And yes, I actually have a real response to this Part 2 predictions hornet's nest I disturbed, but it'll take me a while to put it together,

The elements were within each Pony all along, and that they must truly embrace their elements somehow in order to restore harmony. Only then will they be able to defeat Discord.

Also, do you think the CMC will play a part in episode 2? If so, how would they be able to help restore harmony if they did play a vital role in the next episode?

I'd hope not.

I don't want them to pull the same "They were in you all along" card, when they did that same thing in the first episode of S1.

I don't real have a big problem with it, but doing the same thing for the opening episode twice would seem a bit lazy.
And yes, I do think they'll play a roll, I just have almost no idea how. Maybe:

After a bit of thinking, I came to an idea as a result of a discussion in a Pony thread that is totally not this one!

Discord attempts to corrupt Twilight by painting the picture of Tyrant Celestia and shaking her belief in the princess. He twists Celly and Luna's usurpation of his rule as being them trying to rule the world.

I cannot say I haven't thought of this happening...

In fact, it's just TOO EASY to imagine this. Discord could break Twi to PIECES with that, though it'll be hard, Twi seems to have decent willpower. That could even send irate Twilight off to...well...Take care of Discord's old rivals back in the castle.

Unless Twi tricks him into giving her the Elements by AGREEING to do so...with her fingers crossed behind her back. Yet, I don't see her (successfully) pulling a Liarjack, and the whole situation's a bit dark for the show, so...I doubt that'll happen.

What could have the potential to be more chaotic that chaos incarnate? The CMC perhaps? Maybe they'll counter Discord with, well, discord of their own making. This was evident at the beginning of Ep 1, what with the CMC fighting over a disagreement of opinions (in other words, there was discord between the 3 of them). I don't know how that would work exactly, but I just wanted to say it.

What about blackmailing, Dischord could use that card, like "If you keep going you wont have friends anymore" or something similar, it was used against RD, I can see it being used with Twilight and her friends.

Discord didn't blackmail Dash. He basically caused her to BSoD over conflicting paths of loyalty rather than outright corrupting her like he did with the other 4.

Hence why I said he cheated against her this morning.

I would consider the Tyrant Celestia scenario likely but then Celestia is only limited to an observer instead of a protagonist when interacting with the mare 6

That's quite an interesting idea Toro, in fact I kind of wish that would happen in the second episode. It all depends though really, do you actually think Discord will become more villainous in Part 2? I can imagine that happening to be honest, but even so, I wouldn't be prepared to put money on Discord manipulating Twilight in that way.

Yeah. I originally didn't consider that. That's why I hastily went back and added the big "if" to that post before anyone saw what was originally there.

I can't see Twilight being blackmailing in the next episode. It would be interesting if it did happen, but I just don't think it will.

I have no preconceptions that it will work. Just that he would try.


As it is already, if the show was aimed at an audience any higher it would already be open season to make it as depressing as hell. For example, can you imagine the amount of GrimDark the show would practically be swimming in if Discord has an ounce of the malice Nightmare Moon had, considering he's already gotten far closer to defeating them then she ever did by doing the exact thing she failed to do?

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Scoot, Sweetie Belle and Applebloom were the things that snapped Dash, Rarity and AJ out of their funks.

What if Discord tries to tempt her with something related to knowledge. Maybe he could grant her all the knowledge in the known universe, or maybe he could offer her more resources to learn. Resources that she would otherwise never have.

I'm in no way suggesting it would work, but it would make sense to try to tempt her with something like that.

Knowledge would be the obvious point that Discord would aim for when it comes to Twilight Sparkle. Who knows, it might very well happen in the second episode. It would also be interesting to see how Twilight's resolve would hold up against temptation.

Being Dischord is a thought job, at least I should have attempted to do it correctly.

It stops being funny when people you want to really discuss or chat are involved, plus the hatemail was alarmingly increasing, I saw this coming so I should not being complaining about it, but by posting this maybe I don't stay like a complete a:censored:.




Apart from that, I've been thinking about the whole discord thing, and actually(ironically) Pony Psychology wasn't that far from this whole thing, to be more precise:

What it basically does is put the element against its porter, in canon this was made more directly with the whole going Gray thing, but in PS it was different but not too far.

>For Rarity was over generosity(instead of selfishness as I thought it was the right way to do PP and don't make that chapter suck so much).

But PP had a point, Twilight is ultimately different from the mane six(because of the spark), which makes me think that maybe Dischord will not try tricks on her. Is a long shot but I think that maybe things will work differently for Twilight, not a direct hack attempt but rather a disarmament of the different elements to disarm her instead(like in Nightmare moon days).

Yeah, main reason of why the mane 5 were affected by Dischord tricks in this episode while Twilight wasn't, what Dischord wanted were the elements. Which makes me think that Twilight will be the one tasked to regain them while Dischord uses them, or hide them or whatever.

And I guess that the voices will not stop, no matter what I do.​

Fluttershy was not Flutterage. She was just crazy, full stop. It didn't even have anything to do with her element.

And Dash got hurt and Fluttershy basically got her hooked on drugs accidentally.

Also, my biggest peeve with Pony Psychology was always that it basically all but said that Twilight is more important than the rest of the cast combined. I absolutely hated that, and I'm fairly certain that the show would never do a plot that implied a similar solution.
