6/10

It looks a little 'washed' (pardon the pun) with a black car in such a dreary background. The car is a little lost in the blueness. There's also a lot of wasted space at the bottom, while the top cuts off the banner over the course, which might have added some substance to the image.

Looks like a boat breaking water and leaving a wake, which doesn't sound too far off from what it actually was like driving it. A little motion blur might have helped to convey a better sense of motion.

Here's what I'll offer:

7.5/10 A bit too over exposed and over saturated for my taste

It looks so real to me  👍

I'll stick this up & await a flaming lol

7/10. Nice angle and zoom, however, I'm not sure if the filter works that well on this photo, it makes it look very dark. Also, perhaps could be re-done without the damage to the rear-left of the car.

It was meant to look dark :) Damn you for noticing the damage though lol. Had a perfect lap & binned it on the corner before the straight & was stuck on th barrier all the way round. I am gonna do it again with a premium car. That nsx was as i got it out the ucd.

Ahh lol. Yeah I hate it when I mess up a good lap during photoshooting. :(

Whoever posts after me should still rate one of elkayem's photos, but I had to say something about this one.

It is absolutely gorgeous. I can't find a single thing I don't like about this picture. It seems like everything in here is done properly. The subject is off-center and interesting, the contrast looks stellar, the depth of field is perfect - it captures the car phenomenally, but none of the excess in the background, the shutter speed is slow enough to give good motion but not distort the shape of the background and foreground objects.

Whether someone falls in love with this picture at first sight or doesn't like what's in it, the picture regardless scores highly in my book. Everything about it is done properly from angle of the shot to exposure and everything in between.

One of VERY few amazing photos on here. There's always room for improvement, but this is one of the best composed pictures I've seen on here to date. Since there's room for improvement, 9.99999 of 10. But you get the idea.
Wow, thanks for the compliment dude. I'm flattered. Hahaha, This shot wasn't what I was going for initially, I wanted the car's position to be one car length closer to the exit of the apex compared to this shot. But I ran into this shot and thought this was pretty cool too.

I like the detail in this picture, it looks crisp and clean. The shadows are nicely done as they aren't pixelated or blurry. I think the picture would look better if the car was in a lane instead of being in between.
8/10.

One I like very much.

No offense but that does nothing for me at all. Its just the back window of a car & i ant even tell what car it is. Not sure what you were trying to acheive with that 1 6/10

Too subtle?

The badge visible through the hole in the driver's seat should be the first clue as to what car it is.

The subject of the shot is the flying buttresses of the Ferrari 599, which I think is one of the most interesting design features in recent history. I thought it was kind of cool how I was able to frame the side mirrors in them.

Supermelon, that is a stunning shot. Nice blur, and great use of lighting. The only flaws come from shading and lighting glitches around some panel gaps. Not much you can do about that.

This one's a hard one for me to rate.. there isnt anything wrong with the picture, it just looks a bit strange..? because the rear spoiler shows more on the left side than the right.. is that because the car isnt completely straight?
I personally would have blurred out the background a bit more to give a greater sense of speed. 7/10

@Supermelon: Do you have an album? If not, should make one! Your pictures comes out really well ^^ (You also have an ISF with RPF1s.. *Like)

Thanks.

I was so busy getting the car centered on the white line and covering up the gap between the tire walls behind the car that I didn't think the bit of wing showing would matter.

For the blur, I was also hoping the blur of the curbing in front of the car would convey a sense of acceleration, rather than the full speed sensation that more blur would create. The car is exiting the hairpin at Suzuka, so it is accelerating from a low speed.

It looks like the main thing you want the viewers to focus on in this pic is what's going on in the sky rather than what's happening on the road. With the combination of blur, lack of focus and off-centered position, the car seems to be of secondary interest. That is generally not a good idea.

I think the same pic would have looked very cool with the camera focused on the right tail light of the car. 6 / 10

While I find the pic to be well done and quite stunning, the thought of what would happen to that diffuser makes me cringe. The selective colouring, which I don't usually like, seems to work well here. It enhances the sense of speed.

I obviously saw your image in the PMC, but I won't be voting for your pic because that's just too much air for a car like that. The same goes for the pic of the F2007 catching air. The disconnect from reality hurts the pic, IMO.

My only attempt at a multi-car composite

That's effing gorgeous, man! I guess the only complaint about this pic is that everything is in focus, so you don't know where to look. 9.5 / 10.

Hey thanks for your comments on my pic, BTW. Here's another snap of the same thing, but from from a different angle...slightly more realistic. I'd love to hear what you (or anyone else here) feel about this one:

P.S.: I won't be changing my entry in the PMC based on the comments made here...'coz that's just not fair IMO!

I don't think you have to change your entry based on my comment. It's a good picture.

But if you want to, I don't think there's anything unfair about it. There are lots of guys soliciting feedback in their own galleries before they choose their entries, and changing your entry once is allowed. :)

lol thanks for the compliment. :)

I currently don't have a album but I do keep most of my pictures at my flickr account. :dopey:
Don't really see many IS-F's around in your colour, but it is unique and looks amazing with the RPF1.

It´s fun to have a look around and see what´s aside the tracks/locations (George Clooney anyone? *g*). But back to topic. What should we rate on this photo? Fun: 8/10 (I like jow the Japanes love German words in video games).

Here are some of my pictures. Please give feedback on composition and originality:

George Clooney? Where?!! :dunce:

1st pic - Good composition, even if it's a bit dull. Would have loved to see it in the defaul (full colour) filter. 8 / 10

2nd pic: Haha, I didn't know there were any flowers in GT5 - great concept for a shot! I think this could have been something super special with a slightly less busier background - just one, beautiful car. 7 / 10

3rd pic: The colouring contrast is terrific. However, it seems a little over exposed, especially towards the right hand side. Also, the rear spoiler / wing seems to be pixeleated. 7 / 10

Here's my entry:

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 leaps in the air at the top of the Cape Ring crest

@swapnilgyani I always love seeing flying cars, haha. Would of been nice to see the shot a little bit more off to the left to get a different angle since the only thing you can really see is just the bumper and a lot of black. Still, an interesting shot! Solid 6.5/10!

I wish I didn't blur the background as much!

Wow, the Civic one is really nicely framed, but Kyoto and cool filter shots get a bit boring after a while. 7/10. But the Maserati is really nicely focused, and shows the most agressive part of the car, and has a nice exposure level, car's not dark as hell and the clouds arent over exposed. 9/10
Here's my post again. Poster for the 3 LM cars.

I'm no photographer, I just go by what looks good :sly:

I'm no fan that that Ford on the right. The text seems a little crammed in there.
That Ferrari is  9/10

The last one I was just trying to take a pic of the the turn :indiff:

^^ love the 3 pics they look quite realistic given that it was i think dusk/dawn. id give the first and last photo 8/10 each :) lighting could have been improved with the first one. for the 3rd one I dont know what to focus on. I just got confused

I love the 2nd photo a lot very realistic. composition wise I dont know what car to focus on the s2k or the morrison? but given more focus on the morrison (which i think is the car in focus) this could have been better. :)
