He might be, but I think the ugly 4r53 rims are a part of the sleeper image. 19" with the grippiest rubber available might spoil the phun a bit

It's not that ultimate... you can see the brakes through the wheels, and it's just too clean not to attract any attention.

Well unless you're an assclown of a racer, and can't see those brakes through the knockoff Nissan SE-R rims....and the huge SHO on the side, then you deserve to get smoked....otherwise, not a bad car...not the greatest sleeper, but not a bad car IMO.....a impala makes a better sleeper.

A WRX wagon (white) with soccer mom stickers and a 2.5L transplant and a fat turbo setup. Stock everything on the outside, but hide a FMIC in the front and slap the scoop-less 2.5RS hood on the front.

Hmm, my ultimate dream sleeper... maybe a 5th gen Accord sedan with a turbo H22a between the front fenders, completely stock outside, all the way to the hubcaps... Or an old Chevy Malibu wagon with an LS6.

Well a 5th gen Turbo accord is pretty damn common, so HOPEFULLY it isnt a dream forever....but atleast you didnt say prelude.

My Dreaam Sleeper = Evo VI TME w/ a Mirage front end, and mirage badges....I'd never do that if I had a TME...but you know..

No need for big rim's, just *quality one's.

The American Racing wheel's would throw me off. I wonder why he doesn't have a pic of a timeslip or dynosheet.. I'll ask him..

That sounds good, except I'd prefer the wagon which I think is better looking than the sedan.

To bad he didnt post any times with it. You know its hard to believe someone who does "SO" much to there car and have never raced it at the track or done a test and tune. Im sure it pulls like a raped ape after the 1000' mark after it gets traction

Yea im not too convinced or impressed. In my eyes I still think the best sleeper is a Mitsu Galant VR-4. 4 door grocery gettin' sedan with AWD and AWS with a 4G63 and electronic ride control.

But the wagon weighs quite a bit more, so we'd need more power to offset the difference. Either way, the guy in the 5.0 would never see it coming.

what? no vtec or trd stickers? haha jk. not the best sleeper... a friend of mine has a 86 crx that looks like its about to fall apart. it looks like its been rear ended at about 10mph so the bumper hangs to one side, hasn't been washed in years, and passenger door handle was ripped off, and there are dents all over the car. between the fenders is a blown and sleeved b18b, FMIC, that runs 9psi daily... he gets laughed at by people who dont know him

I did a quick check using autotraders car info search thing, it says that there's only like a 200 pound increase from the sedan to the wagon. Well, if you can put an "only" in front of a 200 pound increase in weight

edit: An even better sleeper would be a 91 AWD Civic wagon with like a B16, or whatever engine you feel like sticking in it. I've actually seen one of the old Civic wagons with an engine swap out racing, it's pretty entertaining to watch.

The civic beagle may be AWD butNONE of the drivetrain works with the B16.....it'll break into pieces, not to mention the sleeper will be more of a fast pile of crap once it's running..not a sleeper....it'll still be loud and ugly...just fast.....I'd personally go for that AWD project car integra one of the mags is finishin up on....

Geo Storms are the ultimate sleeper. Yeah, laugh all you want, but then consider that they only weigh 2,400lbs stock, and consider that you can also unbolt 600 pounds of that without a problem (It'll be lovely when my brother and I make polycarbonate side windows and rear hatch, that'll be another 150+ pounds easy). Then consider that you can pull 200hp out of the 1.6 SOHC without going turbo (Which is around 90hp stock). Not to mention what would happen with a turbo 1.8 DOHC GSi motor in a 1,600 pound car running 300+ hp.

my ultimate sleeper would be, heh, one project I hope to get realized some time, a 1982 Ford Fairmont wagon, with a centrifugally blown or turboed, stroked 5.0 underhood, and a six speed. obviously, nothing on the outside that would reveal its real nature, even tucking one of the two exhaust pipes closer to the body and paint it black so it wouldnt be noticeable, stock 14 inch magnesium wheels, beige or maybe black paint with wood plastic imitation , stock bench seat interior, with the tach replacing the clock and other such cool stuff. 500 horsepower, 600 lbft, 6 speeds, and not one trace on the exterior, save for maybe a change in the lettering, from fairmont to "fearmont"
