I would love it if they just had an extra window when you hit restart race durning any race!!! It really sucks when you are in the middle of an endurance race and you didn't see the cursor was on restart not resume. I just had this happen and it really sucks!

I hope they do some of those things, I don't have anything to add - just showing my support. Remember polyphony used 1/4 the man power that companies like rockstar and bioware would use, so I don't think we will get anything like those companies offer. I think well get some of the premiums that weren't finished in time at most like 5 and the rest of the updates will be added functions / options but nothing major. Even if they just do that then it will be far more than other Japanese developers have dished up. Maybe I'm just jaded by the lack of dlc for gt psp though.

I would love to see them add increasing difficulty levels for the A-Spec events. Just take A-Spec, add some HP restrictions for medium difficulty and tire restrictions for hard difficulty. (and maybe different prize cars for new levels)
It would be great if they could get the navigation menu system faster, it just seems slow to me.
My pipe dream would be to see the GT5 Course Maker integrated with Google Street View.

Changed the right anolog stck to forza's style. So we can move the camera around in 3rd person. Wanna sit kaz down and make him play forza 3 for week.

Customization is big for almost everyone.

Getting the option to create your own replicas and paint jobs.

Not only will make the game much much much better but it will probably make peoples life in gt5 longer as they will make amazing paint jobs and make them one of kind.

PD if you give us this in 1.08 we will not just like gt5 but LOVE gt5:)

I want to get back into some more GT5 before bed - Lord, I missed this game for three weeks! And I do have a load of things to mention, but off the top of my head:
  • Every few weeks, perhaps monthly, add additional A-Spec and B-Spec events to offline single player. And for pity's sake, use all these wonderful tracks you created!
  • Every few months or so, add a Photo Mode location, and unlock all the others.
  • At some point, begin offering classic Gran Turismo tracks from past games as DLC. Free or fee, I don't care, but make it affordable if buyable.
  • Periodically, make more cars able to be Race Moddable. Include Standard cars.
  • If you insist on giving us a Paint Shop with no paint of its own, unlock the paint chips so they can be used any number of times. I'd also add a decent list of colors available AT THE SHOP, jeepers!
  • Fix both the credit and XP economy so it doesn't take a year to progress unless you have no life like me. :P
More later, I needs me some racing time!

While my response is a bit late, I think I can contribute some additionally "fun" and "driving sensation" to the game.

Since the game is based on simulation racing, why not have a probability option on each track that will allow the car to suffer engine/suspension driving based on the drivers style of racing. Meaning if the driver is hitting the curbs way to often and too hard it would result in a broken right front or left suspension causing the car to "act up" for short period of time. Or what about suffering from a limp engine a result of a mis-shift where shifting to a lower gear pushes the revs too high in the redline area.

All of these ideas came about on how to improve the fun and dedication to the endurance races. I just find the endurance races monotonous since the A.I. offers little in terms of randomness. It would also be nice to see the computer spin-out, bump people, and make mistakes during the course of an 8 hour race.

Yes, there is only one thing I would like changed (added). I want an online laptime leaderboard, with a friends filter, and the ability to race the ghost cars of my friends best laps. The fact that this wasnt in the game from day one is incredible in the "best racing game of all time". The fact its not there one year after release is an absolute joke. I haven't played this game for about 3 months, and I wont play it again until they add this feature. GT5 is a joke. Kaz is a failure. And I wont ever be buying another GT game.

What I like:

- PD *is* listening to us
- tons of improvements so far
- if I was stuck in a bomb shelter for a year this would be the best racing game to take with me.

Now my complaints:

Things that make me go back to Richard Burns Rally instead for Rally:

- GT5 hasn't a single 'real' rally course.... ie RBR, Dirt3 .... Dirt Tracks that go in a circle aren't rally stages....

Reasons why I play iRacing instead of GT5 online.

- Lag (GT5 has no dedicated servers support) host/peer to peer whatever you want to call it will always lag and never be fair, there should be a way to host Servers from a 3rd party computer/windows PC

Things that make me envious of Forza 4 (i don't own an xbox)

- No reasonably priced car..... Forza has all of them
- Some places to drive other than race tracks - driving isn't only about race tracks...wtf?

Things that make me shake my head... and why I don't take GT5 seriously as a simulator

- First of all: There is no non-track driving in GT5 there is only racing, calling this a driving simulator is quite funny since all you can drive on is race tracks - this game has a personality complex ..... German Truck Simulator is a driving simulator, Simuride is a driving simulator. Driving simulators teach you to drive a car and the rules of the road and the consequences of not doing that... GT5 does not. If this was a driving simulator you'd be able to practice driving in snow with rubber tires - why can't you? because its a racing game - studded tires are for racing.....

- There is way too much hand holding for this to be a simulator - Simulators typically represent the real world and real world consequences, GT5 does not. Examples:

a) you can't drive in or out of the pits, you don't learn to merge into traffic from the pits... 'safe driving is a requirement on a race track'

b) very minimal damage from collisions .... doesn't really instill any fear of accidents that would total a car or even be fatal in the real world...

c) collisions themselves don't hold up to the exceptional physics of the actual driving - very un-realistic crash impacts and results....

d) Invisible walls and barriers .. especially bad on top gear test track and all of the rally stages.... see Richard Burns Rally for learning what happens when you go off the road - in GT5 you can't.

Biggest Complaint / Wish Right Now?

- Fair Racing .... trying to find a fair race where my skill is the determining factor is like trying to find a needle in a haystack while online. This is because tuning is the huge emphasis in this game, nobody uses non-tuned cars and shuffle just doesn't cut it for a fair result. Even with the new options server hosts are having to do a hell of alot of work to get everyone on the same page, tuned the same etc... its just ridiculous. This is the biggest reason I play GT5 99 percent of the time by myself running time trials instead of wasting my time trolling servers ..... this and the lag issues are why I only ever get any serious online racing in iRacing.

- I can afford to spend whatever it takes to rent a game
You forgot one. ;)

I would like to see multiple sub garages so I can have one for standard cars one for tuned cars one for race cars etc so you can find the car you want quick and easily .

I would like to see, when you reach level 40, that the progress bar at the top of the screen be fully colored (red for A-spec; blue for B-spec) and not black. This totally bugs the beejezus out of me. I'm serious.

Ability to try your setup in race mode and modify it just like in GT3. Also access to your garage in Practice Mode without having to exit all the way to the main page.

My most desired change would be the addition of leaderboards for all tracks ideally broken down by PI range and tire type.

The ability to change wheels on standard cars would be nice.

As DLC would love to see Seattle, El Capitan, Motegi, New York and Seoul Central come back to the game.

Would love to see a premium version of the 67 Cougar with a RM option or better still a 69 Eliminator with RM option.

RM for several of the old muscle cars would be awesome.

i'm not gonna list a car or a track.
The ability to play at the same time online with your friend(in the same room) with 2 controllers or wheels, side by side, would be best for me

Having a director mode for replays, allowing us to have custom camera angles (panning or stationary), colour filters (like the ones in photomode) and post processing effect like motion blur and the ability to render replays ino divx avi format :D.

I want an "all available upgrades" button. Just think how much more time you could spend on the track if you could skip all those repetitive clicks! Have one for each section, default to highest pp item.

A one button max tune (all weight reduction options, engine parts max power, top gearbox and suspension) facility for when you just want to max out a car. Things like the bonnet option, rigidity improvement and tyres could be left up to the user.

The ability to see the actual in game colours of the paint chips when in the item list instead of the little square which sometimes doesn't really show the real colour.

My thanks to all who showed me the error of my ways
