Things You Want To See In GT7 Besides Vehicles & Tracks

I want to see real dealerships, where you can walk between cars and choose. The more exclusive cars could be in a seperate room where you can only enter when you have enough credits/racing points... I would also like a personnal garage where you can display your most valuable and loved cars.
Interesting idea, it would be even better if all cars in GT7 were at autovista level of detail, and one could get close to the car, open doors, look inside, open hood & trunk, as well as test drive the car before buying it.

What about a Replay Editor? What happens is, you save a replay, go to the menu where the replays are saved and there should be an extra icon after highlighting the saved replay that says "Replay Editor" It would be kinda like the photo mode and the replay editor from the PSN downloadable game: PAIN.

In it, you can edit the camera angles on whatever part of the replay you want. You can choose wether the camera will follow the cars or stay still as they go past, choose to switch to different views on whatever car you want (say if you want the camera pointing at an opponent's rear wheel and moving as the car does)

Then it can be saved and even uploaded to YouTube via the PS4's "Share" button.

@Earth
Well... that seems a bit overstated here and there, like I would expect even bottom drawer mechanics would be able to strip out the interior of a car and install a turbo. But there's a lot of meat in there.

Was it you that suggested making the pit crew work a minigame for GT5 way back in 2006? We discussed a lot of ideas, and that one came up. Mash buttons to get your team to work faster, or default to the average time. That could be a good idea too.

@Tenacious D Well, its not meant to be that realistic, at least not in its first iteration. In Metal Gear Solid 5 your first workers are unable to develop a cardboard box without first getting some experience. I found that funny, but its more about adding extra layers to the game. If you start to do poorly or run too low on funds in MGS5, your guys will start to fight or even walk away from the job. Doing things like showing up at your base once in a while helps raise the morale of your workers.

I think such a system would work even better with a full racing team rather then an army. Name your team and design a logo, then build a racing empire with a dozen drivers, dozens of staff, sponsors, etc. And as the boss of it all you'll be rolling in the credits big time.

I think its the direction B-Spec should go towards.

I havent suggested making the pitstops a minigame. After MGS5 I'd like the system to be alot deeper.

They've probably been mentioned but open world free roam AND A PROPER CLUTCH MODEL, let us friggin downshift and rev match properly. I hate that you can downshift like you upshift. I also hate that you have to have the accelerator pedal completely up before you can shift or it doesn't register. So many times I have misshifted online with this. Actually looking forward more to Assetto Corsa and PC2 to release on ps4 because they have proper clutch models and I play for the experience.

As someone who still plays GT6, what I would like to see in GTS/7 in the Seasonal Events the top 10 slots not occupied by people who cheat using the wrong cars for the event, example, this weeks Seasonal Event Non-Racing Drift Trail all the replay are of tools dragging a FF car around to get the high score.
This means you don't get to see people who can actually drift proper in the top ten slots, I do hope PD addresses this and removes the cheaters from the rankings :-)

Surely the issue there is PD and how they code the drifting scoring? They're not cheating if their car is valid for entry, they're exposing a flaw.

Fix is pretty simple, just limit entry to RWD only. Obviously PD cars so little about the Seasonals that they've never even bothered to look at the leaderboards and see what cars are being used. It almost seems like the Seasonals are basically an afterthought, thrown together by the intern that works after school. :sly:

I want some life! Sometimes, Poly's tracks are like pictures.
The Nurburgring 24hr version is a step in the right direction, but all of the tracks need that. Autumn Ring is nice with the birds and airplanes, but when you have near empty grandstands and no other movement around the track, the new additions don't really mean much.

More life on track please but no grid girls. I was watching a video about Super GT in Japan and there were A LOT of grid girls. I don't like it and I'm happy thay PD stays away from this. Even if the new Dead or Alive seems to be a big success overthere.

I don't think it really fits into GT's style/character anyways... I think of grid girls more as the Need For Speed scene and not GT (though I know they do have them in real life).

Not to mention that's just something extra for them to spend more time on because if they're going to be in they BEST look amazing and not thrown together

Even though I'm male, I would customize my avatar to look like that girl from that GT86 trailer. We need female drivers!

I'm not sure which trailer you're referring to exactly, but I generally tend to make my avatar/character female anyways... for reasons ;)

Multi-class grids please.
In pCARS, I'm racing against 35 AI cars from:
3 V8 Supercars
4 Megan Trophys
14 GroupAs(E30 M3, 190E & Sierra RS500)
1 320 BTCC/WTCC
8 Renault Clio Cups(including mine)
5 Historic Touring(2002 & Mk1 Escort

All these cars going around Spa is a godsend. Then, I can up it to 44 AI ar Monza. GT needs this option.

the weather change improve, I liked the night skies in GT6, I hope they bring it back in GTS. I want to see photo travel, with more places! And music for me always was a big factor, and GT taste in music is very good for me, thats why I hope that they add more and more great songs.

I'm sure it's been mentioned here before, but something I really think PD should add – that shouldn't be too much work – is a studio setting for Photomode. A few settings options:
  • A plain white or black room (perhaps even letting players select the colour, just the same as the car paints).
  • With or without a backing wall.
  • The ability to place more than two cars.
  • Custom lighting to allow players to place spotlights around the scene. Lighting is a strength of PD's (let's not talk about the square sun), and I can't imagine it'd be a huge ask to do something like this.
Really, they're most of the way there with this already, considering the press shots throughout GT6. I feel like the Photomode gurus would love something like this, far more than the current back-door approach in GT6.

Don't know if I mentioned it before but if I did it bears repeating. The real time lap time differential. Hands down it's by far the one feature in pc sims that has help me improve my lap times. You get instant feedback, to the thousandth of a second, exactly how much better or worse your cornering is and how much your gain or loss of exit speed affects your laptimes between corners. Absolutely invaluable if you want to improve as a driver and should be a feature in all sims.

I literally just though of this, it's a small thing and not necessary just cool.

I would like a selection of garage styles to choose from that we could walk through, where we could have a few (reasonable amount) cars on display, that we choose from our collection.

We could take photos while there of course.

I don't know if this has been said yet (or if I said it in the past, I don't know), but this is what I'd like:

You remember TDU2 right? When you met up with people before races and stuff you could walk around the cars at the start line. Kinda like a street meet before the race. I'd like that.
Being able to join rooms and when you're in the lobby you're either in the pit or out on track ready to go, and before starting the race you could walk in the pit area / start line to look at the cars that will enter the race. That would be pretty awesome.
