Sorry, you're right, just a slip in grammar. I meant I take that to be over 20 courses. More courses = more variations.
Infineon only has 2 (Stock car and Sports car), unless you include the drag strip of course. Fuji had 4.3rd wind refers to point to point.
I can only think of a few tracks with 3 variations. Most tracks are forwards and backwards. Infineon and Fuji are a few with 3 variations, what others?
I think the 2nd one is, just looking at the series they have licensed you can get 20 easily just using them.Which translation is the right one ?
20 tracks 60 variations.
or
60 tracks 20 more to come.
IMO the second one is the right one because it wouldn't make sense to have just 20 tracks in GT5 while there are 6 tracks in GT5P and about 50 in GT4.
3rd wind refers to point to point.
AMAR212 says 20 tracks, with 60 variations. Look at 1st post.

edit- he says 20 tracks, 60 layouts... what is a layout???

It is just TOO unlikely, unbelievable, and unimaginable, that PD would release a game with only 17% on the cars having damage, or only 17% of the cars having an in-car view.
👍Also, to those complaining that 830 of the cars are coming from GT4, SO WHAT? If PD didn't re-use those 830 (which by the way, there weren't that many in GT4), you would then be complaining that "they had bla bla bla car in GT4, why isn't it in GT5?" And for those who are new to the world of videogames in general, the cars from GT4 will have GT5 quality graphics. You would think that would be obvious but I guess we have to spell it out for you since it wasn't explicitly stated in the Press Release on the Japanese site.

Me too, unfortunatly preference doesn't = truth.
guess what? got the same results. No idea where this 60 course, 20 more to come has come from.![]()
Word for word in Japanese it says:
More than 20 tracks, More than 60 layouts.
I'd take that as 20 courses such as Fuji etc, and 60 variations (Fuji GT, Fuji 90's, Fuji 80's)
True but on this one a bit of common sense should indicate that the translation of 20 courses is probably incorrect.
GT5P has 6 tracks.
We have also seen Tsukuba, Nurburgring, La Sarthe and of course the Top Gear test track. We have also seen a rally track of some description.
Here's the currently confirmed list. click
With that in mind, that leaves only 7 tracks (rally track hasn't been included in master list).
That means that PD must have had to ditch the the majority of their original tracks and real tracks. likely? no.
Added to that, why would they get the WRC licence and then only have a stage or two, it doesn't make sense.
60 sounds far more realistic using what we currently know.
How do you get anything out anything he says?
There are so many interpretations of each, hence why he can't be wrong. One of them is bound to be right.
