i have managed to do it....i have beaten coutseys time with the audi R8....i manage to make that SOB go 330.02, i do not have the picture at the moment due to the fact that i cant get it off my camera to the comp until i have the disk....but the pic is on the camera, so go ahead and put it on the board as unconfirmed...but it shall be confirmed soon....

can you share some setups with us. I fastest was 315
 
I think that 325+ in the Audi R8 wouldn't be that hard, because I'm sure that it will be much more stable than some cars *cough*88C-V*cough* and more controllable *cough*TS020*cough* :lol: but then again I don't have one so I can't judge it, or test it :(

However, I have 3,3xx,xxxcr. rising rapidly as I save up for an R8, which I've wanted ever since doing it's mission (I don't care if the Pescarolo is faster!), so I will have an R8 speed up shortly.

Oh, and by the way I've done much more than 330mph in my 88C-V but I never took a photo and consequently forgot... I spotted it a few days ago on my leaderboard so I suppose I'd better do it again and post a photo ;) !

yes, ill be nice and post my settings....but that will have to wait till later...due to the fact that i am currently playing GTA San Andreas just to mess around...but the settings will be up soon
 
got past 300 mph marker in my Supra RZ '97. I'll put a pic here soon, if i just can get a good pic of it. I posted my settings on the supra thread.. GO ME! :sly:

with these settings i was able to acheive the record setting time for this car, 330.02, now, if you wish to beat my time, please use your own settings and not mine...that would just take the fun out of it....and how can you learn if you just copy everyone elses settings? you cant....it just makes you reliant on everybody else.....but i will give you this much advice, the best place to start the spray is right as you come out of the turn and are going on the back straight.....have fun people.....

Giving away all your secrets, Low? You're a generous man. :) I tell you what, that R8 looks pretty useful. I've got 2 24hr races left to do, so I'm looking for a good car.

DE, Following a top secret test session, I've got a new top speed for the Sauber: 316.16mph. As usual I'm too stupid to be able to post confirmation :dunce: , but I know I did it, so I'm happy to be unconfirmed....

Need a new project, now that dratted Leonidae has taken the wind out of my sails, and the black 6.2m Supra that is even now sitting in my garage is as good as useless.... :ouch:

yeah, i can not see why i should hide my settings...if you are determined enough you will eventually figure it out....most people dont know about the toe angle trick though...pretty slick.....but yeah, the R8 is a good car, you should get one.....well im out, peace
 
Bad luck with the Supra Eddie! However, I'm sure the new Sauber speed will compensate for it :p

Low, I have actually left toe angles alone completely and still done 330 :) I might start messing with them now you've said that but I'll have to forget your settings before I do, otherwise it'd feel a bit cheap! It's still a tough choice between the Audi and the Pescarolo '04 but I'm going to get the Audi.

Why did Polyphony not feature it in Champion Racing livery though? The Champion colours are properly cool, but Audi just put it out in dull grey :ouch:

Lol. But seriously, that's a 9. And, unfortunately, 480.19 KM roughly equals 297.72 MPH (480.19*.62=297.7178). Sorry Leonidae.
 
it can't be.. since when I did divide 300 with 1,6 and I got 480 km/h as result, and I'm over that limit.. :odd: :confused: oh well, if it is as you say, that I'm lacking 3.xxx miles from the limit, I shall return to the testcourse with that black beast, just to make it sure that I'll get in to the 300 mph club!! :mad: :trouble:

My rough calculations tell me that you have to go 483.88 KM/H (300.00 MPH/.62=483.87096774193548387096774193548KM/H). So, not much faster in KM/H. Keep trying!
 
why not just change the measurements to MPH while you do your top speeds...then swap it back later? that would be easier than all this math BS.....i mean for real....why do some algebra if is not neccasary....

Hello Slick Rick. For that car, 321.85 is pretty quick. I recommend you read the entire topic when you find some time, it is quite irritating to have to go over everything every time someone new comes along but to summarise you are the third fastest person to use that car. I like your Destroyer 👍

EDIT - By the way, I did about 330 in my 88C-V again today, but I really do have no idea how 350 is possible... :bowdown: couttsey :bowdown:

my my, ho have we managed to fall this far down the board...we are almost to page two in the threads list.....this entry should bump us up....other than that.....its good to see we have a new comer....if he manages to beat mine or even your time with the r92cp DE i will have to burn some midnight oil and re set the time.....well, im out...peace
 
I was thinking that myself Low. I like the way you say 'mine or even your time with the R92CP DE' :) they're within 0.1mph of each other 👍 !

I agree in that if anybody beats my R92CP speed I will stay up until the next morning if I have to in order to take back the R92 record :)

On a very happy note, I have bought an Audi R8 at long last ! ! ! (Red, not the tacky yellow :yuck::)). When I took it to the Sarthe II for a test drive in free run mode, I left everything stock. I turned the TV off when I pressed 'A-Spec' in order not to see or hear the car until I had control :p I hate the rolling starts for that! Anyhow, after only three laps I managed a 3'02.xxx lap and was absolutely amazed at how stable the car was, even on the full length of the Mulsanne... I went into the little right-hander of the Mulsanne, very hard, at 233mph, I came out of it at.. 233mph! How can a car hold it's speed that well?! :D:D:D My new favourite car!

So, I will open fire on the Audi R8 speed record too :)

false alert.. it's there, because I almost got it, but then someone made more accurate calculations.. I'm in same point as i am with ZZ-II.. lacking 3 frigging miles from the membership!! :ouch:
 
Yeah..I haven't played GT in over 2 weeks..except to do a setup for a car. Which I haven't even put in at the vault yet. lol..I will try the RZ tonight. I tried the RX7..and I think it got around 290.Hmm..ZZII next..then I'll try and beat the R8 records. I have another car in mind but I will have to try it first.Z06? or ZR1?
