Things you would like to see in GT5 other than cars?

1. Little light AND sound when you reverse.

2. More than six cars per race, less for some.

3. Five second penalty reduced to 3 second.

4. Simplified UI. Hate crossing the country to change my car.

5. Lose the 'G Force Metre'. Makes no sense.

6. Better two player mode. Have bots, teams, or even battles (unlikely)

7. When I can see the tyres, and I change them, then they should change. A good example is the Toyota Motor Triathalon Race Car.

8. Novelty cars (in arcade and two player)

9. Shorter pit times. On TV they take seconds, not minutes.

10. Also should be able to see everything the pit crew does.

11. More exotic road cars.

12. More than just MX-5's and RX-7's and Skylines in the used car shop. Get europeans and mabye old Holden commodores, there isn't a used car dealership in Australia that doesn't have a least one Holden.

13. Ablility to change car colour to only what that car comes in. No pink Rx-8's

14. Harder races more rewarding.

15. More cr to start of with.

16. 'Cryptic Clue' to what the prize car wil be at the end of the series.

17. Save in the middle of endurace races.

18. More choice of what to do in pit, like oil change, adjust suspension or something.

19. No number plates.

20. Less crowd in race tracks. Makes photos nicer to look at.

21. More cones! Hit one at the start of the long straight in LeMans at 450kn/h, should land by the time the reace is over and hit an xbox owner in the back of the head (he he he)

22. Customising the look of your car, but not NFS style. Like stickers and paintjobs and aerodynamic parts, not crappy cardboard spoilers that don't produce any downforce what so ever.

23. Oil change and Car wash don't take as long.

24. Shouldn't save every time you change car. Make it short and sweet.

25. Why include tuner village if it only has two or so upgrades compared to the company tuner brand. Have cheaper/more expensive parts.

26. Ability to rewind replays

27. More camera options in replays. The computer chooses what we watch and sychronised replay isn't much fun either. Same for photomode.

28. Dirt and grass and snow on the car and tyres after you enter a rally or a normal circut and crash.

29. Skidmarks in all cases. But, to save memory, remove the skid marks after you exit the track.

30. Ability to put up/down the roof on convertibles, and to turn on/off headlights

31. Better B-spec. More customisation on how he drives.

32. Reward for how much points you get for A-spec or B-spec.

33. More than just one or two car for some brands. One Spyker, one Saleen, two holdens, only three shelbys?? Get real.

34. Improved Artifical Intelligence (I like saying it full). They just need a little bit of a touch up.

That is all.

the GT series is a car racing game. if you want to drive bikes that bad go play midnight club.

I personally dont like bikes. :O
However, in the interests of an 'evolving driving simulator', i think motorbikes would be a logical next step.
GT1 had only basic tarmac circuits and a handful of cars, now we have real world circuits, real world race cars, rally tracks, rally cars and tracks and vehicles of a historical nature (and you cant tell me that the Benz motor carriage doesnt look like a glorified bike) we even have cars that havent been built yet!
Wouldnt it be interesting to see a Pari-Dakkar style race with cars and bikes???

Will not accept collect calls.

I'd like to see: Ferraris, Lambos, Hummers, Firebirds, SUVs, motorcycles, more minivans and pieces of excrement like Renault Le Car and Honda civic. At least one single-make race for every manufacturer.

The stupid 5-second penalties as an option that can be turned off.
I'm not in love with the damage idea – I like to drive, not wreck. If it's an on/off option, I think everybody’s happy – and it would allow a demo-derby element.

How about a track that’s a perfect circle?

.“Easy” and “Hard” career modes, with the former not being TOO easy, but the hard being incredibly hard.

A track editor, where you can design your own track, complete with curves and elevation changes. Racing for pink slips

Series races that carry over leads/deficits, or save them until the final race for the title.

More cars on the track; at a bare minimum 8, but ideally 20 or so. 36 max. For rolling starts, series or no, qualifying would be a must for a 36-car field. Also, Some sort of mechanism where your B-spec driver (Like ESPN football’s VIP) works for you and competes in the same race. If he wins a race, you have to give up some of the prize money (his salary)

No autosave, unless there’s a “trial period” during which you can shuck a car that doesn’t work for you. The ability to save in the pits. Who’s really got 24 hours to do in one sitting?

