Well, after getting about everycar, and playing with the tunings of it, there are a few things that really bug me.
I'd hafta say first and foremost, is that I can't use the displacement up option on any of my cars. A good example is, a Camaro SS, which I use because I know more about the LS1 engine then any other. Now, the typical 347 Cid LS1 makes about 310~320hp. However, I know for a fact much more power and especially Torque can be gained by boring it out, to say a 383, or a 396 Cid, but I can't do this? WHY! Hell, it's been documented that people have obtained a 454 Small block from an LS1, but with the millions of GT dollars I have, I can't get anything from it.
Another complaint I have, is that it can make so much power without installing stroker parts. Originally I thought that NA Stage 3 did this, but after reading Displacement up, it says that that it is increasing motor stroke. That is really unrealistic, and even if it was pulled off, it wouldn't be reliable at all.
Third, is that I can't equip anything to any motor. I mean, in a Turbocharged car, why can't I change cams and heads? It won't let me, and why? Or, howcome I can't equip a turbocharger to a NA car? it really makes no sense, it isn't like it already has a Supercharger on it.
Which brings me to what irritates me most, that Turbos are so glorified and Superchargers arn't even mentioned. With them, you could combine stroke and a high output supercharger for minimal cost, to make great low to mid power. Although its not good for higher speeds in excess of 170 or so i'd say, it would be excellent for really low gear tracks like Monaco, Laguna Seca etcetera.
Now this is what really gets me. Since gran Turismo is catered more towards the import fans, and include all the fancy stuff that makes imports fast, where is the ability to have a nitrous shot? I mean, a 100hp wet shot could make the difference between second or first place if you hit it just right comming out of the final turn. This would be really neat, giving you the ability to per se control your window switch, and retard/advance timing. Given you could probably have at most 3 shots during the race, having a spray is by no means a bad thing, as we all know the moment when if we just had an extra hundredth of a second, we could have won.
Thats all for now, but im sure something will irritate me later
