TDU2... That's the funniest thing I've read all day, and I was just over at Cracked.com.

Anyway... Another one of these threads? I just don't get it. I've quit playing probably hundreds of games over the years and I never once felt like it was necessary to announce it to the world. :boggled:

If it's dying for you, OP, well, I guess that's just how it goes. Good luck to ya.

Personally, I've got dozens of cars that I haven't tried yet, tracks to perfect and thousands upon thousands of online competitors to, um... compete with.

I'm not even close to done with this game yet and I bought on day one.

Which one? Gran Turismo 3? A bit... Its still good though.

Oh you meant Gran Turismo 5... Are you crazy?

I've never felt any GT game run out of replay value, not even GT5.

I don't deny your right to express an opinion, but I do have to humbly contest it in saying that you are simply wrong. I put down GT5 for about 3 months and then 2.00 came out and it was like playing a new game. This game now feels better than GT4 and close to GT3 in terms of the "feel" of Gran Turismo it gives you.

Le sigh.

PD just sold 7.3 milion copies+the dlc........yeah i think its far from dying

So what I'm getting out of this is, the OP
Is bored of GT5 and some how it's now starting to die because of his boredom?

I still have a mount of things I want to do with the game which I'm hoping will be done before GT6, must be you.

You've only played for a year and your getting tired of it. I've been playing GT since '98 and I still haven't gotten tired of this game yet.

You're not alone:tup:👍👍

For some reason I even feel that having a gaming console without a Gran Turismo title is like eating a hotdog without a sausage :D

I have like 30 PS3 games and none of them have seen the Bluray drive of my PS3 since 11/10... Even when I have nothing to do in GT5, there is still something that doesn't let me take it out and put it in its box :)

I started playing at the start of the year am at level 40 A spec and 40 B spec now 100% game golded everything thes only 2 vettel challenges to gold then i have my platinum so for offline thes nothing to do

As for online same again allways the same old same old we need something new puting in the game like a drag racing track or more new tracks like silverstone

With the money they got from all the people that got the DLCs and Gran Turismo cant be that hard up to buy rights for to have porsche and to put some more new tracks in like come on they made millions from this game put some money back in for your fans !

EA owns the Porsche license and they are not selling it.

Its pretty hard to buy something that isn't for sale...

maybe Kaz should say something like this " I will make you an offer you can't refuse"

If you (the OP) feels like that then I guess GT5 has run it's course for you. But personally speaking it's not a game you 'finish'. For instance, do you race online or have you set yourself the challenge of running the A-spec enduros with underpowered cars? If your idea of this game is to get 100% and all the golds and trophies as quickly as possible, you may be missing the point.

TDU 2 sucks
Not as much as gt5... The ps3 really dose'nt have very many good racing games.

I've only been doing A-Spec, B-Spec, and seasonals (and a lot of cruising in arcade). Currently trying to gold the special events. Haven't even touched multiplayer, and for the last year GT5 has been my number 1 game.

Gotta have to disagree as well. :yuck:

TDU2 IS a dead game. It was fun at first, but got boring quick and the lack of support didn't help either. It's just sitting on the shelves at my local stores being priced at no more than $19.99 only after a year later...

sdf
I play games 20+ years and GT series is the only series that every instalment keeps on going even after the release of the next instalment.
No GT5 isnt dying in any way.
btw.. GT5 was released before 14 months. How many games after 14months are still in frond line and get major support from the fans and the devs?

Well said. the continued support is fantastic, and could keep going, as Kaz himself has said he would have liked another two years. But it's the only game series, where i play the game for over a year, and barely get bored of. The any other that comes close is any game by rockstar, and heck, even those huge games by bethesda don't last that long.

At least PD is actually TRYING to improve GT5 so everyone will quit bitching, something barely any game company does.

Ummm this is clearly not true in itself.

1, dont revive 6 month old dead threads... They died for a reason..

2, if they werent improving the game still, why do we get DLC and updates?

You could always create another account and start over.

Exactly what I did earlier this week and this time I am using different cars in A-Spec. Best decision I have made in a while. Found myself at it till 2AM last night ...very satisfied customer again. I would never have thought the Legacy Touring Wagon 2.0 GT Spec C was so epic had I not done this second account thing! Love this game ...getting to Level 40 on the 1st account almost killed it for me ...

Same for me, since I bought a G27 wheel it's like a new game for me.
I'm now more passionate about it than before.

To the OP: try the WRS Races and TT's, you won't be dissapointed :)

Sometimes you just need to take a break, don't play it ALL the time. Join some leagues, it's good when you are racing against other clean racers .

100% game golded everything thes only 2 vettel challenges to gold then i have my platinum so for offline thes nothing to do

Obviously there are 2 somethings left for you to do offline. You have not golded everything and beaten the game. You are not finished.

Have you heard that new DLC is coming with Motegi? 17 months later and the developers are *still* adding new content! Granted it costs money but nobody can say there's not "something new putting in the game like... more new tracks."

With the money they got from all the people that got the DLCs and Gran Turismo cant be that hard up to buy rights for to have porsche and to put some more new tracks in like come on they made millions from this game put some money back in for your fans !

The rights to Porsche license was addressed by others.

In response to the thread subject, I think it depends on a lot of things, including:
-- How much do you enjoy racing games in general?
-- Do you enjoy other kinds of games more than racing games, and if so, does this make it seem like GT5 is relatively boring because you have other game interests?
-- Does your gaming setup take good advantage of the A/V capabilities of the PS3 (i.e. does it look and sound as good as you can get it)?
-- Do you have ADD and get bored or distracted easily?

Every video game eventually suffers a slow death, as people play it over time and approach 100% completion (saturation? LOL) they will either lose interest in it and/or gain interest in other games. It is just a matter of time. For me, I still play GT2/3/4, if that gives you an idea. Call me a fanboy, I don't care. I'm not bashing other racing games, I'm just saying that I love motorsports and I love Gran Turismo. GT5 is the best yet and I seriously don't know if I will ever get bored with it. The online part alone will keep me playing for years, as long as there are servers to run it.

^ Fantastic response. 👍

ABstinence
Ummm this is clearly not true in itself.

SERIOUSLY???? You had to resurrect this bitchy thread?

He's been bumping old threads for the last hour, who knows why.

Probably because every time someone posts a new thread that hasn't hired a private detective and a linguist to find every possible combination and permutation of a subject from a previous post, they get leaped on by wannabemods and mods themselves for starting new threads on subjects previously covered.
