Explain how please.
I support this message. I'd say borderline is being nice.Eleanor is so ugly... borderline rice IMHO.
Explain how please.
Just look at it, especially the front end. Blue lights? Please.
It's a pile of junk, there are SOOOO many other Mustangs of that vintage that look MUCH better.
Anyone with me? No? Really?
Seriously though, I always envied Ford EU for putting out respectable hatches, and this seems to be their best example in a while.
If it was a BMW 328 that someone gussied up into an M3 it would be called rice, so why is it that a Mustang gussied up into a molested GT500 isn't?Sooooo blue lights that shine white mean it's rice?

Not even close.Eleanor is so ugly... borderline rice IMHO.
There's a difference. Nobody has stripped a 328 to its chassis, repaired it, and then built a brand new car on top of it.If it was a BMW 328 that someone gussied up into an M3 it would be called rice, so why is it that a Mustang gussied up into a molested GT500 isn't?

While I'd love to nominate the Termi, I gotta go here.
1987-1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0

Why would I nominate this? Easy! It's THE cheapest Mustang to build, parts are absolutely everywhere, Cobra IRS bolts right up, and there's no limit to what they can do. Stock 5.0 blocks would crack around 500 RWHP, but picking up a readily available forged shortblock solves this. There's no power ceiling, it's the lightest modern Mustang, and they are easily had for under $3,000 USD
I quite like the Mk6 Fiestas actually, though if my housemate's Mk6 is anything to go by, they're equally as disposable as the Mk4/5s. Incidentally, we both have the same model - a 1.3 8v Finesse. His is the Mk6 version and mine's the Mk4.
But styling wise I prefer the Mk6 to the Mk7, just as I prefer the previous gen Mondeo to the current one, the previous gen Focus to the current one and the previous gen Ka to the current one. Ford may be building their cars better but they're building them uglier too, IMO.
Though I see you mention the Mk5 Jon, so I feel I have to chuck this car into the thread too as one of my favourite Fiestas - The Mk5 Zetec S. Used various parts from the Puma, which was always a good move. In return, the Puma got the Fiesta's 1.6 Zetec engine to slot in below the 1.7 in the range. As you'd expect from a small, late 90s Ford, it handles excellently:
*snip*
If I wasn't so set on getting something more substantial like a BMW or a Civic then I'd be quite tempted by a Zetec S.
While I think on, here's one we almost forgot:
*snip*
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that these get better looking with age? It's just a pity that so few seem to be completely standard any more.
Why hasn't this had a full mention yet?
