Silver may be it's 'base' or default colour in which others are layed on top of (or not if you choose silver). I hope it works like that as it will make it easy to add any colour we want.

Silver might be the base for metallic colors, because they need the shine. White is the base for solid colors, which is why cars like the F430 turn white.

I give it up. Another ridiculous "base color" theory. And Yes, silver metallic is really the base color for pastel yellow from which it changed :sly:

Drop the attitude, their is lots of 'ridiculous' theories going around, don't let them get to you.

Do you think there will be something preventing people using other peoples save files when importing cars from GT5P? For instance you could use someones save with multiple F1 cars, sell them and bankroll yourself for GT5 very easily.

Also would almost certainly think there will be a car collector trophy in GT5 for obtaining all makes of car, what other trophies do you think there will be?

I don't think that PD will let us use prologue and update it to the full version. I personaly think tgat make us all buy a “new game” is better in a economic view.
And if dynamic weather, day/night cycles is added, a guess that a lot of changes on the game engine will be needed. Can you imagine how much time will you take to download it ?

I think now all cars (in GT5P) are all base white, as there is no need to add texture layers to simulate panel gaps, headlights etc. When you choose a colour it gets layered on top of the base white, which is why sometimes due to a bug peoples cars go white when playing with quick tune.

This will also make custom paint colours and liveries a breeze.

White in games happens when there is a texture loading problem. White is the default color of the geometry. If it was blue instead, the texture (when loaded) would be tinted blue. In order to preserve natural colors white is most likely used.

This is genius
I got some of them, like the last one being GT mobile and there being 600+ cars and 80+ tracks
Other ones are far too cryptic for me

EDIT: just noticed I'm hideously late for this
Only just read the news page

I wouldn't call it late just yet. I would be more bothered to be late once the game is released, which by the time it is, I will still be playing GT4. If it were released in 2012, then maybe I could have the money to afford it. Damn Argentina! 40GB PS3 is USD 883 here!

Hmmm, the original 60GB PS3 was a cool $999 AUD down here(and you still needed to fork out for a HDMI cable and a game or two at $120AUD each and a blu-ray movie at $50AUD...thats not much change from $1400AUD and the dumbass`s at the midnight sales release`s wondered why no-one turned up and they were left standing in deserted stores next to piles of unsold PS3`s) :dopey:

A french website claims to have a reliable source stating that a PS3 and PSP price drop is imminent for early june (nicely coinciding with the E3). And according to their reliable source the PSP2 will be available before the end of the year. 👍

well I hope its not just a rumor this time!!!

did the source have any idea of the new price for early june???

Ouch. Is it difficult to import?

Not sure if difficult, but perhaps expensive. There are some places here where you can buy it at 600 dollars, but I am not very fond of them.

We could think of something, though. Perhaps a "Donation for Codename L's PS3"?

The official Google translation:

No, this is not a joke. While Sony denies all the rumors about a possible drop in price of its consoles, the speculations in question appear to confirm.

Indeed, we learned today from a reliable source (which we thank the passage) that the price of the Playstation 3 will drop. The price is still unknown, but we may assume that it will suffer the same decline as the two previous times, ie a decrease of € 100.

Other good news, the PSP should follow the path of the black monolith, since the portable console from Sony will see its price rise from € 189 to € 169, probably at the same time as the PS3. Finally, finally, our source confirms the coming of a PSP2 before the end of the year, which coincided with speculation that cross the site.

We unfortunately do not know when to take effect these changes in prices, but it may be that this coincides with E3, which runs from 2 to 4 June.

Of course, we still take this information with tongs, until Sony makes an official announcement. But remember what we said John Keller: "gonna be a huge E3"

I hope this one's true!

thanks for the info. about that "THE GRAN FINALE" . well we will just have to wait til E3 to hear more about the possible ps3 price drop and more about GT5.

I really don't believe there will be 600 cars at launch. I hope I'm wrong, but it just doesn't seem like there's been enough time for all that on top of the tracks and the rest of the game.

They have had more than enough time i think, almost 5 years to be precise. Considering that many of the cars come from previous GT games, the moddeling wouldn't be that difficult. Just the interior design and maybe, bringing up to date (with new textures and stuff) the exterior design. I bet they are going to be more than 600 cars, and i bet as well that many of them are going to be like the skylines, 25 different skylines with almost no difference whatsoever. Anyway, i am still looking forward for the E3. I wanna know everything about GT5 and when is going to be released

Cheers,

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but keep in mind that GT4 had 82 (oops, 81) tracks. Sure, that's counting all the alternate layouts of the real tracks and the reverse directions of the fictional tracks, but who's to say that PD's claim of 96 tracks isn't "skewed" like that? Of course, it would be wonderful (and perhaps slightly overwhelming at the start of the game) if there were actually 96 tracks, but I don't hold hugely high hopes for that.

Well, I doubt PD will stop with GT5. PS3 will be 3 years old in November. Say another 5 years for GT6 development. I doubt the PS3 will be around for 9 years without the next edition coming along. Depends on so much else tough, rather than time.

I don't see much point in GT6 being a PS3 game if GT5 is designed right. With the right planning and implementation new cars, tracks, events, tuning and parts etc could all be integrated into GT5's GT mode along with things like photomode locations, user interface changes and other thnigs PD might want to consider to keep GT5 fresh until GT6 is released.

But we have Amar's posts to go on. You're just being a negative nelly.👎

My last count had GT4 at 53 locales and 74 'tracks'
