I think it's great. The only thing missing is a better price for selling cars. Maybe PD should increase the sale price up to 50% of the cars value. This will make it alot easier to get the expensive cars without dupe....

I'm floored. A thread about liking the update. The first one I have seen. Don't expect the thread to be so positive, with all the negativity floating around the forums focused on the update, however.

With that being said, I don't like or hate it. It doesn't really affect the way that I played. The only thing I don't like, is the fact is now trading limits have to limited to the PS3, not the account. This has affected me, as my girl and kids all have their own accounts and play GT5. Can't they can't deal a car if I already had. Other than that, I don't dupe, so I don't care. Just my two cents.

EDIT: I do love the addition of the gold chrome!

I rather like this update too. Don't see what all the fuss is about trading this and that. It certainly says "Gift to Friend" and not "Trade with Friend". As nice as it would be to give friends awesome cars to roll, being able to recover the car sent isn't really giving. Though it is unfortunate for those who has cars stuck on their friend's accounts due to lending before the car sharing system was implemented.

why use 2 cars the exact same? if i want to do anything then it is add miles to 1 of them to get a gift ticket.. oh wait dam i have 999km driven.. know what i'll start using the 1 with 2 km driven!!!

I don't know why you would either. I wouldn't. I literally just tossed a duplicate Jaguar XJ13 away because I feel the same thing. (No duping, had a friend send me one, not knowing that you earn from the INDY 500.) But I couldn't figure out what to do with it now, as I was going to put it the marketplace tomorrow. Oh well.

But I know other people to like to compare certain tunes in same car vs. same car, or set up one for this race, and this one for another.

i have indeed used that method but not for racing. i've used it for cars for drifting (Nissan 370z/Z34) but not expensive cars. that car can be bought for 30k so thats no big deal but when i get another 1000km ticket of say, Minolta 88CV. WTF? i have this already where i WON it so why would i want another... fair enough people luike to compare but instead i'd rather give it away to a friend in need, which is a friend indeeed

I do the exact same thing. Give one to my girl, (an avid GT'er,) but that's gone now. I bought a Toyota 7 race car and planned on giving the gift from 24hrs. of Le Mans. Oh well.

Such genius irony, to make a thread saying they need to increase the price of cars you sell, and then to suggest selling them for nothing.

How about they just give every car a price, so they're not worthless (in every sense)?
