The engine is straight out of the Mustang GT (and not the Cobra). The exhaust is kind of crappy if you ask me. Install a catback system and you'll easily get +25-35bhp increase at the crank. How much is 5000 Canadian in USD? Oh and I'd get a 2002 P71--increase in power and has a better cam setup not to mention cruise control which mind did not have. haha
5000 Canadian is 4355.56 in Us funds. Which is still good. That's the reason why I was looking for something over 2002, the increase in power. Plus I like the look of the honey comb blacked out grill better.

Up here in Scotland on the fast winding roads towards Loch Ness there are 2 very well known traffic pursuit cars that always catch people unawares. These are a Blue Subaru Impreza and amazingly enough a Silver E39 M5 that me and my mates saw once flying by to catch a biker, we thought he was after us as we were having fun along the twisties but he just flew right by us.

My Big Bro said he never speeds past a Volvo, if he is late. Because he knows people who have been pulled over by unmarked police Volvo's.

Hehe, I had to get one they look so much more sexy with the black grille.

These are our crusty Police cars here in New Zealand. I'd never buy a used one, that's for sure.

Hell I want that, only 66,000 miles! That's pretty low for a used cop car, it's also in perfect condition as far as I can tell.

That low mileage and the fact that not only is the carpet in there but the exterior is good. Makes me think it was a Chief's car or detective. or they redid the interior.

those are the two kind of police cars in my area (obviously not those exact paint jobs)

no biggie, down the street are normal crown vics

I bought one, I loved the hell out of it. It was one of the most fun cars I've ever owned...drifting was so much fun and easy. And people will move out of your way and it's funny to see people slam on thier brakes when you are approaching. I got rid of it because I was unemployed and the gas mileage was costing me a fortune. I however WILL be buying another one this year and doing a few modifications which include; stiffer suspension, supercharger, and some minor engine tweaks.

I left my car unlocked and with the windows down...I never got broken in to or vandalized.
Dude that is awesome! 👍 I want one, I know a dealer around here selling one exactly like that, except it still has the spotlight. Over here in Portland, we have the normal Crown Vics, some Expeditions, and a Camaro. I know a guy in the Midwest who's a cop and owns an Evo. He takes the Evo racing at the track, and he has the light bars on it, it's bad-ass. Pushing 550+ whp @ 24 psi. Lol, I want a Crown Vic

Here's a few pics of Australian police cars. The most common are the Holden Commodore SS and Ford Falcon XR8, and recently they've been trying out the Falcon XR6 Turbo

Odd ones:

In New South Wales, Australia, the police around snowy areas have decided to use bright coloured police cars, as the white police cars blend in with the background, and there had been a number of accidents because motorist couldn't see the cars.

These cars are a part of a police program to try and cut down on illegal street racing. The police/government hold drag events at closed circuits that the public can join.

The prowler says something about community policing so I think it is for neighborhood watch or something like that.

Mr Deap
I really doubt the utility of using a prowler...

There really isn't any utility in a vette either (no rear seat). I believe both were privately owned by members of whatever service and "volunteered" for show purposes. Kind of a "don't mess with us look at what sports car we have" deal.

I got pulled over by a Volvo Motorway Patrol vehicle a few weeks ago and I was suprised how quick it was. Obviously I didn't try to get away from it but from it sitting in a layby to catching up with me didn't seem to take too long.

some typical brit peelers, volvo is the most common ones used

Vauxhall Astras round my area
