This Week's Mileage Exchange Features the Missing Inks...

I haven't seen any new colours for the last four weeks even though I'm certain that I'm far from having a complete collection. Just banking all those MP for now.
 
Tuesday 23rd June – Major Update (i.e. Car Update)

The (often repeated) Silver Merc-AMG [Gr.X] Safety Car stays over from last week..... and the Chevrolet Corvette C7 [N500] Gr.3 Road Car in Lime Rock Green (dark) this time. Previously also supplied in Laguna Seca Blue, Velocity Yellow Tintcoat, Artic White, GT Silver, Torch Red (bright), Crystal Red Tintcoat (deep), Cyber Gray Metallic (v.dark) and Night Race Blue Metallic (v.dark).

Special Colours:

Real Manufacturers Paints: Rhodium Silver(Repeat from last week, or are there 2 variants?)/Blanc Perle Nacre/Lava Orange/Ultraviolet/
Redline Red Tri-Coat Pearl/B5 Blue Pearl/WR Blue Pearl/Pure Red/Uranus Grey/Championship White.

Chrome: R1/O1 + O2/Y1 + Y2.

Fluorescent: R1.

I started playing in November 2017 but was quite inactive for a long time after I earned the Platinum Trophy a month later. I bought stuff from the Mileage Shop before when I had the MP necessary but only started very recently (in May) to buy up everything that isn't ticked off yet. That involves going out of my way and do races just to earn MP, which is something I wasn't doing before.
 
Again the same cars just a different color.. Why did i start playing this game so late, i want those road cars :(:(

If the Evo and Atenza come in colors other than the red and silver that have been repeatedly made available since the game's launch, and PD(I) stick to their current weekly rotation scheme, the other cars should arrive on the following dates:

- Subaru WRX: August 25th
- Ford Mustang: October 20th
- Mazda Atenza: December 29th
- Peugeot RCZ: February 23rd
- Alfa Romeo 4C: April 6th

If those extra colors get ignored once again, the WRX, Mustang and Atenza will arrive five weeks earlier, with the RCZ and 4C coming 12 weeks earlier than what's stated above.

Let us hope they do cycle those colours on the Evo and Atenza because this is gonna be a long grind for car colours, my mind can't be bothered grinding for at least another year but given each car is 5000 points a time I'd be out of points if I don't keep my daily run going!

I do wonder why it took so long for them to decide to do the cars this way but I guess with the old cycle and randomly picking the colour it would have taken even longer to get every colour...

Also any objections if I post this up as a picture in Sport so everyone know the dates for the cars coming back again?
 
I don't understand why this content is longer time gated. Why not make all colours available in the game permanently, and still need the mileage points to buy them?

How many people are actually waiting for a certain colour to pop up on the weekly menu, to finally be able to finish a livery they have in mind?
For these colours to become more useful, make them available for decals too.
If a weekly logging incentive is necessary for whatever earnings model, then discount a number of colours each week. Let creativity be the incentive to log in, instead of the age old "gotta catch them all" tactics.

On this point the cars and paints were actually discounted at the start of Gran Turismo Sport at 50% less mileage points but that stopped sometime in 2019, can't recall when so on my main account I was able to get everything cheap but it's much harder now.

The other incentive I would say that needs to happen is we need to be allowed a higher amount of mileage points for the distance we drive as the current formula is not very rewarding and means having to do multiple races multiple times to get the points needed each week.

At least one point has changed in that the Road Cars now change colour each week so we should all now be able to get each colour but hopefully the next GT game will go back to the old system of giving us paint and wheel chips etc as prize rewards for completing events thus reducing the need to grind constantly 24/7 just in case a rare paint comes up!

I started playing this game at the end of March this year, so I've got a lot of MP's tp farm and time to spread in case I'd want all the paints available. It would be a lot easier to just buy the paint chips I need to fix up a livery, instead of waiting if the one I want pops up in the weekly selection. At this rate, I'd done and gone from this game, before the nice colours I want become available.
The best incentive to grind for, for me that is, is mechanical or electronical upgrades. Something that actually improves performance.
 
Nothing new for me this week. Well, another color Corvette I didn't have. I have to have all now? 9 or 10?
Funny thing, if I got 10 n-class Corvettes on the DWG wheel. I would've deleted all but 2!

Same here. Didn't have anything new on there for the last 7 weeks or so, except for a set of wheels I must have overlooked the last time. I guess there are nowhere near as many colours as I thought there'd be.

I just realized that you can see all the special colours you've bought in the livery editor (I only noticed now because I don't really make liveries). I counted them and found out that I've got 373 special colours. Is that all of them or are there more?

Such an expensive week this week I could almost cry at the prospect of spending so many mileage points all at once. :boggled:

I have enough to get everything but it does mean more grinding over the weekend so that I can build the total back up again for the next set of cars!

Hopefully Tuesday see's us snag the Mercedes-Benz safety car in red, if it does appear alongside the Evo then I guess that almost confirms we will see the road cars go through all the colours this time round. :cheers:

I really hope I get to see the Crown and Megane safety cars again, I missed out on them and only got the Charger safety car.
 
Ouch those 2,000 point chromes. I have a few but the only ones I ever bought when they were on special for 500? maybe 2 yrs ago?
