:guilty: Then for me, it's the M3 GTR. Not really a production car, but it was a great concept.

The baby e30. This thing is a great introduction car to motorsports. They're all over the grassroots scene, and for good reason. They're solid, the 318's are nice and light, they retain some of the driving spirit of the M3 ringleader. And in my opinion they look better than the M as well...

Indeed, the 318is is known as the "baby M3" - I don't know if you were referring to that particular model but the picture you've chosen looks similar - and the car below is definitely an "is".

I agree that they're one of the best looking E30s, and certainly more accessible than the M3. The one above was one I saw for sale at £1500 - you'd struggle to get any M3 for that.

You're kidding, right? The M3 Evo model has a lap record at Tsukuba of 1:07.54. It comes close to the R32 Skyline GT-R V-Spec, SLK55 AMG, '05 M6, C63 AMG, IS-F, M3 CSL, R33 Skyline GT-R, NSX Type-S, Cayman S, & 370Z.

All these cars are under 1:06.54, making the M3 just a second or, mainly under, within these cars.

Of the cars it is faster than, the E36 M3, '01 111R, Lancer Evo GSR X, RS4 (B7), & 135i Coupe.

I don't see how anyone can't find the E30 M3 to be an impressive machine in any form.

I was talking about the regular M3, not the Evos, by the way. You can't really compare the E30 M3 Evo to the E36 M3, it'd be like comparing a GD STI to a GR WRX. I don't find the E30 M3 interesting in any way, get your head around that!:sly:

wow... 38 replies in less than 24 hrs? mmm... seems to be some consensus... e39 m5 or e30 m3... i stick to my original. m3 csl ftw.

and whoever posted about the m3 gtr? it WAS a production car. they made like 10 and sold them at some exorbitantly high price.

You said Ultimate Driving Machine? I'm thinking of this:

Can you be more ultimate?

that is pretty damn cool... but for the geniuses who thought it would be funny to post an f1 car and the bike, thanks.

All the good ones have been posted. E30 M3, 3.0 CSL, 635csi, 2002 turbo.

Also saw my first F01 750 today, looks good in black but the grill is way too big and has an ugly grey bar going from side to side in the front.

(Hint: the motorcycle is a BMW)

The F1 car however isn't, so methinks orimarc missed the idea of the thread :p

Wow...I had never known that's actually what that was...I thought it was just a complete one-off by Hotwheels, not a modified (understatement of the year award right there) bubble car.

At least you could have posted a BMW F1 car. But no, you chose Honda. :dunce:

Loophole of win.

Not. The word "ride" simply refers to the seating position.

I don't know about in the U.S, but in the U.K if you said 'I drive a motorcycle' you'd either get correct or attract some funny looks.

according to the microcar museum in madison, georgia where it now resides, it has a 730hp supercharged chevy 502 and apparently it can throw flames out 4ft :p

way to find the loophole... the bike counts, but the brawn car? no.

i can't say i don't want one of those insane modded fire-spitting isetta thingies, but imagine the ride and the handling! sick car, but is it really the ultimate driving machine?
