The whole show isn't one 50 min presentation, there'sgoing to be plenty of chance for new info to emerge and probably more intricate dfetails thana presentation will give from interviews and on the floor actual time with the games.
Indeed. Patience!

For as long as its taking them to get GT5 out it better be frickin fantasic!!

You better belive it should be. >.<

O and. few more hours he said, I'll beilve him till the Gamescom is COMPLETLY over.

Some people here.. sjees.

Get a grip, you expect everything will be shown, and when it's just a trailer it's not good enough.. when they have playable pods with GT5 it's not good enough, when gamescom has JUST started and in the first few hours of it there is not GT5 talk, it's all over and people cry themselves to sleep... lol.

Again, patience.. and for god's sake, at least WAIT till it's over.

Those few hours have past, and we know nothing more. Do you have an explaination?
We know something, GTPSP is free if you register your PSP GO between 1st and 10th October. The show isn't over and there amy well be some proper GT5 information to come. Either way Amar doesn't write Sony's script and if he's heaerd a buzz that some info is coming and it doesn't it's not his fault, he's been right countless times in the past and could still be right this time, in way he was since the GT PSP free announcment was made and that's a big announcment for people thinking of buying a PSP GO.

Everyone who's had a go at Amar needs to log off and come back later or tomorrow, and when they've come back apologise. He's been nothing but good to this community even if info YOU wern't expecting doesn't turn up.

There's still some hope of getting new info. The gamescom isn't over yet and GT5 will maybe be playable on the floor.

I'm affraid that something like GT5 wont be "just there". If it is they will surely announce it in a conference up in front. Guess those racing seats are there just to play Prologue again.
And no i'm not turning against Amar or anyone else. I'm jsut saying that if you have no idea what Sony or PD is doing either, just dont pretent like you do. Half of the PS3 owners think that GT5 is being released this year because of this thread, and so far it seems like Amar doens't know much more than we do.

Amen. The people on this board have a stunning lack of patience. You're all upset and ready to snap now, but you are the ones responsible for letting your imaginations run wild. Amar only said that we'd see something in the next few hours, and we certainly got that.

Plus, GT5 is apparently playable, which if so almost every major game site is going to have articles up in a heartbeat. So just chill out guys, it's just a video game after all.

Amar is not a super person for crying out loud, people need to be patient and wait for footage to be shown on the floor and more details, stop babbeling and shouting at each other for info.

After 5 years, I don't blame them though.

Agreed. They could be playing with a new track or cars. I doubt it, but it could be a possibility.

I agree, im disappointed though, the conference was way too short and GT5 is the biggest franchise from Sony and especially in Europe. Showing it on the Press Conference wouldve been a logical move. They actually only showed 2 heavy hitters: Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2.

PSN Cards are incredibly awesome though and the Slim just as expected.

Fair enough, I get that people would be frustrated, I'm annoyed too, but I don't feel like snapping at a forum poster who has done nothing but good for us just because I misinterpreted what he said. Sure we have to wait longer, but that doesn't really give us a reason to start shouting "CURSE YOU AMAR!" like lunatics. I just think we should chill out.

The winds have started to fart my in the face.

There's a time in ones life where he has to...

on twitter, that guy from GTPlanet posted stuff.. why can't he get his butt up and go right away to the GT5 booth and take pics?

Amar, I am not mad at you. I will not turn on you, because you have always helped this community.

The show isn't over yet. We have all seen the GT5 racing demo units on the show floor - maybe GT5 will have a separate presser hosted by Kazunori Yamauchi that will be the culmination of all the inside information we have been hearing about.

Yeah, I was let-down by the Sony conference but the show is on for another 3 days - so something has to be mentioned - and interview with Kaz, perhaps? TGS release date confirmation maybe?

We will just have to wait.

I despise waiting, but we really don't have a choice in the matter.

Yeah, reallllllllly hope it shows up soon. :nervous:

Where did Amar give any kind of definite date? He gave us clues that we would have to interpret so that he did not violate his NDA. If you, me, and everyone else on the planet misinterpreted that it is our fault, not his.

Go back to the beginning and you can see some people interpreted it differently, to mean that he was saying it would be out next Spring.

But of course, you cannot say he was wrong, or we misinterpreted it because none of us know what the actual release date is. Until that is given you are pretending to know something (by saying the interpretation of Amar's post is wrong) when you don't.

We won't see anything new here. If it hasn't been mentioned in the press conference, you can forget about it.

We'll have to wait until TGS.

Well my worst fears were realised.

I said in a seperate thread the other day that gamescom seemed low key event compared to E3, TGS and because of this would Sony make an announcement about GT5 or wait until TGS.

After watching the liveblog it seemed very few games were mentioned and the whole Sony presentation seemed to lack content. Still this makes perfect business sense because your going to make your major announcements where the games will recieve more attention. The TGS, E3, GDC are the biggest gaming conventions but TGS, E3 are certainly more popular.

I doubt we will hear anymore news now until TGS. I reckon the playable version of GT5 that is rumoured to be at the show will actually be the special edition GT5P that you see at some events.

But it was seen at the beginning of the Show. GT5 GT5 GT5 with a list of other games.

Take a hint.

I still think something has to be revealed here.

I mean why would Sony/PD fill those demo units with GT5P and not GT5? That would be insanely stupid - marketing a 2+ year-old concept demo at a current gaming convention where they know fans are expecting GT5? Forza 3 is coming out this year and Sony needs to respond to that if GT5 really is arriving in time for this Christmas.

Are they losing touch with reality here?
