Isn't the Fiats on Friday?

Ran a few laps with Weescotman tonight. We had 1 3 lap race in dry conditions. I managed to improve my time on the last lap by 1 tenth of a second. Im looking forward to this Fridays practice, and the race on Sunday. The weather forecast for the race will be posted on Saturday evening.

Final practice for Sundays race is at 8.00pm tonight. Last chance to improve on lap times and try out the rolling start we will be using on Sunday. 5 lap races will be the order of the night, on both wet and dry tyres.

Other news. When GTP_Joylord sent me Dan's winning print, I asked for a second copy, which I gave to the Lotus PR department this week, along with a spare SC3 badge as a way of thanking them for the prizes donated for SC3. They were most impressed with the gifts, and will be watching us closer than ever in future events and season's.👍👍👍

I'll be there tonight, maybe not early doors, but I will put in an appearance. It'll be nice to get behind the wheel of something more "Normal" 👍

I will probably not arrive again at this practice. I don't have wifi reception at the other TV and in my room it's very hot and my PS3 makes weird noises in that clima, i don't wanna push it. Weather should be better on sunday though. \o/

Ok mate, but just make sure your prepared for the wet, and also the rolling start we will be using.

Well what a fun final practice session. 9 Sunday Cuppers made their way to Spa and we tested the weather, as well as the rolling start. It was great to see Petros submit a competetive time on the RH tyre tonight, as well as some more improvements in the wets. Grand_prix Rob, and Hancock are the pace setters for this race, both getting into the 21's. There were some repeat connection issues between Cobani and Weescotman, which were resolved when we moved to an open lobby after practice, so Sundays race may be held in an open lobby. I will open my lobby from 7.00pm, and once everyone is in, if there are any issues, we will move to an open lobby.

There is no more practice for this race, as it Le Mans tomorrow.

Gentlemen, get ready for Sunday, and our very last race in the Sunday Cup Evora, and dont forget, the weather forecast for Sunday will be posted tomorrow evening.

The race starts as soon as you have gone through T1. If everyone is in the room early enough I will add 1 extra lap, and we can do a formation lap to ensure we are all in our correct positions.

Good evening, here is the weather forecast for Belgium tomorrow evening at about 8.30pm.....

Bit of a mixed bag of weather, with low pressure causing localized showers. The evening will start dry, but expect showers, and possible heavy downpours in between sunny intervals. The weather will be at 50% with a changeability facter of 5, so dont forget your umbrella's.

Now, on a more serious note. We all love motorsport, thats why we come here. Today has been a sad day, with 2 tragic loses. Allan Simonsen at Le Mans, and Wolf Silvester at VLN. We race from the safety of our sofa's/rigs/mancaves, and the most we will see is heavy damage, and a trip to the pits. These guys put their lives on the line and paid the ultimate price for our entertainment.

Tomorrows race will be dedicated to Allan Simonsen #95, and Wolf Silvester #350.

Sincere condolences and thoughts go out to Aston Martin Racing and the Simonsen family following the tragic events of this year's Le Mans 24h

Allan Simonsen #95 R.I.P.

Sorry guys but something came up and I won't be with you tonight. :(

Ok, thanks for letting me know Goodwolf. See you next Friday in The Fiat 500 Trophy. 👍👍

Tonights the night for The Sunday Cup Spa Special. I cant wait :scared:

This race will be held in an open lobby, so please use the player icon on my coffee cup to join. I will also post the room number in here when I have opened it.

The lobby will be open from 7.30pm BST for free practice.

Qualifying will be 15 minutes long, starting at 8.15pm.

Race start will be 8.30pm.

Please be on time gents.

Race will be set to 31 laps, to allow for 1 formation lap at the start. 60 mph/96 kph all the way round, stay in grid order, and get into single file along the pit straight before a rolling start after T1 (La Source).

Usual rules, clear PS3 cache, and switch off mics during the race.

Hi Ade, I wasn't able to participate in the most recent practice sessions, so just want some clarification about this rolling start if possible ....

At which exact point are we free to race after turn one? Is there a specific marker at which point we can accelerate, and how will this be policed for jump starts? Many thanks, Kev

Due to the nature of T1, and being a very busy grid, it was suggested that we use a rolling start after T1. The race will start as soon as you exit the turn. This way it will put a small gap between each car on our first approach to Eau Rouge, and it will minimize accidents. As we are using heavy damage for this race, it was decided that this way will reduce drivers getting damage right at the start of the race.

As we complete the formation lap, cars will get into single file in grid order, then you can race as soon as you have made your turn into T1,

Cobani has used this method in endurance races at Spa, and during the practice sessions it definitely reduced T1 accidents.

I will also post these rules in the lobby tonight, so everyone is clear on the procedure.

Edit, I have pmd everyone on PSN with these rules also.

Cheers, that's great. Sounds like an ideal solution. This heavy damage is a bit of a worry so hopefully we can get through the first lap unscathed!
