Since several members are making ultimate *insert manufacture here* car threads, I thought I'd have a go as well. This time, it's Nissan.

For my personal favorite, it's gotta be the R92CP.

Was the R390 ever sold to the general public? The engine was pretty low powered in road trim too.

I thought at least 25 example had to be on the road in order for the race car to enter

From wiki:

Only 2 R390 road cars were ever built, and one is stored at Nissan's Zama warehouse ( This one is currently for sale ). The street-legal road car is capable of running 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds, And 0-100 mph in just 6.8 seconds. the 1/4 mile is accomplished in just 11.1 at 134 mph (216 km/h). And on to a top speed of 220 mph (350 km/h).

I'm not sure if rules were changed around that time. Anyway, R390 GT1's racing history was rather short.

In GT4 doesn't it have less than 300kw? No matter what weight it is, I highly doubt those performance figures quoted by wiki, mainly the top speed.

That said, the ultimate Nissan is the R35 GTR (somebody had to say it :p). Only because Nissan is about being a techno geek, and the GTR has enough computing power to take down the US Defence Network.:p

I'm not a Nissan man either, so I'd take the R31 Skyline Sedan and soup it up.

RWD, RB30E engine, swap over the heads and make an RB30DET, and doesn't that body just beg for a decent body kit and paint and rims? You'd get a lot of satisfaction turning something so crappy into something so decent.

R35. since it's actually faster around racetracks than the R390GT1 road car. and I'm a nerd

and I don't see why that's such a bad thing.

Being a nerd isn't a bad thing, at least you know what you want.👍

It's got to be the R32 Skyline GT-R. The first Nissan that really make people sit up and take Nissan seriously as a performance car manufacturer outside of Japan.

To me, the Maxima has always been the best overall car they've built. Style, performance... The whole "4DSC" mentality. Too bad its been thrown away recently.

This is, by far, their fastest (best) road car ever:

Just look at the figures...no need to argue :sly:.

But my GT4 love is this one:

I just adore (in GT4 at least...) the way it handles, its speed, its looks, its sound, its...everything!!! I LOVE THE JGTC Xanavi Nismo GTR!!!! :dopey:

While Brad may be right about the Maxima I have to vote for...
