Ran a few laps with Capt Gary, Will and Goodwolf. Some improvements on times for Will and myself, and great to get some times for Goodwolf on the table. Tomorrow sees the start of real practice for Sundays race, and if there are enough we will run 2x10 lap races. Room will be open from 8.00pm.

Looks like I wont be able to make the final race.

Have a great last race and thanks Ade for the Sunday cup S3 and everyone who took part 👍👍👍.

Had fun :)

We had 8 for Friday practice tonight, and some new times were set. Dan is no longer the pace setter for this final race of SC3. Tomorrow will be the last chance to post times before this Sundays final race.

Hi all I would love to join for the final practice but the Sun is out and the neighbours are all coming round. Also good luck all for tomorrow's final race.

Just to say I will not be able to join tomorrow. It wouldn't feel right if I'm honest anyway . Good luck to all and especially those going for the title!

Final Sunday Cup practice is done. Socal added his time tonight, and tomorrows race will seal the championship. I would like to thank all participants for making SC3 a success. Its not an easy task setting up something like this, and still having busy grids at the end, makes it worthwhile. Good luck everyone for tomorrows final race of SC3.

It shall be good to see how the strategies play out tomorrow night, can't wait till the endurance race and my first full season as a sunday cupper! Catch you all tomorrow night.

Tonight see's the final race of S3. Can Dan hold onto his 4 point lead in the championship and become the new Sunday Cup champion, or will Cobani or Capt Gary pull off a miracle at Suzuka? We will find out tonight in the grande finale of The Sunday Cup.

I'm going into tonight's Showdown full of confidence.

All of you are great gentlemen drivers and we will give it our best to make it a race to remember.

Tonight is gonna be special ... 'cause someone might just have cracked the 2.03-barrier. :trouble:

Good luck to everyone tonight and congratulations to you Ade for another successful and exciting Season of The Sunday Cup.

I'm terribly sorry I can't be there tonight but nonetheless have a good one 👍

I dont think it worked Gary, but thanks anyway.👍

Well Sunday Cuppers, its all done. What a great race to end S3. Our Evora's have done us proud, and must not be parked up just yet. But thats a story for another day, as now is the time to celebrate the podium finishers. It gives me great pleasure for the final time this season to announce that champagne may now be consumed. Full results and final standings will be published tomorrow as usual. Thank you to everyone who has made The Sunday Cup a success.👍👍👍

Really happy with that one! Fun laps with Bo for the 1st eleven. I couldn't shake ya 👍

I went into the race unsure on strategy.. I decided after 10 laps that the tyres were holding up ok, and that I would go for a 1 stopper.. I changed to the softs on lap 18 and they too held up pretty good. Bo was matching my pace on his final stint with us both on the soft tyre, but I had a 9-10 sec buffer.. He kept the pressure on me for the entire race. Well done Bo, and Gary.. Great racers!!!

Thanks to Ade for all his efforts.. And to all you Sunday Cuppers for making 'The Sunday Cup'™ so much fun :D

Thanks Petros.. I wish you could have been in all the races mate.. Maybe next time 👍

Thanks everyone, and here's the pic from our Spa photo shot. I'm sure that someone will come up with a better one, but for now....

After a Grande Finale at Suzuka with an epic battle with Dan,
it is time to pass the Sunday Cup crown over to the new champion: Hyper-Dan

Please bare in mind that this crown is from the original Sunday Cup 1 and therefore does not reflect the evolution the Sunday Cup has made.
I suggest you color it orange, I did that and it looks awesome! 👍

Thank you gentlemen for another fantastic season!

Liking the avatar update Gary, good to see my seed bear fruits :sly:👍

When you're given something that works, I find it's best to run with it. It's kinda fitting, being as snails are slow 👍

Time for Dan to get his crayons out and make it look pretty. I think he may go for black :sly:

Here is my group Photo input

I think it's amusing that Dan and Cobani have scrubbed the "real" from the logo

I have been asked if I have enjoyed my Sunday Cup experience.
I can say in all honesty yes. I have enjoyed every practice, race and message on the thread. My initial aim was to join the series on a casual basis and hopefully take away some deeper understanding of the GT5 mechanics.
I have come away with so much more than I could have ever imagined.
I took the plunge and joined full time, during the course of 17 weeks, I have improved my ability to setup a car, made the transition from automatic to manual gears and made some friends.
But what is probably most important to me is the overall impact The Sunday Cup has made on me as an individual.
Before joining the series I felt like I was shambling through my days just passing the time. Zombified if you will. taking no real interest in what was going on around me, lacking focus or ambition.
In short this series, no, "great bunch of racers" has empowered me, speak up when its needed and take control of what happens around me. Otherwise I'll always be living a life of remorse for what might have been.

Thanks all, for the racing, the spirit of competition and the camaraderie.

Awesome pics Gary. Its always nice to get a group shot at the end of each season. Also thanks for the kind words, I am really glad you enjoyed your first season in the Sunday Cup, and came away with so much.👍👍👍

Lovely pics.. and crown lol. Well chuft to win the championship and the final race at Suzuka.. Also pleased to finish on the podium in every race I started. :D

Well its the post race Monday update, and it always feels a bit different when the season has come to a finish. I had a great night of racing, and was pleased to start 5th on the grid with the SS tyres. There were 7 SS starters on last nights grid, and the racing for the first few laps was intense. After losing several places at T1, I managed to keep up with the SS gang until i lost it at 130R on lap 4. This sent me nose first into the armco, and I didnt catch up until lap 9 after my first trip to the pits. After that I shared several exciting laps battling with Goodwolf and Third. I tried to keep out for an extra lap after they pitted for the second time, and came out with Socal just behind me. I then pushed hard to try and catch Goodwolf and Third again, putting in some great lap times. At the start of lap 27 I passed Will in the pits, and knew he would be hunting me down on new tyres. On the final lap of the race he got past me, and finished 1/10th of a second ahead. Awesome race to end S3.

A big welcome to Will on his SC debut. I hope you enjoyed the racing mate and are looking forward to more SC action.

The final graphics are all done, and all that's left to do is award the new Champion with his title. Well done Dan.
