It's as accurate as possible - still looking over it though to be sure. :sly:

Its not that I do not trust you, I just do not trust computers. Until I see someone who is fluent in both English and Japanese translate this, I come to no conclusions. I advise you all to do the same.

Thanks for your hard work, I would only change few things:

premium models have interior and can be damaged - 170 cars
standard cars have no interior and no damage - 830 cars

but of course interior will probably get broken too if accident occurs ;) - my comment only

cars do roll-over now
damage represented perfectly dependently on collision

no info on oil change only car wash

museum - extended version of GT5 P museum

I am not being pernickety just waned to clarify some facts (about tracks mostly).

Hope for mission mode and more premium cars in DLC (and more trophies !) bdw no info about trophies... ;)

I think the premium cars will have both interior and exterior damage while the standard ones only have extrior damage.

Also, all new PS3 games have to have trophy support.

Also, I think it may mean 20 new tracks in addition to the 60 revealed somewhere?

1000 cars (all with cockpit and maybe damage)(Ok, so there might be damage!), 170 (with damages also in cockpit)(Guaranteed to have damage as you use the interior cam) 830 (with cockpit and exterior damage, not damage in cockpit and seen since gt4)(Inside view+outside damage) (Seems contradictory.) the 170 are premium don't know what stand for maybe pay for it.

I though so but I just need some concrete evidence about this whole 1000 cars 830 cars and 170 cars with damage interior / exterior . It just doesn't make senes to fully model some cars with damage and just upscale GT4 cars to make up the remainder.

My friend says Oil Change and car Wash - I type just that. The Google translation said only Car Wash - but the original page has changed twice, so it could change again before we all go to bed tonight! :sly:

Check that out, by the way!

Great stuff.... the info is awesome and im a little worried about the cockpit stuff, i would truly hate if only 170 cars came with interior, paulpg87s theory seems more plausible..

I think all the vehicles in GT5 will have damage and cockpit view.

Hopefully that doesn't include that annoying little "feature" of making it halfway through a race and then the batteries dying. :irked:
no but when you pit for "fuel", it takes 16 hours to fill up.

b
We need to set up an endurance race between the Tesla and Veyron. The Veyron will have to pit every two or three laps but the Tesla will spend 16 hours in the pits every 100 miles or so.

This is looking to be more of just the GamesCom demo details and not of the final game. No release date is anywhere on the Japanese site or in the article

Sad thing is, not everyone wants to acknowledge this.

I friend of mine that knows japanese translated it in italian for me ( i asked to traslate only cars part) and it understood this :
1000 cars (all with cockpit and maybe damage), 170 (with damages also in cockpit) 830 (with cockpit and esterior damage, not damage in cockpit and seen since gt4). the 170 are premium dont' know what stand for maybe pay for it.

YES!!!!!👍

If 830 cars are from gt4, that means only 170 cars built in the last 5 years (including the nascars and wrc and race cars). If this is correct, wont it be a bit like playing a game from 5 years ago, example honda accord will be the 5 year old one as they will probably favour the exotic cars to make up the non race car part of the 170. Im concerned.

Am I smelling another Top Gear Challenge? 💡

:')

I have a feeling that the 170 premium cars refer to official race cars, such as Nascar, WRC, GT etc.. Licensing interior damage to those would have been easy, as they are race cars. Not sure how manufacturers will feel about interior damage with their consumer stock cars, especially with the accuracy of the damage presentation that PD will deliver, I think it would be a tough one.

Notice in the "some from GT4" the some.

Edit: I think lowmax2 might be on to something.

I addressed this before. It seems that because most cars from GT4 (there were 742, so let's assume 650 are taken to GT5) will be added to GT5, that leaves only about 180 new production cars joining the party. So it's like GT4.5 but with online and great graphics, etc, etc

^^^REGARDING THE NUMBER OF NEW CARS COMING TO GT5^^^

not a bad theory

Ok, IF there will be only 170 cars with cockpit. Then we can all agree with the sad fact that Forza 3 has beaten us, right?

I'm sure manufacturers are not going to allow their road cars to represent interior damage. I would guess / interpret the car bit as:

170 race cars with interior and exterior damage.
830 cars road cars (with cockpit view, no interior or exterior damage) (or possibly just exterior damage)

There is a lot of great info in there but let's just hang fire for an official English press release.

Afraid I'd have to agree with you there, IF this is the case I wouldn't be defending PD from the slating they would get. IF. Don't flame me.

I'm sure manufacturer's are not going to allow their road cars to suffer interior damage. I would guess / interpret the car bit as:

170 (race) cars with interior and exterior damage
830 cars road cars (with interior) but no damage (or possibly just exterior damage)

Either way, let's just hang fire for an official English press release.

This is what I believe as well.

Quote of the evening guys! 👍

Sorry to disappoint you guys but as I said before

170 cars with interior and damage and 830 with nothing - that is the correct translation of Japanese article, I do speak Japanese (not native but heading for lvl1 in far future and lvl2 next year - should be this year but I'm lazy :( ) and to defend myself - "a translation of this article" - the article might be wrong but since it is an official GT page I do not have any hopes for anything to be changed in future (that interior camera moving future is also not 100% it is "possible to be confirmed" but I am not sure if that is correct translation that is why I did not mention it before)

:cheers::bowdown::cheers::bowdown:

EDIT: This is looking to be more of just the GamesCom demo details and not of the final game. No release date is anywhere on the Japanese site or in the article, so I think it is saying that there are only 170 vehicles in the demo that feature damage and maybe some others that don't - it's very unclear and cryptic, which is odd.

There are posts on Japanese forums saying that the game is coming out in mid December - but all of that is unconfirmed
.

I just want to quote this as it seems that people haven't noticed.

well if im honest not all is lost, if they have the upgraded physics and stuff ill be happy, i dont really use the interior view that much...

but one thing to remember as some have pointed out, it could be a possibility that this only refers to the demo created for the gt5 booth at GC2009 and not the final retail version

If you refuse to consider that this only for the Gamescon build and not the fully finished version.
