You see this? You see what Ponies have done to me? I just replaced this, the manliest of PSPs, with this, the least manly of PSPs. Now, there were functional reasons for doing so (I know that version is the most homebrew-friendly of the PSP 3000s, rather than it being a crapshoot), but I also wanted it because I find the color quite pretty.

You see, now that you can install permanent CFW on nearly all of them (including the Go), I don't think that is true anymore. I want that better screen, I want the better build quality that 3000s have, and I want to get one that isn't going on 4 years old as all of the easily-hackable 2000s are.

Two reasons:

• The shell isn't the problem. The screen dying is, and there is something drastically wrong with the MS reader. It makes playing the big monster MVS games like Garou and KoF 2000 annoying as hell because the graphics corrupt sometimes and go all wacky, and it outright crashes on occasion whenever I try to play the Neo Geo CD version of Fatal Fury Special.
• You know that webbing between your thumb and index finger? The last time I opened a PSP basically to do that (which, if I recall correctly, was four PSPs ago) I put a jeweler's Phillips head screwdriver through that webbing.

However, Hannah Montana?

I know of three PSPs that I can guarantee are the correct hardware revision for my needs:
The GT PSP one, the Ratchet and Clank one, and the Hannah Montana one.

The Star Wars Battlefront LE PSP was my second one after the one I had where I replaced the shell blew up, and I hated it. That white color looks like crap, light leaks through it from the LEDs and the backlight, it collects fingerprints even worse than the Piano Black ones, and it gets all sorts of dirt and dust in the cracks that shows up and you can't clean it out. I see nothing to suggest the GTPSP one wouldn't be the same way, if not worse because the screen is brighter.



And while I have a special spot in my heart for the silver PSP because my first one was a Daxter Limited Edition model before I swapped it for the transparent blue case, I need to try ALL the colours.

True, besides it has built-in mic (which I forgot). I just have a 2000 since 2008.

If I were you I try the PW one, a bit flashy but it might do (I'm not sure if it meets specifications).

Mate finishes are always better, I just got the piano black because it looks really cool (fingerprints are always annoying to clean and got all over the shell). If I ever buy a PSP again I'll buy the Yakuza ver(it screams awesomeness).

Is it strange that I actually feel nostalgic whenever I watch that video these days? It was, if I recall, the second pony video I watched way back in early March. The sheer randomness of it is what makes it so... memorable.

So, I'm not really a big fan of Trance music, and there is only a very small selection of Trance tracks that I actually like. In fact, I can only count about 5 or 6 off the top of my head right now. Then I discovered Thorinair's pony mixes a couple of weeks ago, and all I can say is that every track that he's made so far is brilliant:





I like the original mix of Beyond Her Garden, but this is way better in my opinion.

The plot thickens... And makes you forget to keep her freckles! If you wanted a clean lineart, why not just go over it with the Pen tool? If you wanted to conserve the original lineart but color it, you can use the Magic Eraser non-contiguously to get rid of the all the white in the original drawing. Then you can lock the pixels in the layer and color them as you see fit.

And after seeing several times that "Phil" image I decided to track down it's source. It turns out that is a really weird show, first episode consisted on a bunch of musculus guys with bird suits, and two guys fighting for the custody of their children.

Is brilliant actually, and I guess I'll get more into it once I get more time (on coffee breaks mostly, since its only 12 minutes long).

Colbert's Phil and Byron are pure gold. It's got to be one of the funniest things I've ever watched and rewatched over and over again. Within my group of friends, we can endlessly quote the damn show from start to finish by now.

Ah. That was my alternative idea, but in my reading I discovered that that iteration of the PSP 3000 motherboard has lower compatibility with self-made PSX games; whereas the Hannah Montana/Ratchet & Clank/GTPSP ones are identical in compatibility to the 1000/2000s.

Freckles were removed because I couldn't think of what colour to make them, basically. A painful decision, to be sure, but one I feel I had to make.

I had two ideas. One of them, the Gilda story that I had completely planned out, hasn't been done before, had started writing and even found artwork that was perfect for it, was torpedoed beyond all possible reprieve the second Heart of Gold restarted, and I couldn't bring myself to write the second one. As a result, unless I can think of some great idea, probably not.
