'm not sure if it's just my screen or not, but it almost looks a bit overexposed. I think it would look great with some more after effects, depending on what you have. Just have fun w/ it and see what you can get :) 9/10

Now for mine... I had something very specific in mind when I shot this but I think I lack the software and the skills to make it exactly what I wanted. Plus I had like 30 seconds to position everything & wait for the right pose before it got too dark.

I'll let someone else rate and post...but with the 2.0 update you can set time progression so that if you can set a time and have it progress very slowly.

You sure you're not just talking about the track settings for a practice race? If so, this was taken at the Red Bull Hangar in Photo Travel, not on a racetrack. I wasn't aware of any time progression control in Photo Travel.

Nice idea and the pose looks just fine. I see no clear area for improvement, but may I suggest using a lower angle closer to the car and ground to let the sky be more prominently featured?

7.5/10.

Good and well-lit, but needs another angle IMO.

Yeah...I thought this was at side of a race track and you had photoshopped the avatar in.

Damn! That's awesome!

I love the sense of speed and also the realism. The only gripe I have with it is the tilt of the camera. I think it's just a little too much. Perhaps 20 degrees less would be better. 9/10

Ok, hit me!

I love the soft look the sky has. It has a great calming effect.
However, the picture seems a tad dull, and the BMW seems a bit under-exposed. 8/10 :)

The sunset adds emotion to the picture, however the lighting on the GT40 seems a bit off. Also the shadow of the Ford GT is a bit odd. :/ Overall, I'd say a great idea and setting for a picture with the old and new. :) I'd say a 7.5/10.

Anyone want to critique this? >_>

Nice shot I like the movement but it looks a bit dull in color.

How about any thoughts on this as an action shot?

This is all from a personal point of view, so don't take it as a universal truth:
1. I think the composition is a bit off. The car doesn't have to be in the center, but I want some marigin to the edges. After all, the car is the star in the shot, right?

2. It's nice to see the entire corner, but is it really necessary to show it all? In landscape photography it's impossible to capture all the landscape in one photo (or if you do it's gonna look very small and not so majestic) so it's usually to recommend to find a specific detail which can represent the landscape. Like, pick one mountain to shoot instead of the entire mountain range. In this case I think it would be beneficial for the composition to not include the entire tail of smoke, but instead perhaps only the smoke closest to the car and some of the smoke in the background. Showing just a few stripes from the curb would also be a visual cue that would let the viewer know it's a corner. You would still see that it's a long corner and it would be possible to get closer to the car for such a shot.

3. Filter is up to each person's own taste. I don't like the warm filter that much, but maybe you do.

4. Nice to see the driver. If you're gonna attempt to remake this shot it would be nice if you could try and keep the driver visible!

5. I don't know what settings for shutter speed and camera movement you have, but I feel that the picture is lacking a sense of speed. There are two ways that I know of: a) make the camera stationary and rotate with the car (mode 1), gives a lot of movement to the background. It's important where you point the focus, try near the front wheel to get a focused front end and a more blurry rear -> gives an effect of moving forward, works quite well in corners. b) make the camera move with the car (mode 2 & 3), gives a lot of movement to the objects closest to the camera while the background stays sharper the further away it is. Also, you get a chrystal clear car, which is good if you want that :) Also, try and go crazy with shutter speed, down all the way to 60 and if it's too much then adjust from there.

6. I like the reflection on the car! It's hard to find a good angle for a reflection like that.

Here is one of my latest pictures, please let me know what you think :)

Actually, one more picture, I hope that's okay! People are being so mean to hybrids so I figured they need some love :)

I feel this shot is a little too bright and that draws your eye to the back of the car which unfortunately is out of focus, also try not always putting the car in the centre of the frame, mix it around a bit and have fun with angles :)
I'd say a solid 6/10

It's been a while since I posted here but my shooting has changed a lot since then, here's mine :)
