@eric1512 8/10 : great shot, great editing but the rail in the picture is kinda weird looking but other than that great shot

I'm not looking for any specific feedback, just what you think of it as a whole. It's honestly my favorite picture I've taken. It's unedited as all of my pictures are, taken straight from GT5.

I'm going to give you the cold hard truth so don't feel down: it's a tad plain.
The car is completely centered in the shot and the angle seems a bit too high. Perhaps if the shot was lower and didn't have the filter it would be improved greatly. A better shot would offset the car, probably to the right in the case of this particular photo.
You are probably new, so don't take it too hard. It takes practice.
5/10

Normally I do offset the subject (example)

After fiddling with the Vantage shot, I actually thought it looked best in the center. Just personal preference, I guess. :sly:

Its a good pic, but it seems generic because it seemed like a safe direction, unless you just did it for a quick example, anyways 7.75/10

need some feedback on these... or wich one would you prefer?

@Kickboxer

1. Great sense of speed and action. The shot is a little bit dark for my liking, especially on the right side. I almost didnt notice the blue car at first glance. I give it an 8/10...it would be a 9 for sure if the lighting was a little better.

2. Much better lighting is this one. However, the closer angle reduces the sense of speed significantly. It could use a little bit more depth of field as well...as the objects way in the distance seem a little too in-focus. I give this one a 7/10

And @jahgee, going back to the camber...I'm still lost as to how the camber on that 350z "ruins" the shot. Im only running 2.7 degrees in the front and 0.3 in the rear. Both of those settings are very average, if not slightly on the conservative side, for a drift car. It's kinda been bugging me since you posted that how moderate camber on a drift car could ruin a photo of said drift car...to me, that would be like saying that a photo of a drag car was ruined by the rake of the suspension.

Just started posting pictures on gtplanet and thought wanted some ideas on how I could improve my technique. Any and all constructive criticism will be welcome :)

Special Stage Route X_14 by driftinziggy2, on Flickr

Just a quick hello to you all, I just found this thread and I'm really enjoying going through the pages, some great stuff throughout guys 👍

Now back to the matter at hand, I like the NSX, the wheels just pop out with their shine. But for me,thats also the problem, it takes away from appreciating the car, as does its dark colour. 7/10

The McLaren-Mercedes picture, I'm finding it hard to be unbiased about it as I'm not a fan of this car. But I think its a solid picture as its in focus and it certainly looks like its going somewhere fast, but on a track like Route X where the enviornment is very bland, hence the shipyard, IMO white is not the colour to have there. 6/10
I could be completely wrong to other people's views but these are just my opinions, I just like a car with a nice colour to look at it a picture.

I have plenty of pictures to show you all eventually but please know I'm essentially a ''noob'' when it comes to them. I don't know much about exposure or contrast or anything like that and just recently found out about Modes so go easy on me ;) Any critique is welcome though 👍

@Horde_R35 If you were talking to me, I'm guessing that you mean that I didn't leave a rating about other photos. the reason I didn't give a rating on was because like I said I have only just started posting pictures, and only really just started taking them on GT5, so I don't really have much of an idea of what makes a good photo and what doesn't, so I'm not really in a position where I could give ideas and tips on how to improve, because I don't know enough myself to help them.

Mate you have to rate the photo above your post. Give a note from 0 to 10 and its ok. Just look at the photo and tell what you think.

Like Horde said, you must rate the photos in the post above yours. That's the whole point of this thread. If you don't want to rate photos, you should post them in a different thread where they are appropriate. You can ask for critiquing and advice in other threads as well. The other thing you could try is starting a gallery, and asking people to give you tips on the pics you post there.

Here's my photos again, a rating would be appreciated :)

Fair enough, I'll try to give some feedback on the photos.

1st pic: I like how the camera angle is low, and I like the sense of speed that you get from the slightly blurred surroundings. 8/10

2nd pic: Again I like the camera angle, and think that by putting the car out of the centre of the shot like you did makes the shot interesting to look at. 8/10

3rd pic: Sorry mate, but I just don't seem to like this one. I like the sense of speed that it has, but I think that the car takes up to much of the shot, and there's not a lot to look at apart from the car, so in my opion it's a bit boring. 5/10

@MrMattAdz, thanks :) That's all we're looking for here. Just say what you like and /or don't like about the photo. You don't need to be a photography expert or anything. If you stick with GT5 photography long enough, all that technical stuff will come with time. I'm just learning myself.

@MrSpark...we just went through this on the last two pages. Please read the Original Post (OP) of this thread so you understand the rules before you continue to post. But basically, your photos will not receive a rating unless you rate the photos posted above yours.

Things have got quite muddled up in the last few pages due to people not following the thread rules. Read the OP people...it doesn't say to do so in the title for no reason...

what do you guys think

FAIL, I give both photos 0/10, try again.

FFS, you didn't read the OP like it says in the thread title...you didn't even read the post directly above yours.

This thread isnt just a photo dump. If you're new, read the OP (it's not even that long). If you don't want to rate photos, post somewhere else.
