Cobani's Race Report: Cape Ring South (Pre season race)
The final warm up race before Season 3 gets underway
with the usual suspects and some very fast newcomers ...
Quali saw me getting 8th on the grid. Being on the hard compound tyre things were looking good stategy-wise ...
A beautiful grid awaits 50 laps on a flowing circuit ...
Down into turn 1 and up the hill they go ...
A good start meant 8th became 5th ...
Trying my best to get the most of this opportunity ...
(Did you check the curves of this baby ... Just gorgeous ...)
With Cobrius hot on my heals on the softer compound, I messed up by riding the kerb too much ...
Down to last place with the 'harder compound'-cars at the back of the pack ...
Lovely elevations on this track ...
My advance halted battling with Ade for a good few laps ...
Great fair racing all the way as I pipped Ade on my in-lap ...
Ade probably wanted to see more of this, but it was strategy-time ...
An empy pit with a single ray of sunlight ...
Keeping up with Petros with my fresh set of tyres ...
Flying round on high 21's saw me getting track position ...
A second pitstop to minimise the loss of grip ...
All to play for again, trying to maximise my tyre advantage ...
Yeah baby!
( I could not think of a line here, so I stole Dan's ... because that never grows old ...
)
With Dan firmly in control and out of sight, I tried to catch Cpt_D ...
The podium was set in stone, so just some last-lap-lolz ...
Getting 3rd after a awesome race made me and my Evora grin from ear to ear/mirror to mirror ...
Can't wait for Season 3 to get underway, I really got hooked on driving the very finest of cars Lotus has to offer. With the specs being as close to real life as possible, I'm now officially a Lotus fan! 👍