I'd like to know the names of the other drivers, and have AI that shows some I. If I'm at Fuji and take it off-road, should the other cars not figure out that I’ve found a shortcut?

Straight-to-finals license tests If you skip the prelims, and do the final and pass on the first test, you should get a 575 Maranello (hint, hint) as a bonus car, if it takes you 300 times, you get a pinto. Or, you can do all the other tests, and get an Audi or something else in the middle.

Start your career in GT5 with one car from GT4 (randomly generated) and no money.

“Vertical loops! I would love to see a track of crazy and unreal roads like vertical loops that let you take advantage of your huge spoiler and fast engine. If you mess it up then you land upside down and it’s all over. This is all about being able to do something the car is clearly capable of while in the real world you don’t want the challenge of engineering a paved vertical loop.”

That may bee too much, but I like the idea of a bridge jump section, where if you miss, you fall in a creek, have to go around, and fall behind or watch the others catch up.

“Cross-country or cross-continent races. LA to NY anyone? Something Cannonball Run style for an endurance race, but with different legs of it so it doesn’t get boring. Can you imagine the spectacular change of scenery as you go from Mexico to Alaska?”

Great idea!

“Different generations of the Nissan Maxima ….” This is a relative of something I would suggest. No more than one generation of each model. For instance 64.5 mustang, 70 mustang, 78 mustang II 84 5.0, 94 Mustang GT, and 2005 Mustang GT. Not 339,882,704,000,340,908,402,651,562,337,024,089,933 skylines/evolutions from the same year.

Rewinding and slow motion for replays. This isn’t some cheap Walkman knockoff that only needs fast-forward and play.

“Let's forget about the money piling up screen. Just give it to me already!” I agree

They should pretend the fast and the furious never happened

No drifting mode

A true world championship (Probably accessible only after you’ve done everything else) A series that includes every track, and allows you to choose among your cars for each race)

“When you modify a car, it should gain value.”
Great idea!

“Nissan 240's are the new Honda Civics” what does that mean?

“All-wheel-drive systems that are specific to their own vehicle (so Subaru's AWD on the Legacys and Imprezas should be different than the one on the Honda Element which in turn should be different than that on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evos etc.)” OK

How about a “personal cup,” where you run every car in your garage in one race.”

“30. Ability to put up/down the roof on convertibles, and to turn on/off headlights” DURING THE RACE

“And you cant tell me that the Benz motor carriage doesn’t look like a glorified bike” My little girl said, “there's a bike.”

Hi, folks. I'm new to GTPlanet. I got GT4 a couple weeks ago and while I'm enjoying it a lot, it definitely could use a little work. Here's what I want for GT5:

1. Ferraris and Porsches, of course. If they can't put either, then it should include the latest cars from Ruf.

2. Online play with tons of features like tournaments, racing for pink slips, ability to buy and sell cars on-line, etc.

3. While the graphics are, without a doubt, amazing, the environments and backgrounds need more detail (for example, the trees are still 2D. The crowds at the non-rally tracks are still made out of cardboard).

4. The car sounds need to be more authentic. Besides, why does the Audi R8 sound like the Calsonic Skyline? 👎

5. Damage modelling. While I don't care much about smashing my car to bits, the excuse that the car manufacterers don't want their cars scratched in a video game is ridiculous.

6. The AI needs to be smarter, craftier and more human-like.

7. The american version of GT5 needs to have a different set of cars to
the japanese version to cater for american demands. (Why all the Skylines?)

8. Championships in the game such as DTM and JGTC should be based on their real-life counterparts, with features such as weight penalties and the same points systems as in real life.

