You forgot about the pile-ups that happen at the start of most races that I often have to end up crashing into; if I don't I just end up manoeuvring around them and into the lead a little easily. Even though you have a valid point, I don't feel like this post warrants this own thread.
We've got a discussion going on a thread with almost 2,000 posts, and your post would be a good one to put into it. But I don't know if cheating has been covered there.

I found racing online is best with collisions off, unless your with a good group it just gets to messy. Have seen people doing big track cuts on Yas Marina also seen some wall riding going on, last weeks global at Barcelona smelt of wall riding.
You get cheaters on all games, there only cheating themselves at the end of the day.

Am I the only one thinking that, after you select the kind of playlist you want to race in, there should be a little pop-up asking if you want to race in a room with or without collisions? Because that's the main problem for me, is that Collisions are always on; I think CM can patch this in if they make some room.

If collisions are off they might as well remove Race, Endurance, Face Off & Togue from the game. I know it's annoying when 11 guys spin you out in 1 lap but it's not fun driving thru ghost cars. 
Rubbing is racing after all.
Now the main thing that needs to be patched is when the tiers glitch. I saw a Tier 4 NSX in a Tier 1 race. That guy still placed 6th though.
