Cruising at 50 khm speed on order to reach the pits at lemans ( heavy rain ) i went out , that cost me a 7 sec penalty!!!!
I never get such a high one ever .
Also i have the impression that somehow the penalties apply very different, depending on the way you drive (any car ) and i mean if you going fast or conservative with the car you have .
Doing EXACTLY the same thing in same cases might cost you ot not .
For example, hiting a cone without be on the limits of car potential won't cost you , but if your speed is at full potential that car offers, penalty applies.
Going out all wheels at white lines might cost you nothing riding powerful cars in slower speed than car can carry, put 2 wheels out on a detune gt500 riding on his limits and Bang , 0.500 applies.
Don't know if anyone else notice that but since i do lemans every day with various cars am 100% sure that penalties apply depending on the car and the way you drive, fast or not .
And that is quite annoying if you're chasing faster lap times etc.
Hit a single cone and take a penalty, hiting all cones in a row and nothing happens ( except that slow you down) if you're on cruising ride , that becomes a joke .
Also annoying is that you need to be a sort of meteorologist in order to guess what weather brings using the radar in the straights, in order when you will pit and what tyres to choose.
Yesterday i run 3 races on dry and two in such a heavy rain that in some areas you could do ...... fishing!!!.
Was the first time that i saw blue colour on top of rain indicator .
At the first one i took the 7 sec. Penalty , while on the AI a yellow flag party was at his best.
