Why has there never been a single piece of singleplayer content for the kart in 4.5 years of this game?

Like, even if they don't want to give it a permanent event because of how the game is structured, it's unbelievable to me that it hasn't had a weekly event yet.

The WTC 600 race at Grand Valley is the only event I’ve been able to win in the kart, and it’s not that hard.

It really kills me that they designed kart tracks for decoration at some of the fictional tracks but we can’t drive on them.
 
I can’t stress enough how annoying it is when performance points change after an update!

PLEASE!!!!!! Can’t you just update the cars performance points for us?!?!?!

I began hopping in every car one at a time today, I’ve hardly scratched the surface and I only have like 320 cars.

I WILL GLADLY WAIT FIVE TO TEN MINUTES FOR MY GAME TO LOAD WHILE IT UPDATES ALL MY CARS PERFORMANCE POINTS RATINGS AFTER AN UPDATE!

This is absolutely ridiculous in my books that we have to manually update every single car.

** I’d like to add, I just spent another ten minutes going through cars. Not only is it time consuming, but the PP sometimes bumps the car into a different category higher or lower so you end up clicking on it for no reason when you move to the next class. Now I’m wishing I went by brand not performance points. What a huge oversight on their part! 😡 😡 😡

Something - I have wanted for a long time is in offline mode to be able to turn on track limits for time penalties etc. Just to make things more interesting. It works extremely well for circuit experience. You could even have say a setting for DOF if collision at over 50 mph. This works well for some random events. I remember doing some event in GT5 prologue using a Ferrari where this made it challenging.

It's annoying I have to go into the apower pack to buy the extra cars. Couldn't they be in Brand Central under Gran Turismo or greyed out in their respective dealerships?
 
A way to favorite special paints or see last used for the special paints would be nice. Sucks having to scroll through dozens of paints or try and match a certain shade etc.

Would be nice to have a colour picker tool as well. That eye dropper thing. So many times I grab a decal, I want to match a colour in it and that can take five minutes to get it just right.

Agree - so many simple things could add a lot. When choosing different car in photo mode it would be nice to have an easy way to click home or jump to top/bottom/maybe middle of all cars in garage.

I know it’s the least of a persons concerns with a racing game… livery options, but it’s just simple things like that which make it feel a little less thought out. The game is littered with that type of stuff. Awesome feature….. But why did you stop it there?!
 
I just thought of another, I’ve ran out of liveries. I have to get in each car one at a time and go to load livery to see if I have any liveries I can delete. They need to let us just look at all our liveries in a folder. Also if you buy a car, paint it, end up selling it, it holds onto that livery and there’s no way to delete it until you buy the car again.

I found this out because I sold the Toyota one or whatever it was, ran out of liveries, ended up winning that car back, found out I had some liveries for it for a contest! I assumed once I sold the car the liveries deleted.

Anyway we need a liveries page to see all of our liveries so we can quickly clean up our livery mess… created by their weird way of storing liveries.

There is one, although it's clunky and requires you to remember what it is you called each one.

Go to the Livery Editor, click Open Design, and then select "All" rather than "Current Car".

Probably doesn’t show the thumbnails either, since hardly any of mine show a thumbnail anymore. Darn. But I’ll try it out thanks.

It doesn't, or at least they still haven't loaded in since my last post. Hence requiring you to remember the names :lol:

Mine are almost all called Perpl[car], which is easy enough.

It happens after playing offline (or if the connection drops and you don't exit GT7 quickly enough): all livery thumbs get deleted, a bug maybe, and as far as I know they have to be regenerated one by one to show up again.

Yeah, the naming and saving was confusing to me when I first began making them. I ended up with a lot of micro adjustments saved as gg. Which was fine when thumbnails were there, but then they disappeared.

I had no idea I was saving a brand new slightly adjusted livery. I started naming them better, but didn’t realize I should have been including the car names.

Would be nice to have like a book and you just flip through and go yuck that one’s bad and delete it lol

Yeah exactly hahaha. Just checked it out, I now regret not fully understanding how this all works. Thumbnails would help big time, but it’s almost all greyed out.

Moving forward I think I need letters of colour and the car! Say RWB Camaro. Red white blue Camaro.

If the thumbnails could be quickly regenerated or not disappear in the first place, I think your instructions was just what I was looking for. Thanks anyway.


** if anybody cares, it’s 1:20 seconds to go into the garage, get in a car, go to the livery editor, select a livery, click edit, then overwrite and back out back to the garage to pick another car. This gives you your thumbnail back.

1 minute per car… I have 443 cars. So 7hrs to fix this on my own.

If there's one tiiiiny thing that bothers me about GT7 that GTSport actually did better (which isn't much but still) - it's that you could apply drift steering to ANY car - which meant in gtpsort you could actually drift more of the VGT cars much more effectively, which just isn't as possible anymore since most VGTs don't have the steering adapter upgrade in GT7..

I don't like that when asked to repaint a car everything is repainted, even elements that aren't supposed to be painted as plastic bumpers (ex : Twingo) or coated fabric roofs (ex : Citroën 2CV). You can then paint parts individually, but it is already too late, you have lost the original color and texture.

They did modelise beautiful Alsatian houses, it's a shame they aren't closer to the track so we can appreciate them better. It would slightly improve the immersion on this circuit, which lacks a bit of identity.

Like you posted your car and your ps friends could drive it but not change the setup or paint. I’d like to see that back. NY course, Paris course and Hong Kong from GT4, Rome and Tokyo 246 from GT5 back in the game.

You could gift cars and possibly money. I miss being able to gift cars. If somebody in our group didn’t have a car or much time, one of us would just buy it for them so we could all race the car around the track.

It was also just fun to be able to buy a car, give it a paint job or tune and send it to a friend… whether they used it or not.

You could also share tunes. Every racing game pretty much has this, it’s super frustrating to not be able to do this. The way you copy tunes from friends now makes me want to… idk, what’s the PG version… “flip a table” ? Lol

I do not recall those features at all and have played all versions. You sure your not thinking of Forza.

On the other hand have said it before and will say it again. Provide the ability to turn on track limits, even tire wear and fuel in personal time trials to make it more realistic and interesting. While they are at it what would be wrong wih having online based time trials for every track in maybe 4 or so PP categories and 4 or so race class categories. Granted suppose that would require a huge data base. Would add a lot more depth then weeklies or bi-weeklies etc.

I know for a fact I would share tunes and I would gift cards. Maybe not money but that sort of rings a bell. GT5

*** googled it. I got mixed up. We did gift cars, we did share money and tunes. But it was all through gifting cars.

So I’d setup a car and send it to a friend. The tune was applied.

As for gifting credits, I forgot we’d buy a car and gift it then that friend would sell it to get money to buy a specific car.

It was a work around, as usually with gran Turismo, kind of an annoying way around what should be in the game.

I think Seasonals had way more events than what Sport Mode, including Time Trials, have now. At least it seemed that way to me from memory.

Absolutely.

Part of what got me excited for getting involved in the online racing space was the prospects teased by GT5's Seasonal Menu.

But alas.

I feel the Wings available for some cars are limited, for example the Mazda 3 GR4 wing style is not possible to set to a normal Mazda.
Car grille Selection is too short.
 
One thing I forgot to mention about the Sardegna PP800 race was that sometimes at the end, the game would freeze. But yet I was still awarded the credits right after I booted up my PlayStation console and entered the main menu world.
