What should the best tire we use for Season 3 be?

You can paint your car however you want. You also don't need to use a real team name, it's just a option.

And anthony didn't want to do the 787b thing, so I think everything will stay unchanged.

Are you going to switch to the 787B?

Possibly. I don't want to right now. We haven't completely speced it yet. Considering it was added abruptly. Whatever I start the season with will be what I run for the whole year.

You just said that Anthony doesn't want the 787B allowed, or did I read it wrong? Then the GT grid looks full as well, is it not?

Gt won't be filled up, I would however, like you to run the Nissan once.

Tokyo 246 is a tough track. It is hard on tires. I have little familiarity with Tokyo 246.

I'd rather run the Mazda again to show it's not favored, but if you insist I use the Nissan I'll try it. But don't be mad if I spin :)

Polar I have no problem, you are who have to say if Seth can compete with Mazda!!!

Cnd, would you like to drive the Mazda too?

:( I'm not in DP, and I really shouldn't have a say, but, we really should forget about the Mazda deal A.S.A.P.

It almost seems like Seth's sorry for it. I think, though, that he had run a tuning setup with traction control, and the lobby settings changed.

I think we should too... Im just trying to make a back up plan.

Remember to whoever hosts... TC IS ON!

I am still unsure. Whichever car I start the season with will be what I use. I have to test both cars more. I still don't know what specs the 787B uses.

It's a backup plan if Seth doesn't like the Nissan. Hopefully he will like it more with TC.

I HAD TC ON with the Nissan guys. Even then I kept spinning. I wouldn't purposely drive bad, I don't know what happened to it. Every tune I tried doesn't solve the issue. Even extending the gears doesn't help. I have no answer with the ds3.

Using a controller just means that the entire tune comes down to the LSD. Whereas most drivers worry about the suspension, DS3 users have to worry more about the LSD.

My G27 proves that theory time and time again. Trust me on that one.

Rolex Series: News Report at Dodge!

Recently, things at Dodge have been relatively quiet from a news front. Tez_SP17 kept his primary focus shared between all-round testing for the series and performing practice laps around Daytona in preparation for the now-completed preseason race last weekend, which saw him romp away with the GT win. Tez mentioned that winning the pre-season race was “a big win” for him and Dodge, given the less than convincing win last season. He was also “delighted” at the switch to the SRT10 ACR. “The improved aerodynamics will play a key role all season for the team’s performance.” Tez stated in an interview with GTPlanet.

Tez also seemed worried that the series still needed some balancing refinements before they could progress to commencing the new season. “Both the new drivers for Audi showed up and during the race it was clear that both struggled with Daytona’s complex layout, as did I last season, but it seemed like the car lacked the same pace as the Mazda and Dodge. Strangely, the Ferrari had problems too despite its specs being competitive in every way to Dodge this season.” Tez mentioned in another interview statement. The Dodge driver carried out a test on the Audi, deciding that the car’s specs needed a tweak to improve the overall pace of the car. As for the Ferrari, he feels that he needs to have a little time testing the car before he can comment; time he didn’t have as testing the Audi at Daytona delayed his move to Tokyo for the next pre-season round.

In the last few hours, it has been announced that both drivers of Dodge, Tez_SP17 and FlyinHawaiian77, are more than happy to unveil that they will be racing under a team name for this season. At Daytona, it was recently seen that Tez’s Dodge Viper ACR was sporting a black and vibrant orange colour scheme; a scheme that Tez was keen to continue. The rumours in the paddock suggested that the idea was put forward by his Dodge teammate, FlyinHawaiian, prompted additional rumours that the drivers weren’t just driving under the Dodge banner. Today, it is announced that Tez_SP17 and FlyinHawaiian77 will be racing under the team name of SunsetShift Racing.

I don't think you understand me when I said I tried everything. The LSD is the 1st thing I tune. High values, low values, it didn't change the severe oversteer. You mess too much with it and you'll end up having no steering response or its way too sensitive. I never had that happen before. I think it's the power range and when most of that torque kicks in. Usually you can change this with the different turbo's, but installing any of them brings the power too high to meet 500hp.

I'll have to check this out for myself. Haven't even touched the one I have yet.

Hey everyone! We now have a registration link! It's at the bottom of the OP! Please fill it out!

Rolex Series: A Word with Audi Driver ghskilla

Audi unveils their 2012 car, and team name: APR Motorsport

So, season 2 of the Rolex Sports Car Series, and last year's constructors champions, Audi, has an all new line-up for this season. Both consist of rookie drivers ghskilla and tbwhhs. We've managed to have a word with ghskilla and asked him on his thoughts going into this season.
"The pre-season at Daytona was a bit of a disappointment for us," he said, "Both of our cars were lapped, me once, tbwhhs twice. Being the dominant car last year, you can tell the team didn't like the results. I managed to spin the car out a couple of times, mostly because I was coping with the team's new steering rack. Under braking, my car's rears would literally step out, causing oversteer into turn 1. It was good at conserving the tires, though, and I managed to stay a lap out ahead of MrM. I think that the car is below pace, with MrM's Mazda lapping faster and faster ahead of us each lap. I couldn't get the car to go below 48s, but we did have a faster pace than the Ferrari. Both of our car's seem to be below pace this season, and I think they are changing the specs of both our team's cars and the Ferraris. It seems that my team mate, tbwhhs, was also struggling with the car; he was lapped twice. Our team is definitely trying to get the car to suit him, but as for being team mates, we haven't really communicated that much."
Yes, it did seem that you guys had a disappointing result in Daytona, what do you think this means for the rest of the season?
"I really don't know, it was only a pre-season race. The next pre-season is in Tokyo, and we'll try and analyze the results in that race and we'll see where we might expect to be for the rest of the season. I hope that we can improve, as our team is very well determined to winning the constructor's like last year."
So, tell us about your car.
"This year we're running an Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro. Same as last year. My car's specs to be exact is 440HP and weighs 1330kg. Although I've heard that the regulations will change, bringing the specs up to even out the field, as our car is off the pace slightly."
Do you think you're the number one driver for the team?
"If we go by the result at Daytona, then probably. But then again maybe it was just that race, maybe tbwhhs will be faster than me in Tokyo. We're both rookies, and it's too early in the season to find out. I really hope that we'll be equal teammates, but one has to finish above the other. Of course, that 'number one' title in the team means deciding car sponsors and looks, but if you meant 'faster driver' then we'll see on Tokyo."
Will you set your sights on the championship?
"Definitely. It's going to be a close field this season once they get the specs of the cars evened out. Once that happens it's all for the championship. Anyone has a chance to win it, and I certainly hope that I can attain this goal. For my rookie year, this seems like a hard goal to achieve, but I'm determined to get the team on top and win the championship."

APR Driver ghskilla

The team at Audi certainly has two fast rookies in their disposal, but can they get the car up to speed again? As for this year, the Audi team will go by the name of APR Motorsport.

Team 2!!!

And COOL car guys! Don't worry, this weekend you'll be quicker! Count on a weight drop, and possibly a horsepower increase!