9. Point-to-point rally stages instead of special stages would be nice.

10. A customizable soundtrack.

I have a few other minor gripes with GT4, but generally, its a LOT of fun.

i missed one thing, possibility to make ur race/championchip(nº of races/chose tracks,nº of cars, type of cars, or chose cars from ur garage)

the game have allot cars from several real championchips, but in the game when racing they are all disperce in diferent championchips

in 2 words

CUSTOMIZE RACES

lots of car modders do engine swaps these days i think that should be in it as well as a spray shop. i think races should also have bhp catagories because once you get money the game gets 2 easy cos if you cant win a race you just whack the power up. just like real championships like jgtc, toca and f1 have weight and power restrictions. itl make it more challenging i think.

i was just watching JGTC and i was thinking if there was some guy to tell you come in for a pit stop, and telling u how many seconds the front car is away from you

more places to tune up your cars...... like greddy etc.......

just some car detailing just maybe on window tints, respray, a subwoofer, muffler tip(better car sounds ^^) and putting vinyls on your car wud be nice........

i think the tires arn't overall fully real..... i don't think in the game a 900hp car can run 9's in the las vegas area with sports tires...... but heaps of ppl i know can in real life.......

nd yeah a hard mode or easy or meduim or very hard mode would be great,

(-(-.(-.-).-)-) :)

tinting? Subwoofer? Vinyls? hey everything else is cool haha, but tinting i don't know, sound wouldn't really matter much in "the real driving simulater(sp?)" maybe some decals would be cool

Why woofers or any speakers for that matter? In fact, when you perform the weigh reduction modules, I'd like to see the interior modeled in accordance. I.e. no soundproofing or carpet. I just noticed today that my 2000 Mazda RX-7 Type RZ had the red interior though and that was cool.

I would like to see more American tracks like Sebring, Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen and less variations of Fuji Speedway.

I want to be able to save my replays onto my USB flash drive to upload onto my computer.

Yes, I'd love this. They don't give enough information on the car in front or behind and it would be an awesome addition to have a pit manager talkign to you from time to time ... "Good lap there, pick up the pace, closing on the car in front, watch your offside ..."

More realistic gauges.

I'm sorry, but no matter how much you modify a Fiat Panda, it is not going to do 240MPH.

I would like to see more American cars, but more of the oddball kinds such as the Shelby 86 GLHS Omni or Charger or the Oldsmoble Toronado. I would also like to see more muscle cars from the 70's.

MUCH BETTER AI! Are ya' hearing me, PD?!?

Try running a 200 point race in the Open Speedster factory race at Suzuka. Impossible without traction control! The AI cars just slightly bump you, you're sliding off the course. On slip and you're done for.

That, and more cars on the race track during races, which I think we're getting. The VGT video showed 6 to 20 cars.

And different class or cars on race courses (like ALMS). Like six LMP1 cars, six GT1 cars and six GT2 cars on the same course. Screw LMP2. That should make races a lot more fun! Especially if you're running a LMP1 car!

No more "jerky" car movements. I swear, some races actully make me car sick! I can't touch the F1 cars! Vomit City! Go back to a GT3 style car movement. It might be slower, but it was a lot more real.

More titties.

Also another thing on JGTC, you know how in gt4 they only have the new gen of the NSX for the takata dome, so i was thinking that gt5 could get the new gen nsx for mobil 1, mugen, raybrig. etc

i was kinda thinking of that lol, and after watching the gt5 Trailer, i saw lots of ppl moving in the pit. So i would like to have ppl in the crowd to move too.

Dunno if anyone has mentioned this....

How about random elements?

You are at a street course in New Delhi, India and a cow walks in front of you.

You round a blind corner to see an AI flipped over in the ditch or worse stopped right in front of you.

Physical people that might jump in front of you.

Epinionator89
*Photo Mode that allows blurring of the background and no blur on the car akin to those pictures in Hyundai brochures (tried it in GT4, almost impossible to get the same effect).

I can do this all day long

💡 Expand and Make Car Collecting a bigger part of the
game.

What if car collecting was part of the completion process of completing the game ? I know lots of people enjoy and spend a good deal amount of time collecting cars and trying to get cars in a certain color. My Question to all of you GT lovers out there is what if finding and purchasing or winning the hard to find and rare cars was included in the completion process of the game. Or what if there was like a master list included with the game including the differnt car colors and as you purchased them they was checked off or something like that.
Then maybe the list was only revealed little by little, say each 10 percent completion of the game. Actualy some sort of list might be easier to navagate especially in arcade mode to find cars. Anyway just an ideal that could be added to the list of ideals for side features.
