Yeah just wait until you do the 9 Hours of Boredom at Tsukuba!!! You'll be insane by time it's over. At least Indy can be finished in about 2 hours with an FGT.

I had a blast in the Indy 500. Drove my butt off the entire race. As he exited the pits for the last time, I cleanly overtook and held off(including some passes and re-passes) my much faster opponent for the last 10 laps or so and won by less than a second. Heart rate didn't return to normal for 20 minutes after the race. So much more fun than I expected.

So why didn't you, Wouldn't have wasted this space then :sly::)

Absolutely useless thread.

PD should have made the Indy 500 race requires to use the FGT, rather than an assortment of ALMS/Le Mans cars. It would've been a little
More authentic.

Oh yes. :)
Still takes far too much (spare) time though...

I remember the "rubber band trick" for grinding credits at one of the Indy races. Can't that trick be used for the endurance races at Indy? Just set up the controller and check progress every 15-20 minutes while you're busy doing something else that's productive? Then you won't be wasting so much spare time... just trying to help.

THe Indy 500 endurance race. Wanted to kill myself after lap 20

I thought it was OK, did with a recording of the actual 2011 race playing nearby. For the ambience, andvyes use a FGT. The longer races are tough and Need to suspend.

The first time I bought a Z06, put slicks fully tuned with race mod & didn't put TCS on. (before I knew anything in the game.)
10 laps on Seca & always spinned on the last.
Wanted to burn my GT5

I was in a c60 hybride. Drove it totally stock and blew all the other cars away. Totally mind numbing experience

That would explain it then.

I don't think there ever been a race in any GT game where a driver of average skill could pick one of if not the fastest of the AI cars in the field without modifying it and then not be significantly faster than they are every lap. Multiply that by 2+ hours and you will destroy them every time on every track unless you crash a lot. At Indy it is hardly a secret that they slow down way too much for the corners in any car, which will make it even worse, despite them using a grade above the stock tires.

A little research goes a long way in endurance races. Even a little common sense helps. On a track like indy one spin can cost you an awful lot of time so you may not want to make it too close, but at least getting an idea of the pace you need to run is a good idea. But the race is run and you got your Jaaag so it's probably not worth doing it again. I had a great race and still have no desire to do it again.

NO I searched gran turismo nds in google and it came up with a few virus links...

There, i fixed it for you. The Gran Turismo franchise have and will always be a PS franchise.

On-topic: You could try these things:
1. Choose a car worse than theirs.
2. Use a wheel. I also did this race, and using a DS3 was SO 🤬 BORING! I went to the pits and suspended. One whole month later i used a wheel. I started from Lap 25 all the way to 200, because a wheel makes it so much more exiting and realistic.

I did it with an X1 just to win the jag. The oval endurance has always a bit of a brain dead experience in gt. But I admit, the tsukuba 9 hours is by far the stupidest race ever.
