I'm doing the Le mans 24hr at the moment and I need to know if suspending the race cycles the UCD or not, as there's a precious Mclaren at the top of the UCD.

yes, suspending a race will still cycle the UCD

Can anyone else confirm this?
Does it cycle after each save?

Bump!
Noticed my backup has X days, and my current save has 1 day more, and my current car was the Speed 8 and both were today, so I guess it cycles days as you quit. I'm not sure if it actually cycles the UCD though, I only remember it cycling once or twice.

It doesn't cycle when you quit, but rather, when you enter.

Instances where the UCD cycles:

When you join an online lobby: YES
When you select any event in GT Life: YES
When you select any event from standard Seasonal Events: YES
When you select Time Trial and Drift Trial Seasonal Events: NO
When you race/do time attacks/drift in a custom track from the Course Maker: NO
When you race/do time attacks/drift in any course in Practice Mode: YES

You should also remember that, once you're in a race event and you cleared the race, if you start the race again the UCD will cycle. For example, Seasonal Events 430PP FF Challenge, Cape Ring Periphery. You wanted to earn big bucks so you race there. Entering the event WILL CYCLE the UCD. After winning the race, you can choose to start the race again or leave. Starting the race again WILL CYCLE the UCD.

But when you SUSPEND the race does it cycle?

Yes, as you will have to start the race again once you suspend the race.

Damn, hopefully the McLaren will reappear, as some cars seem to appear twice.

But I'm SUSPENDING the race!!
I think what they are trying to tell you is that, since you are SUSPENDING it. You will have to re-enter your suspended race when you turn your ps3 back on which will cause the UCD to cycle. I'm not sure myself since I've never used the Suspend feature since I finally figured out a fix for my broken ass game after months of not playing it.

Now I see...

I'm not sure that's what the were saying. What I took from it was that the cars only cycle when you START the race. Seeing you're resuming and not restarting from the start, it shouldn't affect the cycle.

Someone jump in if I'm misinformed.

Hit the Marketplace up for a level 23 ticket and, assuming you have a flash drive, run that ticket until the BMW McLaren F1 GTR is awarded. I know it's off-topic but it'll get you the car without waiting for it to come back around in the UCD.

Each time you resume a suspended race, the track and cars are loaded just like when you first start the race. This counts as a new race day and cycles the UCD. I just verified this by doing the Indy 500 race. I suspended and resumed the race 3 times. After completing the race, I checked the UCD and it had been cycled 4 times (initial race start and 3 resumes).

Ok, thanks. I'll check the UCD search when I'm done.
