I had the same problem with the trash can. But I was able to lift it when I got the beer from the fridge. I left it in there to keep it cold, but with no luck lifting the trash can.

I'm playing the Crimson Room and I can't go to the URL. Does that site have the combo to the safe? I have an empty cd case, a black key and the paper with a url that I can't read.
 
Actually, I tried it with the beer in hand, and it didn't work. I figured it out though. But I've still got other stuff to do, because it's telling me "I can almost feel the dead person's spirit".
 
The link gives me 6366. The code however only appears to work on the Japanese version of the Crimson Room.
 
I GOT OUT OF THE CRIMSON ROOM! The combo 7043 worked for me, but I had to play the game over from the start for some reason. I wont spoil it for you but in the safe is the last item you'll need.

OK, I need help - I got the object under the trash can once. Then I had to quit the site, and when I came back, I needed to do it all over again. Now, it won't let me lift the trashcan up to get that object back. It keeps playing the clue music every time I look into the empty can, but no matter where I click, I can't get the can to pick up.

I think I have all the other objects I had before, except the one from under the can. Any idea how to make the can lift up? Thanks.

What you have to do is go complete some of the other tasks before you go back and try to get the lighter, such as unlock the legs or maybe even placing something up on the dresser. Try placing the cold beer on the dresser and then coming back to the fridge. You'll know you've done enough when there is a different camera angle of the fridge.
 
It's on the side of the bed. Face the red wall and click the little purple sliver of carpet in the bottom left.


So I've got the screwdriver now, but I can't read a damn thing they're saying...what do I do?

I watched the movie and i clicked where he was pointing and it took me to the safe then i clicked out so i could read the piece of paper and now i cant get back to the safe. Everytime i click the spot while its playin it exits the spot and puts me infront of the radio.
 
Ok, If I'm not mistaken, somebody(Attila_Da_Hun to be exact) listed the exact URL right here...

What you do is wait for the guy to finish and then you click the spot where the little + symbol was. Then go to the safe, then switch back to another window with the address on it get the combination, switch back, input the code, and then put the key in. Be wary that if you don't click right on the item the first time you click, it will take you back and you will have to repeat the process over again.

Also the code ONLY WORKS FOR THE JAPANESE VERSION!! So it seems that you'll have to go back and redo everything in Japanese, which is where I currently find myself stuck at; Using the screwdriver in the Japanese version(Because if it ain't obvious by now, I can't read Japanese.).

Try the 6068 combo. I bet it works.

Look at the door, tap at the door knob a few times for a new angle of the door. You should be looking down at the knob. Use the screwdriver to take off the door knob.

I just replayed the game, and I did it in 2:10! the old combo still worked! Oh. and I played the English version.
 
Two things...

First off, the combination worked in the English Version this time!!

Second, I GOT OUT FINALLY!!

(And just as I figured out what to do, you posted the same exact thing. Thanks anyways Solid Lifters)


I don't think I've ever thought so much in my life. But overall, that was a fun game.
 
Um...there's one under the meet, one under the shoes, one at the very top of the dresser on the left section of it, one on the lamp at the very top(at one of the angles), there's another one at that same angle but rather on the wall, and another one under the brown "pillows?".
 
grrrrr...this is soooo annoying... I've got all 6 symbols, i've got the dice thing, and the hair paper and placed the cold can of beer with all the other items onto it as well...yet I STILL can't pick up the bloody trash can :irked:
