there is nothing legendary about the McLaren F1
and it doesn't even come close in beating the veyron in a half mile drag

You Sir, are an idiot. The McLaren F1 isn't a car I particularly love, but I respect it immensely. For its achievements, it's purposeful, focused design, for the quality of its construction. You cannot call yourself a car enthusiast without doing the same.

+1 And who actually cares if it isn't faster in a drag race, I'm sure that was the last thing they were concerned about..

The F1 was the Veyron of it's day. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, though, just different.

Can't wait to see what McLaren's got up their sleeve for the F1's successor.
The F1 is an amazing car , as for the Veyron its just goes fast , its handling is nothing special. So comparing the two as equal is very ignorant.

lol I don't know if you're trying to make a joke or are just ignorant.
A statement like that pretty much says you don't know anything about cars.

And why is the Veyron being compared to the mclaren in this thread. Ones a 4wd and the others a MR.

The Veyron is an egotistical machine. Brute force is its pride. It's sole purpose is to beat roadcar speed records.

The mclaren has finesse, power, amazing cornering. The perfect supercar.

It was just a free run circuit on Trial MTN. I didn't even hit anyone by mistake. I was just cruising it. I agree with many people. Personally I dislike the Veyrons looks as well. I think you give anyone 1,400,000 dollars that they could make a Golf go 250 mph. I mean isn't that pretty much what a Henessey Venom is?

So yes I can understand in some cases, I just felt like it'd been really antagonized in a situation where it shouldn't have been, that was my thoughts on what happened to me atleast.

I don't mean to be rude, but you really need to get over it. It's not a big deal.

You are one of the reasons the Veyron has a bad rep......

Its this closed narrow-minded viewpoint that makes me laugh.

I think you should think before you write, the post above you insulted me, where this has nothing to do with the topic!
I gave an opinion on a car, and with that you do not need to give an opinion on me, because I gave facts and you did not like them!

I think if I am, then you are one of so many why the McLaren F1 is so overrated...!

anyway, ontopic, this topic was on the Bugatti Veyron, not the McLaren F1!

Exactly. Would you take a 90-degree turn at 100 MPH in a Elise? No. Then why would you want to do it in a Veyron?

And I'd like to get into some clean online Veyron races. Nobody would ever even think of doing it though, because they've brainwashed themselves into relating the Veyron with rammers.

This would be very fun, someone should create this for the online competitions forum. I would but I have trouble finding time to get on as it is.

Because it is a priza car at a low level, but still insanley quick, it would be classed as a "noob" car.

Same goes with the minolta and the x1 s vettel.

I wouldn't really call the Minolta a 'Noob' car, mostly because any noob that got a hold of it would be sent spinning fairly easily.

Comparing the Veyron to the F1 is unwise if you ask me... and comparing them just with a drag race is even more unwise...:dunce:

These 2 cars are on 2 very different leagues... the Veyron is a grand tourer that gets to +400 kmh with style and luxury  and the F1 is the definition of the ultimate road legal race car...

Both are impressive machines, and both get my respect, but I would choose the Veyron over the F1 any day... 👍

At least in real life, most of us could actually drive a Veyron. I'd bet that most of us can't drive a real F1 car.

Uh you know they're comparing it to the McLaren F1, not a Formula car, right?

I think he meant the McLaren F1 :)

@Jubby: And that's another reason why I find the Veyron so incredible... It's not just pure muscle, like some people say... ;)

I don't think so, he said "a real F1 car" sounds more like a real Formula car, whereas if he meant the McLaren, I feel he would have said "A real F1". Maybe it's just the way I'm reading it. Either way it's confusing me lol.

I'd be up for it. I would call it something like Le Club Pinnacle: Élite de l'Élite. (the pinnacle club: elite of the elite) Only the most expensive road cars would be allowed.
