@Clean Racer @fastone371 @bloodyboyblue @aceboy127 @Tom aka newb @micantony

You guys ready to race tonight? We're going to skip the 20 minute race and do all 40 to test out the pit strategy.

Wish I was there, working late. Work really is one of those 4 letter words I guess:censored:. That was just practice, correct? I gotta get my butt in gear and start driving that car.

What kind of lap times should I be shooting for at The Mountain? I dont expect to win, just run mid pack

OFFICIAL NOTICE

SERIES OPENER

This Tuesday Oct 2nd starts the beginning of the 86 Racing Series and I hope everyone is just as excited as I am.

The Series starts off with a 20 minute Qualifying Round followed by a 20 minute & 40 minute race.
If you do not make it in time for the qualifying round you will be placed in the rear of the field for the first race.

I also want to encourage everyone to go back and watch the last lobby #1 practice replay I posted. There was some not so good driving behavior from people in that practice.
We promote clean driving in this league and while most everyone did very well on that matter there were some people in that practice who did things deemed completely unacceptable by the league rules.
Just because the race is set not to penalize you doesn't mean we won't.

We will not be using any penalty system from the game. It will be up to you to abide by the rules. If someone else feels you are abusing the system or sees you taking things to far or your caught cheating then the penalty handedout by us might be far greater than the games penalties.

All race disputes must be done in private only after the race is over by contacting desertpenguin and myself Rinsky by Private Message. We will review the replay and make a decision on the infractions if any. We will use Macboyilija as our 3rd steward for final decisions.

Any incident report must be submitted within 48 hours of the end of each race day. Any reports submitted beyond this period will not be reviewed. Do not take this duty lightly. If you see something, report it. When reporting an incident, be sure to include the time of when it happened using lap number, minutes, and seconds. On track concession (giving position(s) back/letting off the gas to lose illegally gained momentum) creates the opportunity for a penalty to be reduced or eliminated.

Penalty Points remain with the driver until they are worked off. One race of driving without penalties removes 2 points from your penalty score. With three races on race day, this means a total of 6 points are available for removal each week. If your penalty score reaches 20 you are immediately suspended from the next race day. If your penalty score reaches 30 you will be invited to a private conversation with Rinsky and DesertPenguin to determine your future in the series.

Level 1 (1 - 3 point penalty)

A minor incident, usually due to a lapse in concentration. A bump in a braking zone, crossing the pit exit line, or a minor abuse of track limits, things of that nature.

Level 2 (4 - 6 point penalty)

An incident in which a driver was not properly using situational awareness with the other cars around them. Examples include an unsafe reentry, missing a braking zone which causes a collision, or a push when side by side causing the other car to lose control or go off.

Level 3 (7 - 10 point penalty)

Proper race craft and judgement has been ignored. Most likely an avoidable collision. This usually happens when one is too aggressive making a pass, creating a situation in which other cars may be at risk. Excessive blocking and dive bombing are clear examples of a Level 3 penalty. If an incident creates a situation in which the victim driver cannot feasibly recover properly, it will be Level 3 or higher.

Level 4 (11+ point penalty)

Malicious intent is a major concern and may be confirmed. These types of incidents are most likely race ending and a serious discussion with Rinsky and DesertPenguin will be required to determine the severity of the punishment. Race suspensions are a possibility.

Again all race replays and reported racing incidents will be reviewed by @DesertPenguin @Macboyilija @Rinsky
This will insure that a clear and decisive decision will be made on every matter.

Public Driver shaming is also not permitted. If you have a problem with another driver on the track then it should be brought to our attention in a Private Message and never in this thread.

Let's all have fun. Remember to be very respectful to your fellow racers. And let's make the Series opener a great success.

Where is the replay posted of the practice race???

Mr. Desert Penguin, do you know if we are friends on PS? Just asking in case I forget to check tomorrow morning. I can find the race lobby by looking for friends Tuesday night, correct? Or is there a better way to find the race lobby?

I believe we are. I'll put the replay up real quick for ya. On Tuesday, the best way is to check here and I will post the Room ID # for you to input in your game. Being friends it should allow you to join.

Look under my profile.

I'm probably going to need to HP advantage cause I really suck at Mnt. Panorama. So far the best I could muster with the permitted 250HP engine tune and the required race hards is a 2.41, I think I saw a tortise pull beside me and he wasnt even breathing hard

There are definitely some fast guys here but it's all about consistency over the course of a race. Don't worry about it too much though. Remember it's just a game in the end :)

Don't worry about your speed it will come. It's all about being consistent here. If you can be consistent then the speed will follow quickly as you learn where and where not to push the car.

Oh it's 221hp and Sport Softs so if your running 250hp and Race Hards that might also have something to do with your times being in the 2:41 range.
You would think it would be faster but that's not always the case.

WHAT???!!!???? Less power and sport tires???:eek::eek::eek: You guys must be running 3:35s so I'm looking great!!!!! In all seriousness I'm only at 2:41 with the proper settings, nice thing is being that slow it is pretty easy to be consistant. I tried driving it like a race car but that didnt seem to work well, just doesnt have enough power on corner exit. Now I'm focusing on keeping momentum up, it helps but speed is only coming a 1/10 or 2 at a time. I'm curious to find out where I'm really slow, probably everywhere

I hope your season gets off to a great start tomorrow. Sorry I won’t be participating as I have made another commitment. I look forward to when I do.
Good luck all
