I`m surprised no one have asked this question!? But could someone with the game post some screens/photomodes/videos of this wonderful classic? It would make me VERY happy!!

I believe there's at least one photomode picture of it in the screenshots section of this site. I'd check there first. Not sure though.

didn't know if i should start a new "volvo" thread....if you guys are interested, here are some of my S60 shots. The 240 is WAAAAAY too slow to nurburgring lol. maybe after i upgrade the 240 i'll give it a try, but for now, here's the S60 on nurburgring

^some detail around the wheel...you can see the calipers...don't recall if that was the case in GT3...

^BMW building...i was trying to see if i could sneak through the break in the barriers after this shot, but no such luck haha :)

Nice pictures. Too bad you can't go through those bariers. It looks like Nurburgring GP track is almost done :D

Just wondering: is the S60 also available in other colors? only seen screenshot of a dark blue one so far....

And can you buy other wheels on it? or is it like BMW in GT2 on which you could not buy new wheels?

Thank you very much for the pictures....im really looking forward to taking the 240 and tuning it to the max :dopey:

Only the engine though; the rest of the car will be completely stock....

Does the 240 come in a red colour as well?

It is in the used (Old Timer) list, when you have a status change (won some points, bought a car or etc), the colours of the cars may change, and the list will also change, if it is still in the list, you might be able to pick up a red one.

My friend has got a Volvo 850 with a V6, Twin Turbo, 4WD and 300HP. That would be great fun on GT4. It does 60 in 7.4 seconds.
Well thats something new to me, I thougth they only made 850 with 5 cylinder engine och FWD. Is your friends car some kind of hybrid?

On topic: Love the Volvo 240. MORE PICS!!

Huh? a 4WD 850? Which model was it when it was stock?

My bro had a 850R. FF Turbo-Charged @ 250 HP Stock.

Well, its a bit of a Limited Edition special I think. It's definitely got a V6 and 4WD as there's 2 exhausts and it says AWD on the back. Looks brilliant in black, makes a great sound and certainly shifts.

Okay, then the only possibility is that it was the 850 Wagon

As far as I know there is no such thing as a stock 850 with a V6 engine. Now I may be wrong with this as my assumption that the T in GLT stood for turbo  but the 8'5'0 is a clue to the number of cylinders as is the 2'4'0. I.e. 850s are 5 cylinders where as the 240 is 4 cylinder (Whereas a 260 is 6 cylinder). Also a twin turbo V6 850 with 4wd & 300hp should be faster 0-60 than 7.4sec! 7.4 sec is similar to the 0-60 of the standard 850 T5(225HP?) I think. Whereas the T-5R (240HP?) & R(250HP?) are closer to to 6.5secs.

As for the drivetrain, there is an AWD 850 & I think the 850 R is AWD too.

Nice pics! :)

The 850R is FF, only the wagons have AWD. So yea, I find a V6 850 kinda hard to believe.

Yep, it's definitely an estate. I haven't asked him if its a V6 but I found details of a similar car on the internet showing a V6 but some showed 5 cyl. Anyway, you know more than me, just a point of interest.

never heard of an V6 850......

As far as I know they were only sold with 5cylinder engines ;)

AWD was indeed an option.

@duhuh: stupid me, totally forgot about hat red S60, thanks for clearing that up

2 tail pipes not necessarily mean V6 engine.

If that 850 Estate had V6 engine, it would gave to be changed from other car, which would include A LOT of work...

Don't forget that it would be almost impossible to mount a V6 inside an 850 (sedan or wagon) because the 5 cyl engine is mounted left-right instead of north-south, to improve packaging and crash test results. Mounting a V6 left-right in the nose of an 850 iwould require a bespoke front end + transmission.

Sorry for being off-topic.

On topic: Can you change the wheels on the Volvos? And can you throw a few spoilers on your Volvos for us? That would make my day...
