Lets post some odd, cool or otherwise crazy (good or bad) Smartcars in here. I'll start.

The coolest Smartcar ever. I would so drive this to/from work. :D

Loads of smart pictures on my computer. More to come, but just made plans to go out now so they'll come later!

Oh, but first...

Long smart is long.

I'm not a fan of the Smart, but I have this old photo that I took on a 2mp phone camera in (I think) 2006/7:

Quite questionable if you ask me, but the chav's seemed to love it... LOL

The first time I saw this vid I laughed so hard.....:lol::lol:

Those guys are well know here, their major shop is around 100kms from where I live and they've won most national bike championships in the last few years with their perfectly tuned bikes (various brands, they don't stick to just one). 👍

I've always thought the Crossblade would be good fun, but not in the UK.

If we're talking non-production smarts, I always liked the Crosstown concept:

A bit less cutesy than the normal smart 👍

I've always liked the ForFour too - it's just a pity it never sold very well, other rivals offered more for less money.

Though smart are thinking of bringing it back following their increasing success... below is an artist's impression (Auto Express had a better one, depicting the car with suicide doors rather than two rows, to improve access - but this is the first one I found):

And a random pic I liked:

Another vid that proves with alot of money and far to much time on your hands! Anything is possible...

You're gonna like this: It's not a paintjob.

Those panels on smarts are basically just plastic (I forget what kind, smart just calls it a "high quality plastic"), and that plastic is coloured when they're being produced. That colour scheme is called "numeric blue". They did another with the original smart called "scratch black":

Every single one is unique - the pattern varies slightly on every car. Main benefit over paint is that it's pretty scratch resistant, and if you really knacker it in a crash or something, you can just get a whole new panel, as opposed to getting a new panel and then spending thousands on a paintjob for it again.

The Roadster Light - stripped of most it's equipment (even the radio), on skinny tyres on steel wheels, and with the basic roof panels (that leak much less than the canvas top does). If it had a regular manual gearbox, it'd be the perfect small sports car.

I'm sorry but no matter how aggresive your steering lock is for the photo, the smart for two will never look cool.

I dig the RS Coupe. Give me the orange paint scheme though!

Scary thing is, that I really do like the Roadster coupe. :nervous: the problem is, I HATE autoboxes with passion, and with that tiny engine+ merc slushbox combo it takes couple days to reach highway speeds, no matter how light the car is.

Let's face it...you'd have taken two Smart engines and joined them at the crank, too, if you were insane.

can't do that in Finland :irked: Law allows 25% increase in displacement and 20% increase in power and 10% increase in weight of the engine. and the roadster coupe isn't available in US either.

Wrong Brabus, Jim, this is the V6 you hinted at:

It's a pity Project Kimber never got off the ground - they were planning to equip the roadster with a 1 litre naturally aspirated engine and a proper manual transmission. If they'd done that they might well have made the roadster perfect. All the magazines were coming out with this artist's impression. I think it looks great:
