I do get how the zombies are so strong. They have such low muscle mass yet somehow can literally rip open people. Another thing I don't get is how people even become zombies. When someone gets killed by one the zombies eat the person and basically tear them up. So how can there be so many zombies when the other zombies always eat all the people they kill.

Also Carl is crazy. He doesn't care anymore and is immune to the murders. Next season will be funny when he grows up in real life and is like randomly another foot taller yet in the show it will have been like a month later lol.

I was thinking that myself, wouldn't a half-rotten, shriveled up person be light? & therefore easy to throw off/away from oneself. Oh well, tonight's episode was great, & they had Scott Ian on the Talking Dead.. I thought that was cool. :dopey:

This almost makes me want to stop watching the show, I was hoping it'd be similar to the comic, even with the added characters that aren't there.

This. I really liked that character. Horrible death too.
Well, you can't say that Dale didn't have any guts. :sly:

Carl instantly shot up to the top of my list of bothersome characters with his part in the death of Dale.

I actually found Dale to be a bothersome character, but I did feel bad for him and the way it ended. Pretty crazy episode... Can't wait for the next one!

I wish Carl died, so annoying. I actually missed Dales death because my stream just cut off. Then I read next weeks episode synopsis and ruined it for myself. I shall watch it tonight.

Who else thinks that Daryl will become the new "Group Leader"? I say this because most of the shots that Rick does that show he's a team leader (Like when he shot the little girl) are shown looking down the barrel of the gun. This time Rick couldn't kill Dale so Daryl got the gun instead and it showed the same camera angle.

I dont think group leader so much, but i agree he is definately going to polarize in one direction and become something else to the group. he's too unstable, but at the same time, reliable. i think he is my favorite character, because he's such a mixed bag and has a wide range of feelings that he keeps hidden. also i cant think of the actors name that plays him is a great actor and he is perfect for the role (also he was great in boondock saints).

I'm not sure Daryl will become leader now.... I'm curious to see how Shane will be in the coming episodes since he practically never gets his way and I feel he's likely to snap at any time. Also I think Rick couldnt kill Dale because of the irony of the situation... They we're going to kill the kid first, Dale protested and in the end Dale is the one that has to be shot...

Man I can't believe they killed Dale. I honestly did not see that one coming. A lot of the other characters either let their emotions cloud their judgement or shoot first and ask questions later. Dale was like the dependable voice of reason. Hopefully Carl will stop trying so hard to be a tough guy now. He's really getting on my nerves with that stupid, macho attitude he has. Always saying he's not scared, wanting to be involved in everything that's going on, mouthing off to Carol, telling his father to shoot Randall when I know he couldn't have done it himself. He couldn't even shoot the zombie that was stuck by the river.

I know! It shows that the virus is actually airborn, and you have to die for it to take over.

I didn't think that Shane would snap like that. I think Lori didn't help apologizing though.

Next episode will be great. A zombie war, as well as Hershel saying he'll go down in a last stand, wow! (I hope not though, I like Hershel) I didn't like Carl last episode, but now I do. Not as much as Daryl (Which I wonder how he made it through the mess of zombies) but I do like him a lot. Nice shot too!

Ya that ep was awesome. I don't think they will explain how the people actually get the virus. I read online a long time ago that they planed on everyone having the virus and it looks like its true. It explains how people actually become zombies since it can't be all from bites. If it was all the people would be torn apart making it impossible for them to actually function due to zombies eating them. Next ep looks awesome too with the huge zombie attack. I kind of think just driving away would be easier. I'm sure their are farms everywhere to live in.

This episode was absolutely insane. I never EVER expected Rick to do such a thing. Also, airborne virus ftw. Next episode is gonna be headblowing.

Best episode ever.

I was thinking. Anyone else remember when one of the writers went on The Talking Dead and told everyone that we would find out what Dr. Jenner whispered into Rick's ear at the first season's finale?

I'm guessing it was something along the lines of "You're all already infected."

He probably knew about the thing where people become walkers without having been bitten.

:scared: Conspiracyyy...

That was a nice shot from Carl.

Yeah, definitely a "Hollywood" shot. I'd like to see a fully grown person take that shot having never fired a handgun in anger.

I am going to take a guess and say that Hershel dies too, and i dont think the farm will survive either. i think that storyline has run its course there. i think they will find a new destination to head for next season, probably back towards a city for rations/supplies or a new hope.

Possible spoiler alert. They say that a decent amount more do not leave the farm. Here are my guesses. Maggie, Hershel, the Hershel son kid, and the black guy.

I finally got around to watching the last episode, & all I can say is wow. Possible the best one yet! Dale & Shane in 2 episodes. dang.

I can't believe it's the season finale already though. :indiff: For some reason this brings to mind 'Night of the Living dead', huge hoard of zombie, boarded up, isolated house.. (And it's at night) :D I can't wait. Looks to be good!

So does anyone else think Daryls brother Mearle is going to come back into the series? I have this weird feeling that he is with the other group where Randall came from... Not sure, but would be one hell of a twist in this Finale :)

Good episode. Carl has finally done something useful. Also looks like the virus is airborne and that the living humans are infected with it.

I was hoping that Randall wouldn't be killed but with Shane around everyone and everything dies. I was so happy when Shane died though. (and died again ) He went past crazy a long time ago and had to be dealt with. Oh and as much as i dislike Andrea, that pitchfork kill in the beginning was cool.

Season finale is going to be crazy. The farm will be abandoned. At this point it has to be. shmogt I think Maggie might leave with the rest of the group but it's pretty much a given that Hershel and probably the rest of his family will go down trying to defend the farm to the last bullet. I can't wait!

As for Merle showing up, I doubt it, but crazier things have happened in tv shows before.

Serious I kind of think the same. Either he's with them or they just randomly toss him in one day. He has to come back tho it doesn't make sense they would develop a character so much, have him disappear, have him be seen in a dream thing by his brother and not have him return. When he will return idk.

I didn't consider the virus being airborne when thinking about the preview for the upcoming show. I kind of figured that the knife that Rick used on Shane had zombie blood on it, from when they killed the zombie that killed Dale. An airborne virus makes sense but how did it get that way? Far as I know it hasn't been mentioned as a possibility. Remember when they were at the CDC or wherever that was in the first season? Did that one doctor dude mention it could be airborne? Either way can't wait to see the finale!

edit: just read a post above this one about what Jenner said to Rick. Perhaps the airborne thing is correct. We shall see.
